First off the experience was great i dinged off one star because I felt like the masseuses were rushing through the massage meaning they were massaging inna very fast pace which lead to some uncomfortable moments so if you do go ask your masseuses to go slower during the massage but overall pricing is very good 40 $ for 1 hour body who can beat that? The atmosphere in the building is relaxing as well and the room we got we were able to hear the waterfall in the lobby which made me fall asleep personally but yeah i would definitely keep coming back here instead of other places

Seems like the more we come here the more the quality goes down. A few times had to cancel because they didn’t have enough masseuse to handle the amount of people we have and the ones they do have seems to be new or something because they aren’t good and the ones we had before that were good seems to not work there anymore or something. Oh well had a good time here while it lasted.

If I had the time I would be here every week! What’s not to LOVE?! Well one thing: if the masseuses talk amongst themselves… Ok ok it only happened once but cmon now!
The foot reflexology is my TO GO thing… I like it a little harder, so I request the guys. If you tell the front desk people they will tell you who gives massages softer, & others more stronger.
& the price? VERY worth it.
Although I haven’t been back in awhile, I will be back ya’ll! Coming out with my messy hair because they massage the scalp too teehee.
I cannot wait to have my feet in water, get my head massaged down to my feet.

I really really loved my foot massage. It was actually a full body massage with clothes on, and did I mention super cheap! AWESOME right!!! Kate was also great! Next time I’m going to come here with booty shorts, spaghetti strap tank top and no make up so I can also have them massage my face like they were going to do but I told her not to touch my face because I had makeup on and was still going out with my girlfriends who had came with me.
Foot massages are done in a huge room with other people, each person having their own table/​bed, but the lights are turned down low and they also cover your eyes with a cloth so it’s not bad. Luckily no one was snoring or talking which they shouldn’t be in the first place.
I gave this place 3 stars because of the location, kind of ghetto. The outside of the building was not pleasing nor was the lobby. But for the price and Kate being so awesome it was worth it! I will definitely come again!!!

I’m so bummed ever since they become the NEW Miya day Spa it totally suck now. I’m not as relax as before and I leave not feeling refresh but with bruises on my back and neck. I need to find a new spot when I need a good massage in Sac.

This place is great! Really relaxing full body massage and the new owner is incredibly nice.
I have been here many times for the full body massage and it is amazing. The décor of the rooms are very simple and perfect for relaxation. The music they play during your massage definitely sets the mood as well. I really like the massage oil they use and the hot towels to wash it off afterwards. In the full body, they massage your back arms and legs (front and back), face, scalp, neck, feet, and hands. The ladies here are incredibly sweet and occasionally check in to see how you feel and how the pressure is for you. They also offer you water or tea at the end of your massage also.
Ultimately, this place is clean and worth the money. I also recommend Angel; she’s the best! This is definitely my go to massage/​spa place.

No wonder this place sucks now. It’s under new ownership. I hate how at Happy Day Spa it felt like we were in an assembly line and now I hate how New Miya Day Spa hires annoying people who yells, sings, and brings in their kids to run around while trying to give a massage. It felt more like a zoo than a massage parlor. It was better back then with the old owners. New owners if you’re reading this, get your crap together because you just lost a loyal customer to Lady Saigon.

We made an appt for A 430 pm couples massage. Walked in and were told by the receptionist that she gave our spot away to a walk in, and they didn’t have a massage therapist available for both of us anymore. What’s the point of making an appointment then? One star additional because receptionist called back after we left and offered for us to come back and apologized.

First off this isn’t my first time here. I’ve been here numerous of times and had all great experiences. But today was very disappointing. I only received half of the things they would normally do. The staff here changes all the time. After telling the staff that we didn’t get the full massage that we were suppose to get, that we only had certain areas done. The front desk girl said she was monitoring what they were doing and that she insisted that we did get the full massage. So I asked her if she can review cameras. On top of that she implied that we had an extra 25 min. In which we didn’t because if they did then we should be able to smell the scent of their lotion on my skin.

Be careful the information they give you over the phone changes wanted to try them but will stick with my regular

Carmen is amazing. Full body massage and spa/​sauna for $ 37. BUT the women’s spa and sauna do not work. We were ushered into the men’s sauna. The spa didn’t work either anddddd we found two dead bugs on the floor.

Tina is amazzzzing. Seriously up there with one of the best massages I’ve ever had, and that’s including fancy schmancy spas. And you can’t beat $ 20/​hour. This is one of the few foot massage places that ask guys to take off their shirts and whose masseuses will unhook a woman’s bra while lying face down on the table, but Tina really got in there and worked my back. She applied just the right amount of pressure and used techniques I haven’t felt before, especially on my feet and back. I’ve been here before, but now I know who to request. I’ll be back!

It’s sad to say but this used to be one of my favorite massage parlors. They use to have very good masseuss. Only 2 years ago they had good customer service and the massage was good. Seems like all their good masseuss left. The last time I went there to get a massage I couldn’t feel a thing. Asked for the lady to apply more pressure and she said she couldn’t. So they had to call another lady in. Not to mention I had to wait 10 minutes to get in because the door was locked and I even called ahead of time. Needless to say I finally gave up on Miya.

