A great Party. Great host. Food was GREAT! the drinks were OFF THE HOOK. Great FREE goodies! I was floating in Heaven!

WoW! I think i am still recovering from last nights event. Chevys knows how to party. Best Elite event i have been to so far. Gorgeous views of the American river, Great food, drinks and people. This was a very lively event. The Chevys staff was great, best service and let me say again, great drinks. Thanks Alex and Christina for planning such a great event!

Fun event. Chevy’s throws a killer party. Who knew?
We were greeted by booze promo girls in tight dresses handing out schwag. Tasty apps and free booze options were raining from the sky. People doing good things in the community were recognized. Crazy gift bags. Total VIP status. It could have only gone better if I got to run la maquina
for a bit.

I really felt like a VIP at Chevy’s on the River. From valet to check in to waitresses checking in every 5 minutes or so, was great.
I especially liked the Mexican Bulldogs– an upside down bottle of Corona in a margarita glass. Now that’s bang for your buck. All the new Fresca food items were super tasty. There was an assortment of chicken, seafood and beef. The chicken on a skewer was a bit dry and that’s the only complaint I have. The beef and seafood items more than made up for this. The shrimp quesadilla was my fave. You could tell the Fresca items were craft-​fully prepared and not deep fried or sitting out under a heat lamp waiting to go out. The new Fresca menu is a great change and I’m excited to hit up another Chevy’s soon. They’ll be offering Cinco de «every month» from now on, which is great, with food and drink specials all day long.
Overall, the Fresca event was tasteful, fun and tasty! Viva Chevy’s!

Wasn’t planning to attend this event but I did anyways and I’m glad I did! I came a few minutes before it started, which was good since we got dibs on a table. Right when me and my friend pulled in, we were greeted by the valet guys and took care of our car. We came in the restaurant and were greeted by more friendly staff and I was given a badge with my name on it and my +1 got a nifty pin that says VIP and such. We were then greeted by the Corona girls, who showered us with beads and little keychains and then by the restaurant management and the bartenders who all persuaded us to get the Mexican bulldog and it is definitely a must try! We sat down and samples started heading our way and more people were coming in. There was plenty of samples to go around and I was so stuffed and buzzed after my first margarita, I didn’t even get to try the other drinks and I was about to fall in a food coma! Me and my friend liked the shrimp and crab flautas the most, and the jalapeño jelly that was used to top it off and to the taquitos were fantastic! The steak kabobs were the best, great marinade and the chicken was good as well, with a spicy kick to it. The apple quesadilla was interesting, with the taste of the combo of cheese and apples together was quite exquisite. The recognition program finally started and rounds of applause and cheers filled the restaurant, which made me feel really honored to attend such a special event to commemorate those who have contributed to the community for local youths. The restaurant management was very nice, each one of them stopped by our table to make sure we were doing okay and suggesting us to eat and drink more of their specialties and had the servers bring us more margaritas. Servers were really attentive and very sweet as well. We left early and was then given a sombero and a goody bag filled with complimentary vouchers, margarita glass, poster, avocados and free chips and salsa every month for a year. Had a blast! Thank you Chevy’s for the extended invite to this awesome event!

My +1 and I left saying much the same thing: Chevy’s is my favvooorriittee!
I arrived to this event a little bit later so I missed out on the VIP parking and some of the earlier food but when I did arrive, they still made me feel like VIP. I was greeted warmly and given my badge that identified me as a Unilocal Elite and then quickly offered beverages by the Corona girls. Oh, you clearly know me well Chevys.
Even though we were late, we were still able to grab a table and the entire staff was completely kind and accommodating. We got to sample plenty of food including the shrimp quesadillas, the grilled meat and the grilled shrimp and all of it was SO good. Everyone that passed by made sure my glass never had a chance to even make it to half empty and the staff was even kind enough to accommodate my request for flan.
Chevy’s, are are a class act! I can’t WAIT to return to this location.

