Where do you go when your husband wants new suits and wants to look dapper AF? Mike’s. This guy has been around for decades, in this location. It’s easy to find and he validates parking for as long as you’re there.
My husband ordered four suits here (navy, blue/​gray, light gray and black) and had a mix up on one order. He essentially got a $ 900 suit for $ 250. All together, the four suits (two including vests) cost him around $ 1,000. This ALSO includes the tailoring.
And YES! He does women’s clothing as well!
You can’t get a better price or better service! Forget the chain stores; come to Mike’s!

I went here to have a suit adjusted for a wedding that i had coming up in a few weeks. As others have mentioned, parking here sucks. I had trouble finding the place the first time around so i decided to come back on a different day that was a lot less busy. The place is well put as a suit tailor shop should be. The entrance is filled with some flies though, not sure what’s causing it but they should get that issue fixed ASAP. I picked up my suit shortly after a week and it was just about perfect, i just wish they dry cleaned also because it’d just be more convenient. I’d come back again to have a suit tailored though, they did a great job!

Mike is great, professional and detailed about his work. He is our go to person for years now, and we have been more than satisfied with every piece of garment he had done for us. From suits, shirts to fancy gowns. The location of the store is less than ideal, parking is not always easy, but we have never had any problems.

He is as professional as they come! I’m so glad I decided to come here after reading all the good reviews. Tip, there is a loading and unloading zone on 10^th that you can use for his shop. Fair pricing, especially for his level of tailoring.

The reason why I give it two stars is because I didn’t feel satisfied in the end after everything was said and done. I asked for suit measurements and he only did certain aspects and not the entire figure. Got a suit and his measurements were off and couldn’t get full refund for suit. He has a somewhat heavy accent and even my mom thought so. Both of us were really upset and wouldn’t trust a suit store that’s located in a ghetto part of Sacramento. Ok it’s off K Street but I wouldn’t trust any of downtown due to how bad it makes Oak Park look good.

I went over to Mike’s Tailoring to fix a ripped suit jacket and was quite satisfied with the service, quality of work and turnaround time.
I came in on a weekday afternoon and was greeted promptly once I got to the back of the store (tailoring area). I needed an alteration to a suit jacket (rubbed a hole through the elbow) and I think the wife of the owner helped me.
While a slight language barrier existed (and they spoke another language to talk about my request), she was able to figure out what I wanted done, as it was a little complicated. We had to narrow the sleeves to make the repair, but she was able to measure it so only a slight adjustment was needed for to fix it.
They perfectly fixed my jacket (both sleeves to keep it even) for only like $ 30 or so. It was ready within a week which is better than most alterations in the area. I really appreciated the good customer service, especially upon pickup.

Found this place on Unilocal because I to get an alteration in a hurry. This place performed the service fast and in the time i was promised. The price was very reasonable and they even fixed a slight tear i had for no extra charge. Very happy with the service i received.

After having a bad experience with the place i originally bought my suit at, I was looking for a place to do correct the bad alterations in a very short amount of time.
I went into Mike’s on Thursday. The lady there was very helpful & honest in what needed too be done. Jacket shortened, taken in & sleeves shortened. Slacks shortened & rise shortened.
I told her I needed it in hand by Tuesday the next week. She said we’ll have it ready for you.
Picked up the suit today very surprised how well it looks now. I should have gone here first.

If you need a suit, go talk to Mike. Service is great. He seems to admire classic fashions, but also adapts style to younger and older, different body types, different occasions. And a fantastically nice guy too. Came home with a perfectly fitted, very high quality suit, complete with needed alternations for about $ 300. I didn’t shop around much – he quoted me a competitive price, I found the suits I tried on were sharp and high quality and we called it a day. On top of that, I’m supporting downtown business, and I have a place for all my suit needs that’s only a couple blocks from work. Mike will validate your parking too.
It seems there’s only one negative review on here, and it very oddly repeatedly refers to «them» and doesn’t mention Mike or the business – I’ve never seen or heard of anyone else there besides Mike, so the «them» pronoun seems odd. So – grain of salt with that one.

