Jimboy’s Tacos

I’ve been coming to this place since High School. The wait time is always less then 5 minutes and the food is always warm and fresh. I normally get an order of Fries which are really good! Or an order of Bean and Cheese Burrito which is also very good. Sometimes I might get something a little different but what I like the most is that my order is always right.
I give this place a 4 star because sometimes they will announce your entire meal in the microphone when it’s ready

Jimboy’s is some quality fast food. It’s quality Mexican food too. Better than you get at Vientos.
Their tacos have Parmesan cheese on them. Need I say more. Plus they’re cheap. All their food items are delicious actually. Service is whatever and no drive thru. Who cares.
Mmm. Never enough Jimboy’s.

I only come here for their tacos which are very tasty. The only downside is how high priced they are. The tacos here are better than Taco Bell though.
I usually get there #7 or 9 combo that comes with two tacos and the received beans with cheese and Spanish rice. Both are very tasty but if you get tacos by itself it’s $ 2.39 for one taco now so I advise you to just get the combo and go somewhere else for a cheaper taco. But, other than that, the tacos are very tasty.
Just use cash because they’re reader for CC are very slow and it takes like 5 minutes for them to process and be approved. It’s much quicker and easier if you pay with cash.

Never again will I eat here! Horrible customer service from the SUPERVISOR NAMED «BEN-​AY». I asked her multiple times how to say n spell her name and she refused because I told her I will write a review on Unilocal.
I ordered two ground beef tacos one with extra cheese and olives along with a chicken taco. 3 items so simple to make turned into a horrible experience.
I ended up with a taco with tomatoes instead of olives. How do you mistaken tomatoes for olives? Keep in mind she was the supervisor taking my order and could bare speak of and understand English! I repeated my self several times on what I wanted. I go back in I get it replaced and this time none of my tacos has lettuce!!! Irritating to the highest degree! I just wanted my money back but guess what, I threw my receipt away so couldn’t get my money back! Even tho I knew my order number (290) and HAD TO ASK FOR MY receipt to begin with! Woah! Never ever again! Ever!

If I could give this place 0 of 5 stars I would. They always mess up my orders. The cashiers never seem to know what I’m talking about. I even resort to speaking in Spanish and they still don’t understand (they’re Mexican). There’s 2 registers but only 1 is opened. Even if it’s super busy. The manager is a joke. Doesn’t even speak English. I caught them speaking to each other in Spanish about a customer who was rude. Eating area is kinda dirty too.

Went in to pick up some tacos today and we got great customer service! After we ordered, we were getting salsa and the gentleman who worked there came over and brought us a bag. Also, the Pibb Xtra was out, so I told the girl who was working and she replaced it right away! It was slow, so the service was quick. Our food came right out!

I am a huge fan of Jimboys tacos and I visited this location this week when I was in the area. I was served promptly and ordered four ground beef tacos and a side of seasoned steak fries. Everything arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and it was made fresh to order, correctly. The interior of the restaurant was clean and tidy and the salsa bar was fully stocked. I would definitely return here in the future for more tacos!

Purchased 2 taco specials today (2:45pm) which include a drink, 2tacos & a side of chips. I received 2 bags of approximately 5 chips which were stale CRUMBS not chips! This is the second time this particular Jimboy’s has done this. The first time was a few months ago I ordered super ground beef nachos and they gave me a pile of crumbs covered with cheese/​beef. I gave them another chance assuming that this may have occurred because I ordered late evening (8:30pm). There’s NO EXCUSE for this. Chips aren’t THAT expensive. Get it together before you lose more customers. I’m done!

Overrated and overpriced in my opinion. Also, they completely screwed up my order today :(

The tacos are really good I love the scenery the sauce is good everytime I go in I order two tacos with some French fries French fries there are pretty good it’s great to get a fast bite to eat and it’s close to my house so What else can you hate I would eat jimboys over Taco Bell any day

I recently discovered the deliciousness of fish taco from Jimboy’s.
This jimboys is close to my house, so I checked it out. Service is decent.
The tacos and food here is slightly higher than I would like. This place is like fast-​food for Mexican food, but why would I pay $ 3 something for a fish taco? Anyways, I paid for it anyways.
I like the taco shells in this place. It’s definitely greasy, it’s slightly deep fried but it’s not as crunchy as crunchy tacos but it has its crisp. I like the toppings inside the taco and the sauces. The tacos are slightly bigger than normal tacos.

