Specialties

I-TAP trains and maintain commercial electricians with or without experience in the field, and we also provide the mandated continuing education classes for electricians already in the field. We are your One-Stop School!

We dedicate 35% of your learning time in our «live» labs, which you can only find at I-TAP in Northern California!

We offer a 26-week full time program or a 5-year part time program that will get and keep you in this highly regarded and well paid profession!

Did you know that the average pay for a CA Commercial Electrician is $ 56/hour plus benefits? That is over $ 116K a year with opportunities for upward development too!

History

Established in 2003.

I-TAP was founded by Nutter Electric Inc, a family owned, large, and successful commercial electrical contractor that has been in the Sacramento Region since 1970. In 2000, Norm Nutter founded the school, in response to the need to develop quality commercial electricians within the local electrical community to further develop training opportunities for the professionals in this field.

Since 2003, I-TAP has trained and boasted over a 90% passing rate for the State Exam — a very distinct and unique success that other schools cannot come close to.

We believe the small classrooms and the highly qualified staff with a focus on teaching HOW to use the code book (instead of the memorizing approach) is what sets us off as one of the greatest instructional programs in all of California. Many students travel from 2 – 3 hours away per day just for the opportunity to be trained by TAP!

Come visit us-anytime, any work day, & get a candid tour of the school to see what all the attention is about!