I guess I am one of those people who have to keep trying and hate to give up on what was once a good thing.
My friend had several massage tickets left and wondered if we could use them with the new management.
She was told that they would honor half of the value of the ticket, so each of us had to pay $ 10.00 in addition to the paid ticket.
I doubt that this is legally sound, but we went and had a massage.
Both her and I felt that the massage was ok, nothing great, not bad. We did not feel welcome as long time customers and the ambiance and value is not the kind that would make us come back.
It seems as though neither the owner nor the manager of this place care very much about their business and their customers. Good Bye Miya!

I called in ahead of time to see if they were busy. He told me to come in to look at the prices. Really basic! $ 20 for foot $ 40 for body. I got 2 $ 20 for me and my sister. When they say foot … Trust me it’s your WHOLE body! It was AMAZING! I love how the owner asked me if I wanted a male or female but that didn’t really matter because I was anxious about seeing how good they are. Lol. So we got in and it was really spacious. I had a guy and he asked if I wanted him to be rough or soft. The best part was the end when they did my back! Be ware that they DO undo your bra strap. Overall it was the best! Better than HELLO DAY SPA! I recommend you to wear shorts because they massage from knee down. I would definitely come back for another $ 20 foot massage. They even went 10 minutes over just to finish their duty! Then they top it off with cold water or hot tea :)

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I will never go to happy day spa again. I swear they must ration their lotion because the last few times I left feeling like I was covered in rug burns. Miya has been my best experience with this type of massage. They even have lockers, little outfits for you to change into and a steam shower & dry sauna in their locker room. However, the sauna has been broken every time I’ve gone. That is the only improvement they need. Other than that, it’s amazing. The price is so low, I always feel guilty and end up tipping my masseuse double. She’s THAT good! I want to hug her when I leave because I’m so happy, but that might just creep her out.

Stopped by on a Friday evening for a foot massage. The blue haired receptionist was busy playing game, the place has a funky smell, half eaten pieces of watermelon laying on the receptionist desk, over-​flown trash can in the waiting area, empty water bottle left on the guest table… I did not want my feet to be touched by anyone at this establishment, so I took off running back to my car, wrote this review in haste and hope that management at Miya read Unilocal reviews and make blue haired go pick up trash in the waiting area and put her half eaten food away until break time.

He placed his palms on my forehead, and it reeked of cigarettes.
I was so disgusted. A patron to a massage place should not have to tell her masseuse he needs to wash his hands. He couldn’t understand me, I sign languaged to the toothless therapist next to me, who then told my therapist something in their language, then he nodded and tried to continue. No! If he’s not washing his hands after a smoke they are probably touching a lot of things, not sanitary.
I called-​in for a two female masseuses, they ended up giving me a male?! The receptionist answered the phone unpleasantly, shouldn’t she be relaxing and calm? She did not get off a personal call when we arrived.
This place used to be our favorite. Where’s Sandy? The old receptionist?
If you like homeless people massaging you by all means.

My first visit was with my husband for a couples massage. We were never introduced to our therapists & our first contact was when we were face down in position for massage. Immediately after the massage both therapists left the room without a word so my husband says «guess were done?» As we’re getting up they re-​enter the room with hot towels to wipe us down which was nice but still no communication. We also had the reflexology with no instruction & after we’re handed a bill holder similar to what you receive at a restaurant but empty & with their names on it as they watch & wait till you tip them. We would have each enjoyed the sauna or steam shower both of which were out of order.
A week later I took my daughter to enjoy a spa day with me & while I had the same therapist by his actions, massage etc I would have sworn I had an entirely different therapist! The massage was bad, he kept kicking something in the room causing loud banging, dribbled cold oil all over me & even less communication this time. Again after the massage we got reflexology & again overall experience for both of us very disappointing. Still I gave him a $ 10 tip, went to the restroom & while trying to leave he stopped us to try to demand a bigger tip! I was very dumbfounded and tempted to take back my $ 10 & leave with no tip I couldn’t believe the nerve! Needless to say they just lost 3 customers as we will never be returning again

I called this place and asked if there was any openings for three people. It was 1:12PM and the next available thing was 3PM. One star for the ability to get me in.
Walked in to this place, and was immediately greeted by a kind receptionist. However, I could hardly hear her. Her soft tone suited very well for a relaxing quiet place, but didn’t work out so much for me, a very deaf person. She was a very good receptionist, keeping us updated about our wait time, why they were running late, and was honest that the room we were getting was small. I didn’t mind, because she felt like she cared. I checked in to this place and got a couple’s body massage for 79.99 for two people. Awesome sauce! My sister, the third wheeler, was disappointed she had to pay $ 45 because she went by herself. Receptionist heard and was like we can give you the $ 40 special. Another star for you!
My first time getting a full body massage. I hate massages and people touching me. I was so nervous. When they told me to strip down to my panties, I was frighten. Good thing my BF was there to calm me down.
My masseur was rough at first and I thought I was dying. However, he asked me if I was doing alright, I asked kindly for him to do it softer, and he did. After that, I was enjoying every minute of it!