I really think this is the best Jimboy’s location in all of the greater Sacramento area! I’ll have a burrito or a taco here and then I try another Jimboy’s… and the two will never compare, the Greenhaven location is always bigger and better tasting. I don’t know what it is, but this location always stands out as the best.

I hate to start the new year off with a negative review; however, I can’t help but to express my distaste for this particular Jimboy’s Tacos.
Because Greenhaven (where I reside) is limited when it comes to restaurants, the pickings are slim when you are trying to grab a quick bite. When it comes to getting quick Mexican food, I have always chosen Jimboy’s over the latter (Taco Bell). However, this particular Jimboy’s is terrible.
My usual go-​to meal is the Super Nachos with extra meat. On more than one occasion I have ordered (for dine-​in) their Super Nachos and have received stale chips. I understand that this can happen if you reheat nachos from the previous night, but that wasn’t the case. When I complained that the chips were stale, the cashier looked at me with an attitude and told me that they would remake them. Color me picky… but one would assume that when you place an order you should automatically receive fresh food. And if said fresh food is available, that one would receive it upon the initial order (not after complaining about it not being fresh).
I understand that due to our recovering economy, businesses are cutting corners. However, if you’re going to cut corners, at least pair it with great customer service. Until things improve, I will be satisfying my naughty «authentic» Mexican food cravings at the Taco Bell that’s less than two miles away.

Jimboy’s has been a part of my life for more than 20 years and I have loved every meal. I have been to several stores and this one is among my favorites. The employees greet you with a warm smile and are always very quick to offer advice. The salsa bar is nice. They have a few tasty selections and they also have their standard salsa in packets for the less brave.
I generally get the daily special because it allows me to sample the many tasty options on the menu. They are quick to bring you your food. They have a nice television and normally have it on a sports channel.
Come check them out if you want a good, cheap variation of Mexican food.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a Jimboy’s. Love their greasy tacos and combo plates. Was a little shocked at the price of a combo. The place was pretty clean. Nice salsa bar.

BEST JIMBOYS IN TOWN!!!
I have tried other jimboys none of them compare. I have been trying to figure out for years why this particular jimboys tastes better than the others in town. Finally I found out their secret… the manager has been working there for 10+ years. I am convinced she is their secret weapon!!!
DECOR: For a fast food place it’s pretty clean. I hate how I can see part of the kitchen from the register. I am always hoping I don’t see something that will freak me out.
FOOD: Beyond amazing, today I got a bean and cheese burrito. I am also obsessed with their cheese enchiladas and from time to time I get the chicken tacos. I don’t eat much fast food anymore but this place is something I can’t give up –_​_​_​-​.
SERVICE: In addition to the manager working here for 10+ years it seems like the other employees have been here awhile to. They are always really nice. No complaints.
I have been coming here since I was a child and they have yet to disappoint me. This place is For sure a Greenhaven/​Pocket area gem!

This Jimboy’s is a little bigger than the other’s I’ve been to. It’s in a great location on Florin Road. The food here is consistently good. The restaurant could use a good cleaning. The service is ok, they’ll crack a smile if you do first.

I’ve learned that Jimboy’s is a pretty staple institution here in the Sacramento area. Over the course of going to the location in downtown Sacramento and the location here in land park, I’ve learned that both locations are solid choices.
What’s the huge plus of Jimboy’s? As greasy and fattening as it may be, it is always a solid choice. Their food always is tasty and reminds me of southern California Mexican food.
This location in particular has very fast service. Sorry, no drive thru but I am usually in and out of there in 5 minutes.
What to order you ask? Try the super burrito or any of their tacos. I mean, afterall, look at the name. Do not expect healthy but do expect delicious!

I’ll keep this one short. After transplanting to the bay, I sometimes really miss their tacos. There’s just something about their semi greasy, cheese-​crack coated shells and ground beef that I crave every time Mercury and Jupiter are in alignment with Earth. Definitely not the most authentic mexican food, but it hits the spot. They offer 6 different salsas and the food is always consistent, which definitely counts for a star in my book.

The boo wanted me to try this place to compare it to the tacos from Nugget. I’m bougie so this place the tacos were probably more authentic and he loved them. To me they were greasy and a little tasteless unless you used the sauce. I also prefer chicken tacos so that may be it for me. We also got the nachos. I felt disgusting after eating all of that food. I can’t say it was horrible but in comparison it was just ok to me. Will definitely give them another try as I have heard awesome things, but maybe I was off or this location was. I love Mexican food so I will definitely be back to give it another go!
