History

Established in 1981.

In 1981 we were robbed. It was a horrible and invasive experience. In the middle of the day, with a big dog in our back yard, we nevertheless became victims of thieves who stole jewelry, ripped open wrapped Christmas gifts under our tree and took irreplaceable memories with the items they stole. Our sense of security was shattered and we knew we wanted an alarm system.

I (Ron) bought some parts and enjoyed installing them myself. I soon offered the same service and increased sense of security to my extended family and close friends. Liberty Bell Alarm, Inc. has been in business since 1981 and we continue to offer our services to individuals, families and businesses.

Because of what we have been through, we understand the desire for our homes to be a castle and refuge from the busy world we live in. Enjoying a sporting event or movie on a home theater system is a wonderful experience and more peaceful knowing our homes are secured by a monitored alarm system.

We are a family owned business, with plans to continue into the next generation of Buzzards. My wife (Joan), who is also working as a marriage and family therapist, has worked along side me over the years in accounting and administration.

Our youngest son (Mark) has worked in various aspects of the business over the years and now works full time in management and sales. He plans to carry on the heritage of Liberty Bell Alarm & Home Theater, Inc. for years to come.

As a team, we are dedicated and committed to providing an excellence in service and products to individuals, families and businesses in our area.

As I stated, we stopped using the Libery Bell Alarm system a long time ago. As I also stated, the screeching «chime» noise, and the blazing light on the alarm (which their employees already told us COULD NOT be reduced) were beyond obnoxious! On to a new and better system– this time with a professional alarm company!
And yes, we had Bay Alarm for over twenty years, I also clearly stated that in my review. I am baffled as to why the current owner is questioning me about all of these items. I clearly addressed all of these in my original review.

Disgusted with the customer service and their attitudes. If you can’t tell me that my phone line is not active how can I trust you with monitoring my home and my family? Why would you collect monitoring fees when you are not monitoring me, then threaten me with collections? This company is terrible and I wouldn’t trust them with alarming my dog house. Disrespectful, condescending, rude, and dishonest.

LBA wired up my house via the builder and installed my alarm, sound and Control4 system and I was really happy with their work and post installation support. They were on time, clean and quick when intalling. And Mark has always been really responsive when I have questions or additional needs. I’d recommend them to anyone who’s considering an alarm system, TV and sound or home automation.

We had Liberty Bell install an Alarm in Jan/​Feb 2010 after our home was burglarized. The crime scene investigator for Sac Co Sheriff’s dept recommended them and reported that he has always had them for his own private use so we figured if its good enough for the professional then it is good enough for us. We also like to support local companies over big corporations. We have had no complaints about our service. Any time it is set of (usually our animals, we accidentally open the back door without turning it off first or not sure what when we are not home) we get a call right away to either tell them that its a false alarm or to send police. They call 24 hours a day to check and it really gives us a peace of mind. If you’ve ever had someone break into your home, you know how violating that feels and this has helped us feel a lot better. I would highly recommend them!

Their Alarm Service works fine.
I also had them pre-​wire my house for home audio speakers but I might as well have saved the money and done it myself.
1. They use small gauged wire… too small. 14 gauge to be exact.
2. There’s no rhyme or reason to how the wires run.
3. All the wires are stapled so far up that its hard (impossible in some cases) to reach the wire through the hole in the ceiling that you will have to get up in the crawl space anyways.
4. They’ve stapled through the coax cable for the sub in a spot that I can’t reach causing it to short out.
I’ll probably end up doing a full re-​wire to a better gauge wire and to fix the coax problem.
Moral of the story? Go ahead and use the alarm service, but stay away from the home theater pre-​wire.

I asked friends for referrals when I needed to have my unused alarm system checked out. ADT was terrible on the phone, total sales pressure so I didn’t have them come out. A friend recommended Liberty Bell because she has worked with them. Turns out they were the original company that installed the alarm in our Cresleigh home. The technician, Nate, was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. He got my alarm up and running with a new battery and a few other things that were needed. In all the call was $ 105.00 Well worth it to have a working alarm and a company that I could trust. He never tried to upsell monthly monitoring either. I will recommend them highly to everyone.

