Mayhew Deli

Seems like a lil mom n pop place, looks like one and even the owners got it going. Prolly a mom n pop place sitting in the middle of a bunch of office buildings. The guy at the front was to the point, and I got my order in quick. I liked that there was a corner window so a lot of natural sunlight gets into the place. This would be pretty nifty during off hours to have a place to read for a while without any disturbances. It wasn’t crowded at all either though I can imagine that when it is around lunch time there are probably people that tend the frequent here.
The prices are good. I only got breakfast items due to the time of day but for the price margin I couldn’t really argue. They weren’t the greatest but worth the price I had paid for them. I had ordered the breafast burrito and breakfast sammich on wheat since I was sick and this place was close. I didn’t want to travel very far considering the feelings of dizziness. No need to put the general public at risk because of my laziness to cook something myself haha. To get the crust onto the sammich and the burrito a panini press was used. A microwave was also utilized to melt the cheese and bring everything together. Inside both was eggs, spinach, cheese, and mushrooms.
This was just what I was looking for at the time. Nothing extravagant mind you, but I wasn’t hoping for that in the first place. I’m sure if I end up in the same situation again, I will be gracing the doors of this little shop again later.

Bad owner! Couple days ago (the sandwich spot) employees were doing some marketing in Mayhew business park area. The owner of this shop went out of his way to remove all the flyers that sandwich spot left for marketing. bad owner = bad business. Lost customer forever.

Delicious. Everything you could want in a deli. Obviously the go to spot for lunch if you work around here. Definitely worth your time. The «beefer» sandwich is great. Hot roast beef sandwich with sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomatoes. Very impressive, will definitely be back when I’m in the area. The guy who helped us, I assume the owner, was friendly and made me feel comfortable. Yum. I’m glad I ate here.

I work a building away from this deli and I FINALLY tried it out. I picked up a Chicken Cesar Salad and its yummy, definitely better than the McDonald ones I’d been getting at almost the same price. And customer service is great. The man who took my order was really friendly, he spoke about the business and gave me a little bit of history about them :) i’ll be coming back for sure.

This place is right around the corner from job and I come here at least twice a week, they are consistently fast, friendly and delicious. On top of it they are very reasonably priced, I’ve never paid more than $ 6 for a sandwich. I would highly recommend this place!

This deli is very close to my work, and boy oh boy is this place great!
I tried the Monterey Chicken, this was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had, Im excited to go back and try more. I’m putting the Bond Stamp on this sandwich give it a shot :)
The staff is friendly and greets you with warm smiles. Everything is made fresh and in front of you so you see their process from order to you paying for the sandwich at the cashier.
Oh, I’ve also tried the Ghirardelli Latte, you can just taste the chocolate in it. Perfect for a cold rainy day. I will definitely be back here!

Best place to eat near my workplace, by far! Delicious sandwiches, fast and friendly service. I recommend calling ahead of time to skip the ordering line if you know what you’d like.

Friendly people, great food, fresh and flavorful, at prices that would be higher anywhere else. The best breakfast & lunch spot in and around the Rosemont area. Great selection of healthy and not so healthy choices for every taste. Located twenty yards from the Tiber light rail station.

Great little deli that’s a blessing for neighboring businesses and patrons of light-​rail. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and ingredients are always fresh. Service is friendly and the baked good are homemade. I no longer work in the area but I love returning for the pistachio muffins which sell out quickly and the ‘shroom bird with sprouts. The deli is open for breakfast and lunch.

Everything I’ve ordered from here is unbelievably good and great pricing! I highly recommend the garlic chicken sandwich, one of my faves.

I love this place. The staff is friendly. Food is always good. The Santa Barbara is my go to sandwich. I love supporting family businesses too. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Been going here years and the food&service is always excellent. I used to volunteer at the bingo hall next door. The meatloaf sandwich is my favorite.

Mayhew Deli is definitely one of the best little delis in the area. I have yet to have something that wasn’t good. The place is always clean and everyone who works there is super nice.
For breakfast, they have anything from breakfast burritos to muffins (the pistachio muffin is amazing). Coffee is pretty good too. Lunch is the standard fare of sandwiches, salads, and wraps.
If you need to grab a quick tasty bite for a decent price, this is the place.

I like this place. Clean. Decent looking. Staff is superb. Self serve on your sodas. Fast service. I like it. Simple and yummy! My sandwiches I’ve ordered before have been yummy. My chipotle is spicy and I like it! I ordered to go too and the staff/​owner helped me prepare if later so it’s still warm. Super nice and efficient.

Mayhew Deli is by far the best deli in Sacramento! I have been coming hear for a couple years now and never once have I been disappointed. The food is delicious I come all the time for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast I normally order a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with bacon is it amazing, they also have mochas and lattes which are nice with breakfast.
The deli has recently remodeled and added a Panini grill which is awesome, I believe you can make any sandwich a panini.
They can get pretty busy during lunch, it’s normally because everybody has there lunch break at the same time and the deli is in walking distance of most of the local offices. They do accept phone orders if you don’t have much time which is nice.
My favorite sandwich is the Pastrami extravaganza it is to die for! They use the good kind of pastrami too not the fatty kind! The menu has a wide variety of different sandwiches all under $ 6 you can’t beat that!
I was surprised when I saw a few one star reviews so I thought I would voice my opinion.
Be sure to stop by and give them a try you will not regret it!

Just tried this deli for lunch today and I was impressed. I ordered the chicken pesto and it was amazing! Great lunch time spot, I will be back.

My office was right around the corner so I used to frequent this place for breakfast and lunch because it was so close by. Since my office has moved, I have never gone back and I actually still live right down the street…
This place is cool to grab a quick bite or coffee. And by quick bite I mean like buying a bag of chips or a banana because the sandwiches there are pretty terrible. And terrible I mean I rather eat subway.
They use the microwave WAY too much for their food. If you are going to order something, I suggest getting a «cold» sandwich that way it isn’t microwaved. Their deli meat is the quality of oscar meyer and their bread you can buy from any local grocery store. Basically… you can make these sandwiches at home for super cheap and the quality would be the same. Only saving grace is that this place isn’t too expensive, you can get out of there for under $ 5-​$ 6.

The food is soo good and the service great! The staff is so nice and welcoming. I have ventured out and tried different meals and every single one is delicious and has it’s own distinct flavors. So far my favorite sandwich is the chicken pesto hot sandwich. So yummy!