It seems hard these days to find a good tailor, probably because men just don’t wear suits as often… AS THEY SHOULD!!!
Wear a suit guys… you look better. I feel so sad for the ladies I see dressed to the 9’s, hair and make-​up done, and either they are with guys who couldn’t even take the time to put a hat on straight, or they are single and only have options from a group that are indistinguishable from the homeless.
But I digress… I tried out a few tailors in Sacramento and wasn’t impressed until I got over to Mike’s. I’ve had two suits done by him so far (one he even adjusted while I waited because it came out a bit off, and I needed then). He’s got a third of mine now. His prices are very reasonable, and his work is right on.
I couldn’t be happier.

I got an off-​the-​rack suit tailored here a couple years ago and the fit is amazing– I’ve gotten numerous compliments every time I’ve worn it since. I’ve told friends about this place, and those that took my advice quickly became converts– a friend of mine who is a real estate agent now takes all his suits here to be tailored and won’t go anywhere else. Mike has decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge, and he gives honest advice on any tailoring decisions you’re considering. This place is a midtown treasure.

They did an amazing job on my brother’s suit and a casual jacket.
The suit jacket needed sleeves shortened, and bulk removed from the neck.
Mike was very friendly, we asked him about getting a suit made and he suggested it would be better to buy ready-​made and get fixed. Saved us a lot of money.
Very professional services at great prices.
And bonus, my brother looks extra sharp (and he is overweight)
Just go there and they will work their magic.

I brought my brand new suit here to get some adjustments done last minute. I had a reception to be at and I was looking for a quick turnaround. Mike, I presume the owner of the shop took some quick eyeball measurements which in the end were perfect! The suit was done over the weekend and was finished before the time promised. The quality of the work is perfect. I’ll definitely come again

I went here to get my store-​bought suit tailored. He hemmed the pants, brought in the back of the jacket a bit, and brought up the sleeves. He did a great job and had a short turnaround time. I’d definitely recommend him for any of your suit tailoring needs!

Got a pair of jeans hemmed and tapered and they were ready the next day! Amazing work, really recommend this place!

My grandson asked if I would sew his pocket on his suit pants because they were torn. He needed them by 3:00 the next day. I said «sure». (afterall Grandma’s can do just about anything, right?) Well the next day, to my dismay I relized I couldn’t mend them. It was a very difficult repair. I looked for an alteration business on the internet and found Mike’s Tailoring & Clothing on 923 K Street, Sacramento. I explained to them that I need it super fast. Well, I had the pants within two hours just as promised. They did a really nice job and I couldn’t even tell the pockets had been repaired. Wonderful work, definitely will get my business from now on. Kudos!!!

a) convenient location if you work downtown. be careful, though — blink and you’ll miss the entrance.
b) they were the only tailor i called who guaranteed a 24 hour turnaround on a suit jacket alteration.
c) fast work, great fit, finished ahead of time.
d) would have given 5 stars, but the lady in there is less than friendly. Acted like I was interrupting her day by calling ahead with the request and then actually coming in.
Will definitely be bringing future items in here.

I had taken a pair of jeans with a hole in the back pocket to two other tailors before bringing them here. They both insisted there was no possible way to fix them without compromising them. When I brought them to Mike’s frustrated thinking he would also say no (this was my last attempt!) He laughed and said «No Problem!» When I told him about my other 2 experiences, he joked and said something like «We can fly to the moon but they can’t fix a hole in your pants.» That’s exactly how I felt, the hole was not complicated and I was happy someone could actually fix my pants! He did an amazing job and was very professional and extremely reasonable. I think he charged me like $ 5. One of the other tailors who was going to attempt to fix them told me it would be $ 25 and they would not guarantee that they would even turn out well. I highly recommend!

Have to disagree with the other review. I took a pair of suit pants in here to have them hemmed and cuffed and they did an excellent job. It’s my understanding that Mike makes suits for many elected officials and you can tell he takes pride in his work. My pants were finish ed in one day and done very well. Then again, maybe this is not the place to take your designer jeans. They definitely specialize in tailored clothing.