I recently had John, from Liberty Bell Alarm, come out and fix our NAPCO alarm system. He was efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and did not try to sell me something I did not need. When I first called this business, they answered the phone with someone who could schedule a technician to come out the following day (not an answering service like so many I called before who could only take my name & number). I really appreciate a company who clearly focuses on customer service as their number 1 priority. The cost of the repair was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this vendor to my friends and certainly will give them my business in the future.

my house is pre-​wired by them. 6 years ago i disconnected the monitoring because they raised my price ridiculously after the initial contract, and because they charged me $ 65/​hour for coming out to fix a window monitor, so i bailed. I called them again recently to ask for a quote to reinstate monitoring and upgrade the equipment. Almost $ 400 for a 3 year contract and $ 37 for monthly cellular — reasonable? NOPE… But maybe if I get a returning customer perk– an additional control pad to be precise. They told me «we do not give away our equipment.» Well, I decided not giving them my business either.

These guys know what their doing for home theater installs. I had two other people come out out and they could not fix the problem and told me there was nothing they could do. Bell came out and found the problem by putting some effort into it, fixed it and just charged the regular home call price, which was a great deal. I have several more projects I need done and will definitly be calling these guys out.

Anytime I have an issue with my home system, they take care of it, no problem. Sometimes there is mis-​communication with billing, but it all gets sorted out in the end.

Liberty Bell Alarm is a family owned operation. I had them install my alarm system. Added exterior speakers. Then added additional interior speakers. When speakers were installed I purchased an amplifier to drive speakers. Then had them install wireless monitoring system and monitor alarm. I found them to be fair, easy to deal with and dependable.

We hired Liberty Bell Alarm to install a Control4 Home Automation System. We wanted an integrated system consisting of burglar alarm, security cameras, automated door locks, audio/​video distribution (multiple HD sources to all rooms of the house in a matrix application), whole house audio, pool and spa control, HVAC and lighting control. Such a complicated system required them to access every part of our home, outside, inside, attics, and garage. The result was a system that handles all of the goals we set and is easily operated. This was a complicated process, and we felt as if the Liberty Bell Alarm team became members of our family. Each worker treated our home as if it was theirs. Great care was taken of our new wood floors and rooms were left at least as clean as they were before work started. Generally speaking, having your home taken over by workers, is not something homeowners enjoy. Well, this team of knowledgeable men was a joy to work with. Not only was our home cared for, but each of them was able to communicate clear instructions to both me (an engineering audio/​video junkie) and my wife (the I just want music to come out of the speakers type) with ease. My wife and I highly recommend Liberty Bell Alarm. For knowledge of a highly technical product, for the highly trained team of professionals that work in your home, for follow-​up on the use of your product, for the pride they take in a job well done, I don’t feel you could do better than Liberty Bell Alarm.

We bought a Elliot home in the Empire Ranch Folsom area about 6 years ago. I can’t say I was extremely happy with Elliot Homes but the one good thing they did was partner up with Liberty Bell Alarms/​Home Theater. We bought the Alarm System when buying the house but years later we called them to put in the Surround Sound System also. Very professional and knowledgable. My husband and I got some great tips and the guys were so friendly. Mark even helped me out with a fundraiser for my children’s school. Now that’s what I call customer service. Our Bonus room is our next big job and I know who we will be calling. There is something to be said for family run businesses… Customer Service is always their first priority.

Quality workmanship, products, and great customer service! Never thought I would have a home automation system in my house until Liberty Bell introduced me to Control4 (budget friendly, customizable and easily upgradeable to newest products). When the project was completed I was amazed at the capablities of Control4. completely blown away! Mark and his crew are top notch and I recommend them to anyone looking for home electronics, home theater, automation, alarm systems and even centralized vacuums (which they installed as well). Can’t wait to do more upgrades to my Control4 system and you know who I’ll be calling!

The customer service is top of the line. If you need someone to check out your current system, LBA is the company to call. Their techs are friendly, clean, and someone you are not afraid to let into your home. PLUS they really know their stuff. We feel much safer since we had Liberty Bell install a home security system.
Oh — and they have stellar home theater products too!

Great customer service! I had been shopping for a new TV for over 9 months, but couldn’t find the one that was right for me. I have been to the bigger stores and some of the smaller specialty shops, but found what I was looking for at Liberty Bell. Their knowledgeable sales staff helped me select the TV that was right for me and my family. I like to play video games, my wife watches TV and my daughter has her movies. The sales staff was knowledgably enough to ask the right questions so we could determine which TV that was the right type, size, and price for me. Setting up my new TV was simple, I did nothing and they did everything. In the end I have my new LED TV that looks great!
Liberty Bell also offers home automation which sounded really cool. Their staff has a real passion for the business and was able to explain home automation and what it is exactly. I wouldn’t do it justice to explain the specifics of home automation, but the process sounded easy.
