I got our wedding pictures this week and I am absolutely in love with Liz’s work! The engagement and wedding pictures not only captured all of the significant moments, but also turned out to be of top-​notch quality. Liz was amazing to work with. She is definitely passionate about her work and it shows in the quality of her pictures. She is imaginative, creative, funny and was able to bring calm to the chaos of gathering my BIG family together for a family pic during my wedding. I definitely and highly recommend her!!!

To those who are getting married, your hunt for a wedding photographer has finally come to an end!!! — aren’t you so happy!
My husband and I pride ourselves on the research we did during the planning process of our wedding, but we are even prouder of the results we got. We knew from the first time we met Liz, that we would leave a review for her. Not simply because of her wonderful personality or her helpful knowledge about planning a wedding, or even her many talents– one of course being Photography. We knew we would leave her a review because how she utilizes her talents.
From the moment we reached out to Liz, to the most recent goodbye at our wedding, she has been such a positive force. She was EXTREMELY easy to talk to and some how already knew the direction we wanted to go with for our wedding day, and even our engagement shoot. At first, it seemed a little scary to us to sign a contract with someone we never met in person. But the moment we all got to know each other, that thought quickly left our minds.
Liz Zimbelman is so fully of energy– ALL THE TIME! and so are her photos. She’s has this amazing ability to not only capture moments perfectly, but she allows the couple to feel the photo again and again even after the party stops. (=
People often told us that things were going to go wrong on our wedding day, and boy did they. But we had Liz, our secret weapon. She was not only a photographer, she was a calming voice when we needed one.
I know a little about photography to get by and maybe even do it as a hobby, so picking a photographer who was fair in pricing, but extremely talented was difficult to find. To be honest, it was beginning to seem almost impossible. But then we found Liz, and the moment we saw her portfolio, we knew our countless days searching for the RIGHT photographer to capture the feelings of our special day had finally come to an end.
If you don’t choose Liz as your photographer, you really are making a HUGE mistake. From her bubbly personality to her jaw dropping photo taking abilities, she IS ABSOLUTELY THE person you want capturing your special day.

As a wedding coordinator, it’s vital to spark a good relationship immediately with another vendor so that we can work in harmony for hours on the day-​of. That was simply EASY with Liz when we partnered for a 9÷3÷15 wedding in Clarksburg. Liz’s dazzling smile and fun personality made my job so easy. Her and her 2^nd shooter never conveyed anything less than positivity and professionalism, always nearby so we can be in good communication with the timeline.
Coming from a vendor, Liz is outstanding to work with, has a great eye on angles, approachable and is just a GEM. I hope to cross paths with her again b/​c it’s rare to find a photographer as awesome as her! Congrats on a job well done Liz! :)

We absolutely love our engagement and wedding photos. Liz has such a great eye for perspective, lighting, and composition. Her style has an artistic element or flair that you don’t see in your standard wedding photos. That is why we hired her and we are very happy that our photos reflect the same. I will definitely be referring Liz to everyone I know and I hope we have an opportunity to work with her in the future!

My wife and I were referred to Liz by a mutual friend. At the first meeting. We knew after the first meeting that we wanted her to do our engagement photos. Our engagement photos were stunning, and till this day we have friends raving about them.
We liked her so much that we also hired her to be our wedding photographer. Liz did an amazing job, and made the day special for the both of us. She made sure to catch even the smallest details throughout the day. Most importantly she made us feel at ease.
Her fees were very reasonable, well within our budget. Remember everyone has a different wedding budget.
We will defiantly be using her again for potential maternity photographs!

