First off I suggest ignoring Any negative reviews against this bar!
Don’t be fooled by the entrance of this bar. It is complete worth giving a chance. If you like midtown up scale bars with a slight club atmosphere this is the bar. Overall Amazing bar! Great atmosphere! Bar tender is very kind and friendly. Drinks are strong. People are friendly and the best part it still a dive bar!

I had a couple drinks here tonight and I had a great time with some old friends. The drinks are decently priced and pretty strong. My only issue with the place is its so dark u can’t see across the bar. All in all though cool spot

Great spot to go for happy hour! The bartender is really cool and she remembers her customers. The patio has fountains and somewhat of a tv. The ambience inside is kind of clubby but casual. I little dark but a nice place to relax with a little lady. 2nd time here and not the last!

Yes, it’s a dive. Yes, you’ll have fun. Whether you’re here to party or drinking your sorrows, you’ll be welcome at Joshua Pup’s. It’s in an old style strip mall building but has indoor chairs and couches, a bar and a patio setting.
The drinks are always poured strong here and super cheap. It’s super laid back and you’ll see neighborhood folks, suit and tie people after work and casual drinkers. This is a Sacramento staple.
You can order food here, but I wouldn’t recommend that. This is a place to drink. Walk to Loehman’s Plaza if you want to eat.

I absolutely love coming here, the first night I came in I instantly made friends! The bartenders Arnie and Dominique are AMAZING! The atmosphere is awesome, the prices are great! I definitely recommend this place to all who are looking for a good time and fun people! Music is always on and tasteful and you can’t beat the company!

Dive bar meets cozy lounge. I have been going here for years. But I no longer drink so i stopped going recently. This place is so charming and fun. It isn’t a meet market or a club. Good drinks, good music, good vibe and the owner will nuke some goodies for you in the microwave if you ask nicely (and pay the small menu price) the wait staff is top notch. Shout out to Dominique!

Good sitting area, strong drinks, and great staff! Unassuming from the outside but when you get inside the place really becomes somewhere that you can frequent. I reccomend thier pup specialties (4 – 6 shots) the zombie pup specifically. They also have 3 $ jäger bombs. Definitely somewhere to try in Arden-​arcade area.

Came in tonight for the first time! I loved it!!! The owner was so nice and the other female bartender (did not catch her name) was talking with us. They are very presentable and the decorations, I’m obsessed! Can’t wait to go back!!!
Drinks are strong and cheap. They come in big glasses as well!

What a pleasant suprise. The outside gives the impression of a dive bar but its not! Its nice and a very friendly atmosphere. Our bartender Arnie made us feel very welcome. Ill definitely be back!!!

Cool little place to grab a drink after work!
Dominique the bartender during Happy Hour is amazing! She is fun to talk to and has a great sense of humor! Always entertaining. She can also make some great drinks… And STRONG! I’m definitely not complaining…
The bar area is cool with a relaxed vibe, kind of small but not in a bad way. The other half of the place has a huge tv and couches but I’ve never sat over there or really paid any attention to it at all. They are always playing sports on tv during HH.
Cool «hidden gem» which I enjoy going to and hanging out for an hour or two. The crowd is mixed with a laid back vibe.
