I went to Sacramento for a weekend and fell in love with this old fashion ice cream parlor. Friday night we stopped by and i tried just one scoop of there strawberry ice cream and we had to come back the next day. The ice cream was soooo good. It had a fresh home made taste. The second time around we ordered the rasberry fudge sundae… it was a little too sweet but still good. There banana splits are enormous and taste as good as it looks. The desserts are enough to feed 2 – 3 people. Too bad they don’t have any Leatherby’s in the San Fernando Valley… just a bunch of boring frozen yogurt places on every corner.

This place was on my list from almost 2 yrs, though i stay in Folsom never got chance to go to this place and today finally made the trip. The location can be easily seen from the road so you shouldnt be missing it: :). Though we went for the just ice-cream we planned to have some extra snacks also. We had the Dinner salad and minestroni soup, both were really fresh and i was impressed by the taste. the bucket of fries were also freshly made and yummy. Then came the ice-cream part… yummy it was really tasty, rich, smooth and not so heavy that is the best part. we got the family sunday which had vanilla, chocolate and strawberry with cream… syrup. yummm…so if you are around this place do check out the various flavours.
