Model Nails

It pains me to update this but my gel Manicure pealed off like 3 days later which made me very sad after my great experience :(

What wonderful women there are in here! I love how friendly and welcoming they are. This is not your super-​upscale spa experience. However, it is a great little place to go in, get a great manicure, not pay a high fee, and have a smile delivered to you. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been to many nail salons and this one is one of the very best! I got a pedicure with Tammy and she was very friendly and did a great job. This will be my go to from now on.

Let me begin by saying that the ladies who work at Model Nails are so sweet. It was my first time at this salon and each employee made me feel like a long time regular. There are many nail polish colors to choose from in all my favorite brands like OPI, Orley and Essie. The massage chairs and foot spas are clean, in good condition, and even have a built in spot for your beverage. At $ 19 for a basic spa pedicure I’d have to say the price is almost unbeatable.
Now for the disappointing part. The sweet ladies who work here are not exactly masters of their craft. My toenails have no shape. They kind of look like boy toenails cut all crooked with different lengths. The nail polish was applied in a thick mess and looks like my nail polish work from when I was a young girl. The final disappointment was that no one in Model Nails paints fun art on your nails as a signature, finishing touch. My pedicure experience was so disappointing that I skipped the manicure.
I’d like to think other employees in the salon are able to cut and shape nails better than what I experienced. But as I looked around everyone seemed to have the same novice pedicure with gloppy polish application. I guess you really do get what you pay for.

50cents extra charge for credit card, and realllly strong smell here! Not that friendly either :(could have sat me down and soak my feet while i wait for 20 mins but nope :/

I’m a dude, with a smoking hot wife! I like football, nachos and apparently spa pedicures now? I went in with my wife and enjoyed a very relaxing massage. The service was amazing. Being that when I’m at work and I’m on my feet a lot, the spa pedicure felt great. Try it fellas, you won’t regret it!

This review is for the SPA Pedicure, done by «Tammy» … Seriously, spend the extra $ 10 and upgrade from the Basic Pedi. This is the most relaxing, spa-​quality pedi I’ve ever received, and I’m picky about them.
Basic is $ 18 and spa is $ 28. You DO seem to get what you pay for. (Leg sugar scrub, lotion, hot towel, paraffin soak for feet… Sooo good.) The massage chairs have a tray for phone/​drink holder/​magazines.
The polish was applied excellently. Large selection on the wall though I brought my own color. She used a delicate brush to remove excess.
I’m thrilled I stopped in here, which I did because it was the closest to home, open on a Sunday. I called 30 minutes before I came in, and was greeted with a couple magazines, feet soaking in the foot bath, massage chair on while I waited… Yep good stuff — I will definitely be back.

They charge me $ 33 for a set mani and pedi but I struggle throughout the process. They cut me so many times and my French are not even even. :(
I like the people in there. They’re all nice but I went there not to meet with nice people, I went there to get my nails done. I didn’t like the outcome. I wouldn’t see myself coming back on this place. It’s not worth it!

I try to avoid this place as much as I can, if you’re desperate to get your nails done by all means come here but don’t expect your acylic set to last longer than a week and a half. I had a set of nails done here, and the very same day two of them broke while I was at work. I wasn’t even doing anything strenuous I was opening a door!
The only time I come here is when I can’t get an appointment at one of my resident salons. When this place gets packed the staff will do anything and everything including doing a spotty job to get your money and get you out of there.
For what they charge the quality could be a little better.

It’s a small hole in the wall place, but the women in there are obviously regulars and the staff know them by name. I only had the manicure with French tip, pretty standard. They have a Monday-​Wednesday manicure + pedicure special for $ 24.99. This duo lasts approximately one hour, from what I’ve seen.

So basically she is good, she does what i want my nails always look fantastic they are thin and they last for at least 3 weeks I am currently doing the gel nails. Prices are great I think I pay around 15 bucks for a color change on my gel nails now.
There pedicures are good to I think there are 18 dollars for a basic pedicure.

Agree — it’s in a small strip mall, so expect basic service — it’s not a spa! Hence the 4 of 5 stars. But good basic service is what I get for my pedicures every time — from Anna preferentially if I think to call ahead. The staff is friendly and sweet. It appears clean; I’ve been going there for years and never had a problem. My feet are happy –

Two words: strip mall. Looking at the place you know you really shouldn’t expect much! So I didn’t, but actually got better service than expected. I live down the street and love to stop by and get a quick Pedi. It’s not expensive, so you get what you pay for. When I want a fancy pampering Pedi, I’ll go get one and pay more. The staff is friendly and I will be going back.

I have to Disagree with the last review by Lucy S. I had nice long natural nails one started to brake so I decided to have them coated with acrilyic to make them stronger Rosa did my nails and they are thick and FAKE looking, I hate them now they look more fake the lee press on nails! I’m going somewhere else to see if they can be filed down, Plus I do not think the place was clean at all.

I have to totally disagree with Michelle L. I’m sorry she had a bad experience with Anna but Ivy and Rosa are the best. I’ve been going to Ivy ever since I moved here from NY 11 years ago. She is the only person I trust with my nails. I’m extremely picky, but Ivy always does great. Her sister Rosa is amazing as well.
