Stopped in here while waiting for my smog check and what a disappointment. I ordered a pork bun and it was flat, dry and do undercooked that the dough was chewy. I felt like I was eating raw flour. The service was friendly though or maybe I went on a off day but I hope their usual baked goods are better.

Whenever we need the typical Chinese sponge cake with fruit filling we always order from Koon Kay Bakery located inside of Goldstar Market. Their bbq pork baos are flavorful and not dry and their coconut cream pastries are pretty good. It’s owned by an older couple and they are always super nice so that is a plus. Cakes are good and prices are decent. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I really like this bakery. We love baos and these are decently priced and yummy. The owners are really nice, the lady is hilarious; my dad and I always end up having funny random conversations with her.

This was such a disappointment. With high hopes, we entered Goldstar Market, and there along the left side wall was this tiny counter with signage indicating here was the bakery. We ordered two custard tarts, two char siu Baos, three Sesame balls and a sponge cake. The baos, really doughy, and the filling, while flavorful, was just a tease, i.e.all but missing. The custard tarts, simply not good. The sesame balls, supposed to have a nice drop of red bean filling, was chinzy at best. The red bean was virtually missing except for a little red color inside. And not that fresh. The sponge cake was just average. I don’t know what happened since the other three 5-star reviews, but this is not a place I would spend my money.

This bakery is delicious. They have the typical chinese bakery treats in addition to the delicious light Chinese cakes with the light cream and fruit layer. They’re located right next to and in Goldstar Supermarket I believe.