I have to admit this review was in my «to be completed» file because I wanted to give a real true review of my overall experience with Liz.
I found Liz through facebook. She took engagement photos of a friend of mine and I was awe struck with her lighting techniques. After getting all her information and checking out all her other engagement photos I knew she was the one. Her prices are VERY fair if not better in comparison to all the other bay area photographers and I was fortunate to have her respond to my inquiries within hours of me sending her my initial e-​mail.
We booked her for our engagement:
First of all, I must second everyone else’ testimonial that Liz has this great personality. The morning of my husband’s engagement shot he and I got into a nasty argument on our way to our locations (Bay Area). We did arrive late but Liz was perfectly professional and great to work with. Her high spirits brought us out of our slums and our pictures came out great!
Wedding:
Our wedding was on April 19, 2015 at The Brazilian Room at Tilden Park, Berkeley, CA. We went with a package that included other photographers and a good four hour block. The morning of the wedding was chaotic since I decided to do «First Look» before the wedding (Which was the best idea to do) and people were arriving super early for the ceremony. My vale kept falling out but Liz’s team worked wonders with keeping the vale intact during the photos, keeping me calm throughout the photo shoot, and using the «Jump and run» technique to have a breeze effect in my cathedral vale. :)
Before the wedding I was nearly at a loss with figuring out a plan, seating chart, and issues in general (multicultural wedding) and Liz was there with the most amazing and truthful advice that I don’t think any of my other venders could provide. And for this I’m forever thankful of Liz.
Liz and her team are amazing. All the photos came out wonderful and I couldn’t be any happier with everything. The quality of all the photos came out amazing and I couldn’t get passed how well her team worked together. Their team work shined all throughout the wedding.
I feel so bad that one of my family members said something so stupid and outta line towards Liz but I’m so thankful that she approached me about it and it seemed like she dealt with the issue in a very professional way. The idea of what happened was so embarrassing.
I just received the photos of our wedding today and I’m so happy that I choose Liz in the long run. While shopping for wedding photographers I was so overwhelmed. It’s so easy to talk to Liz, her personality shines through, and you can tell she loves what she does. You can only find so many people out there that have that characteristic.
I recommend Liz without even thinking twice. From engagement photos, wedding photos, to anything else you can think of… She’s great.

We had the pleasure of working with Liz again for our wedding October 11, 2014 and again, we did not regret it! She is truly a talented photographer who takes so much care and pride in her work. Also, it doesn’t hurt that she is like a long lost bestie when you get to meet up with her. I miss getting to see her now that the wedding is over lol! My husband and I were researching bay area photographers on Google and Liz was by far our number one choice. Her use of natural lighting and overall style of photography fit what we were looking for. My husband and I met with her at a coffee shop and hit it off – she was talented, professional, direct and, as a bonus, HILARIOUS! Liz’s eye for great lighting and scenery and her unfaltering determination to get the perfect shot is evident in her work and she is no doubt a pleasure to work with. My husband and I were completely at ease for both our engagement and wedding photo sessions and could not be happier about booking Liz to cover the most important moment of our lives thus far. Liz is just amazing!
When I first got engaged, Feb 2013, my first thought was that I must find an amazing photographer. I happened to find Liz through Facebook and fell in love with her style of photography. We met up a week later and I knew right away this was the photographer I wanted. I told her at the meeting that I believed the most important money I will spend at my wedding is on a photographer because photographs will last and be seen for years and years to come. I was not let down on my decision to hire her. Our wedding and engagement photos turned out AMAZING!!! Liz was fun, kind, and willing to crawl over fences (even at 7 months pregnant) to get the best shot possible! Everyone one of my bridesmaids raved about how great she was to work with. I was blown away by the pictures; I couldn’t have asked for anything more! I will be recommending her to all my friends who will hopefully soon be engaged!

Liz is such a down to earth person and pleasure to work with. She definitely has the eyes of an awesome photographer and can capture the most beautiful pictures. She knows where to position you and helps you along the way as she did during my engagement session. I trust her in how knowledgeable she is in her skills and being able to capture the right lighting. Her sunset photos are amazing, total love! Simply put, Liz Zimbelman is amazing. I am a single, working mom of two boys ages 5 and 7. I had always wanted to take professional family portraits but wanted to do my research first.
In this digital age of Facebook, Instagram and other social medias, there are many people that I personally know who have taken up photography. I love to support my friends and their family-​owned businesses but wanted to select the best photographer with fair rates.
After perusing the works of various photographers, the opportunity came up when Liz advertised a Holiday Special for Facebook friends and family. I booked a half hour session for an extremely affordable $ 100 with 15 images on a disc, holiday cards, and 8×10.
During the photoshoot, Liz was very relaxed and calm with my energetic and rambunctious boys. I felt that she was able to capture those candid moments of love and even silliness between a mother and her children. The previews that she posted on my Facebook page generated more than 80 likes from friends. Liz truly has a creative eye for photographing the moments we will treasure years from now. Her pictures speak for themselves.

Liz did our Maternity Pictures and even though at the first time I wasn’t feeling it (call it pregnancy hormones), she was a sweatheart and rescheduled the session. The second time, we had a lot of fun together and guess what, the first session we did turned out wonderful and the pictures really surprised me! I guess she makes miracles happen and I’m so glad for that!
