From the initial phone consultation, I knew that Mr. Barzaga was sympathetic to my plight and acknowledged that fighting moving violations in the strict Sacramento Traffic Court system was not guaranteed a win. Regardless, he was willing to take my case that involved possibly long wait-​times to see the judge, and multiple return visits to the court if the court date was extended. I did not need to present at any of the court dates, but Mr. Barzaga was there representing me and saved me a lot of time from driving to & from the Bay Area AND being the person waiting at the court house to be seen by the judge.
(I initially attempted to contact another lawyer, highly recommended on Unilocal,but after a month-​long attempt of leaving messages at his firm and on his cell, I gave up because my calls were not being returned! A red flag of possible lack of dedication towards winning my case. Just because a lawyer has a lot of positive reviews, doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll give you all that you need to win.)
Mr. Barzaga is quite familiar with the attitudes and behaviors of the Sacrament Court judges, and is willing to strike down an unreasonable judge so that another (hopefully more lenient) judge will see the case. Mr. Barzaga was successful in pleading my case and winning because he has a stash of legal tactics he’ll use in court when necessary.
