Byron I. Roope represents individuals in all criminal and traffic matters. From the time he was young, Byron knew that he wanted to be an attorney. He comes from a family of attorneys and always desired to follow in the same path. As an undergraduate at Utah State University, he majored in Law and Constitutional Studies, focusing on courses that would give him a solid foundation in the law. Following his graduation from Utah State, he attended McGeorge School of Law.

Before opening his own law practice, Byron worked as an attorney for the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. Over a two year period, he handled thousands of cases, gaining valuable insight into exactly what it takes for a case to be charged and brought to trial. Now having handled thousands of cases as a Defense Attorney he is committed to protecting your rights and getting you the very best possible outcome.

I recently was arrested and charged with a dui. I was parked at a fast food restaurant when a few officers approached me and said that «my vehicle matched the description of someone who did something across the street. I have passed thru that city many times on the way from sac to Fresno, but never stopped there before, and I kno whoever they were supposively searching for it wasn’t me. Well I blow a 0.0 but was recently prescribed a small amount of pain medication from my dentist, and also use medical mmj on a regular basis. So they take me to Sacramento. Hold me over night for no reason other than suspecting I was under influence of something, (no blood results for weeks after incident) they didn’t even tell me what. It was late at night and I was tired driving and didn’t want to risk my life or others so I pulled over, and was harrassed n taken to jail 45 min from my car, which I had to beg a taxi driver in sac to trust I wasn’t gonna scam him n give me a ride to my car where my wallet was. So it was such bullshit. Luckily I found mr Roope, and he was able to get this cleared up without me having to even appear in court. I am in the middle of a million things n life n really don’t have time to go to any of the bs that comes with duo like classes n other expenses that I can’t afford on top of my bills and trying to take care of my kids. I highly recommend that if u find yourself in a similar situation that you go ahead and hire him, bc he gets results

Unfortunately, I was arrested for a DUI. I felt ruined. I hired a high profile attorney but they ignored my case in various ways and I absolutely suffered because of it. They communicated nothing to me. And finally, as we were about to go to court (for the 2nd time because of inexcusable circumstances on my lawyers part) my feelings about their success on my behalf were shaky and anxious. Because I don’t live in the area where I was arrested, I couldn’t be present or monitor anything, and I actually doubted that my lawyer would even show up. So, working in and for my best interest, I fired them and hired Byron Roope. And it was night and day.
He took over immediately, went to court and bumped the other attorney, and got me a better deal than the other lawyer had originally arranged. The damage to me was minimized. Best of all, however, was the communication. He explained everything in ways that I could understand and was always a text, call, or email away. I actually felt represented. He was awesome. So, if somehow you come to find yourself in a mess like I did, whatever it may be, and you need a lawyer to deflect the punishments aimed at you by the court, call Byron. He was able to deliver the results that i desired, as discussed during the moment of time when i retained him as a attorney. I won’t go down the list of what happened exactly in my case because that is personal as far as I am concerned. However, what I will say is that Byron was available to speak with me either via email, text or phone call whenever I had a question or concern. When my incident happened I was in the process of moving back to PA and I was worried that I would have to spend a lot of time and money flying back and forth to get this taken care of. I didn’t have to lift a finger. He was able to take what should have been a huge fine plus jail time and minimize it back to a very small fine and NO jail time. I never had to go back to CA and the only effort I had to make was simply signing and mailing paperwork back to him.
I found him on this site; doing exactly what you are doing right now. As soon as I spoke with him on the phone I knew he was the guy to help me out. And along the way he proved himself to be as good as everyone said he was.

I got a second DUI in Sept, blowing a .09. My first one was 12 years ago so the court wanted to include it as a «stale prior» and have two DUI’s on my record which would cost me a lot of money and jail time. Byron handled everything for me and reduced my sentence remarkably (no jail, one day of work project and massively reduced fines). He is very professional, handled all my questions with respect and in a timely manner. I highly recommend him if you get a DUI. You won’t have to go to court and he will fight for you to get the best possible outcome.

Tried to pressure me to give up my right to speedy trial. Finally the judge himself said he was going to dismiss the charges and I was upset he dint jump on that and I had literally nudge him to ask for dismissal.
He didn’t even argue the case before me. I hope I don’t need an attorney again but it’s not going to be him

I’m a college student. I go to UC Davis. Stuff happens. And Davis police are meanies.
I have school and work, so I was definitely worried about my case and how I would deal with it and what I have to do and etc etc. Byron Roope alleviated my worries and gave me assurance that this stuff happens all the time and everything will just be dandy!!!