What did I do after this event ended? I moved on to another Unilocal event and rave to everyone there about everything they missed at the Livin’ La Vida Fresca VIP Fiesta!
It wasn’t hard to see that the Chevy’s management and staff put a lot of time and hard work into planning this event. The party started from the time you entered the parking lot with free valet parking. If that’s not something to get excited about then I’m not sure what else could be more exciting out there (besides the Chevy’s truck that arrived later). As I entered the venue I was greeted, checked-​in and graced with beads, bottle openers and key chains. Earlier in the evening there was a Mariachi band performing before the DJ took over and kept the crowd moving all night. Food and drinks were rotating throughout the dining room all night. My boyfriend and I managed to get a table right next to the kitchen so we got first dibs on almost everything that came out. I really enjoyed the steak and shrimp skewers. The steak had a really tasty marinade and was tender and juicy. The chicken was also good but a little dry. The chicken taquitos, Napa Valley quesadilla, ceviche and guac were all really fresh and good but my favorite of all were the shrimp and crab flautas. Those things were fabulous! I will definitely be ordering some of those the next time I return (with my complementary return card)!
After many recommendations from the Corona girls I tried the «Strawberry Bulldog Margarita» with the inverted Corona bottle. To my surprise I really liked it. I don’t like tequila and usually pass on margaritas but this is one must have margarita. A little after the awards and recognition ceremony it was time to move on. On our way out we were given swag bags filled with all kinds of fiesta goodies– a corona t-​shirt, margarita glass, avocados, key chains, and cards to return for one complementary meal and chips and salsa for a year! We will be back for sure and thanks to Chevy’s for inviting us!

Nothing like puffing my chest out as a Unilocal Elite at an event like this with other businesses there. I’m glad to see management at Chevy’s realizing a change was needed with their food. This location really is fantastic being on the river, but the food was going downhill. The new Fresca items will hopefully get them back on track and the idea of Cinco de every month events will be a nice change.
Greeted at the door by smiling staff and smiling Corona girls. Would you like a Corona keychain that you will probably throw away when you are cleaning all the clutter in your house? YES! Would you like a different one? YES! How about another one? YES! Beads? YESSSS!
Drinks of the night were different margaritas, and of course the Bulldog. It was a margarita glass filled to the brim with a 7 oz Corona bottle typed over inside. Sounds weird, but it was DE-​LIC-​IOUS and it just looked cool! Staff brought out trays of the new items what seemed like every 2 minutes. Skewers of every grilled meat you can think of were protruding out of a pineapple which looked cool, but difficult to pull out (insert tasteless joke), chicken taquitos with a jalapeño jelly, ceviche (looked good, but didn’t taste fresh), and AMAZING crab and shrimp flautas. We were getting so full so quickly, that I felt bad turning them down!
People were recognized for their community service, and then we were on our way. But not before we were given a party bag that had a t-​shirt (mine was lacking, but whatever), a coupon for a free Chevy’s meal, a stamp card for free chips and salsa every month, a margarita glass (just like the bulldog), and two avocados for your own guac. Very nice event, indeed!

I was fortunate enough to be invited to this VIP event at Chevy’s. First off, congratulations to the recipients of the Silver Sombrero, way to give to the community! Chevy’s did a fantastic job on making this event festive, the minute you entered the door you were greeted with Margaritas, tequila, beer, steak skewers, guacamole shots, ceviche, quesadillas and shrimp skewers. The event introduced some new menu items that Chevy’s has created, they actually had the lead chef out front preparing food. The drinks were flowing, the food was never ending and the DJ has some great music playing. Thank you Chevy’s for allowing me to be a part of this event!

Chevy’s on the River knows how to throw a fiesta!!!
From the complimentary valet service, to the stellar customer service… from the over-​abundance of complimentary food and alcohol, to the free swag bag and goodies, Chevy’s and their staff hooked it up and truly made me feel like a Very Important Person.
If the selection of appetizers and drinks weren’t enough to impress, it was the outstanding staff (managers, servers, bartenders, Corona girls, bussers, hostesses) that made this event 5 stars. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, accomodating, and fun! It was a great place to network with some community members who were honored for their work with youths. They received a «Silver Sombrero» award, a year’s worth of Chevy’s, and $ 1000 to go back towards their local group they work with. That’s awesome. Good job, Chevy’s!!!
The food was off the hook! My favorites were the melt-​in-​your-​mouth steak skewers, the fresh-​made guacamole in the mini tortilla chip cones, shrimp and crab flautas, and the ceviche. Overall, everything was delicious. And the killer part of it was they kept bringing it out, and bringing it out, and bringing more out! Unbelievable.
The drinks were the same way. They were promoting the Mexican Bulldog (which I’ve deemed as my new favorite drink), a 7 ounce Corona bottle inverted into a margarita. They also had a pomegranate paloma which was a strong and refreshing cocktail made with tequila, squirt, and pomegranate juice. They also had an ice sculpture where they poured a shot of El Jimador tequila into the top and it came out at the bottom, slightly chilled into a shot glass. Yes, it was quite the party!

This was a really random and a really fun event! I got a last minute invite as a plus one and I wasn’t sure what to expect — I am so glad that I was able to come!
There was ample food — chicken, steak, crab and shrimp flauta things, more shrimp… It was all pretty good too. There were also several different types of beverages. I did not imbibe, but I enjoyed seeing the tiny bottles of Corona in the margaritas.
The staff made us feel very welcome. They also had great gift bags for all the attendees. What a fun way to spend a Wednesday evening!

The event was to introduce the new Chevy’s. It was also held to recognize six Sacramentans who are making a difference in the lives of local youth with Silver Sombrero awards. It’s not a Unilocal Elite Event, but I was only able to attend because I’m an elite!
I certainly felt like a VIP the moment I walked in. At the entrance, I was checked in and given a lanyard with my name and affiliation– Unilocal!Elite. The fiesta was already in full swing. There were plenty of people having a good time enjoying their food and drinks.
I soon spotted the Mexican Bulldog and was intrigued. I definitely knew I wanted to try it. The Mexican Bulldog is a Coronita (mini Corona) placed upside down in a margarita. I tried the strawberry and the mango flavored margarita. The strawberry one was a winner! I would order it again the next time I’m at a Chevy’s. Another drink they had was the Red Paloma. It was a pretty pink, so I decided to try it. It was too strong for me. I was being too ambitious because I barely drank it.
Corona girls chatted up guests and handed out promotional items– a bead necklace, bottle openers, and key chains. I tried to make sure I got one of everything they had!
My friend and I were continuously approached by the friendly staff that had a variety of appetizers for us to try. Food offerings included Chicken Taquitos, Taste of Napa Valley Quesadilla (Brie and Jack cheeses!), Skewers (steak– my favorite of the three, chicken, and shrimp), Shrimp and Crab Flautas, Ceviche, and Fresh Guac-​My-​Way.
Everyone was happy to help get you what you needed. My friend asked one of the servers if they had any more chicken skewers and the server said that she’d check and send them our way if there was any. We didn’t think we’d see her again, but a while later she came back with chicken skewers in hand. Exceptional service!
At the end of the night guests received a sombrero and a goody bag courtesy of Chevy’s. I nabbed a bag that had a Corona t-​shirt– not all of the bags had one. Inside the bag I found a gift certificate for a complimentary meal, a margarita glass, a certificate for a pound of chips and a pint of salsa for a year, avocados, and a Chevy’s poster.
I walked away as one happy camper with all my swag. I was literally glowing with happiness. Thanks for a great time!

I had the privilege to attend a special event here at Chevy’s on the River called Livin’ La Vida Fresca VIP Fiesta. Upon entering, the restaurant was fully decorated in theme, and had a ton of staff working the event. I received a ton of giveaways such as corona bottle openers, beads, margarita glasses, vouchers, etc. Cocktail waiter/​watresses were walking around handing out margaritas and shots. As well as different appetizers. I loved the shrimp and steak kabobs, the quesadillas, taquitos, and the guac shots. I had an awesome time and thankful to be a part of an amazing event. Thanks Chevy’s and Unilocal for the invite!

Sometimes shakin’ things up is a good thing. Thanks to a collab by Unilocal & Chevy’s, they made an amazing hybrid event.
I kind of feel bad, because the main reason for this event was somewhat lost on me. I think Chevy’s was honoring people who do good things for our young athletes in the greater Sacramento region. My sombrero is off to you… thanks for doing what you do… so I can get free food && booze :)
With that said… man, does every Unilocal event have an endless amount of food and booze flowing? I’m so not used to it, give me a break… its only my second elite event. At first I’m always timid, but after about 10 servers giving me apps, I just go for it and take a few at a time. Unilocal literally is Fat Kid heaven.
An added benefit to this event was that we got to try all NEW things, which aren’t even on their menu yet. Now I call that VIP status. The skewers were tasty: Shrimp was my favorite, Chicken was spicy (I almost cried), and I couldn’t eat the steak (lent) but Krystle R. said she wouldn’t brag how good they were cause I couldn’t eat them… proof in the puddin’. The Shrimp & Crab flauta were
…so good, I wanted the server to just put the platter down at our table. The guac was good; I loved the way they served it in mini, red tortilla cones… adorable :) The ceviche was interesting, good flavor… slightly tangy, but you get whole shrimps. Another fave of mine was the Chicken Quesadilla. It had apples in it, I loved it… but a few were hesitant… I’m all about it.
The pomegranate paloma was tasty, cute it color too. But they kept talking about the Mad Dog, but I don’t really like Corona, so I kept passing on it. But thanks to Patrick Y. we ordered one… AND boy am I glad we did, it was soo good. I’m pretty sure I preferred the strawberry margarita part to the corona, but it added a hint of flavor. As it got to the bottom I gave up, it tasted too much like beer. The Corona is actually a coronita… which is soo dang cute!
I love free stuff, just as much as the next person, but the swag bag was an added bonus after I left the premises. A (somewhat) authentic margarita glass, two avocados, free pound of tortillas & pint of salsa per month for a year, a comp’d meal, hot sauce, and a poster… Krystle R. also got a Corona t-shirt…lucky girl. The Corona girls were also giving away all kinds of trinket and trash… various key chains, necklaces, etc.
Oh yeah, and if you’ve ever been here you know the parking SUCKS… but again, they had that covered. Complimentary valet for everyone… that’s worth it in itself! The staff here came stacked, they were all on point and so helpful. Always trying to shove more food or booze down our throats, by no means was this a bad thing!
Although this wasn’t a solely sanctioned YEE, it still upheld the same awesomeness of YEE standards. Although the mingling was limited, everything we ate, drank, and took home made us smile.
If you aren’t convinced to become Unilocal Elite after this, then YOUR BAD ;)

In the words of the great Carl, this event was FREAKIN’ AWESOME!!!
Free flowing drinks (and our intro to the «Mexican Mad Dog»), tray after tray of delicious foods (the steak skewers and shrimp taquitos were our favorites!), and the super friendly staff made this event ROCK! We spent some time talking with manager Travis, who was very friendly and told us of some exciting things to come, both on the menu as well as the business in general. The waitstaff were super attentive and working their collective butts off (shout out to the amazing Maggie!!).
We had an awesome time, and then we got into the car (after the FREE valet service!), and opened our «goodie bags:» WHAAAATT!!! A margarita glass, avocados, coupon for chips and salsa for a year, and a voucher for a free meal? Amazing! We were already looking forward to our next visit to their gorgeous riverside patio, and now we’re planning frequent trips! Chevy’s and their staff have earned some new regulars!
