Howe It’s Done

This is «how it’s done» by these people: provide moldy fruit and stale baked goods for two days in a row when catering; then deny that it’s moldy; then blame the customer for not understanding what «farm fresh produce» tastes like.

Howe It’s Done catering was recommended by a friend in the Rancho Cordova area as we were coming from all over the United States for a Bachelorette Weekend in Napa and Amador wine countries.
From get Gloria was accommodating, responsive and available. We wanted a catered dinner for Friday and a picnic lunch /​boxed lunches for Saturday. We were a party of 16 with different tastes and some with allergies. Gloria and Kerry were meticulous in their details and provided all our orders beyond our expectations. They went over and beyond in making sure everything was right. They even provided a chest box for our boxed lunches since we were driving to Napa and leaving the hotel early, an amazing fruit and cheese platter and crackers. All the foods were fresh, well presented and satisfying.
We ordered a 2 entrée dinner (beef and chicken) but since we had one lady who only eats fish, Gloria and Kerry were fast to accommodate her and made her a special salmon plate at no extra charge.
They were on time both to set up the dinner and to deliver the lunches. They were personable and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Sacramento area and it’s environs and I will most definitely work with them in the future if I get a chance.

Didn’t even get a response.
I was excited to interview this company for my Wedding coming up in the Fall 2012. Originally I contacted them through their website via email and did not get a response. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I left them a voicemail about a week later. To my surprise I never got a call back. Maybe they are out of business or were not available for the day I was requesting, but either way they should have at least had the courtesy to make a phone call or email in response to both of my inquiries.

Gloria made our wedding such an amazing experience. She and Kerry catered to our every whim and by the end of the celebrations, truly felt like family.
I have to say that my new husband and I were not your typical crazy people about to get married. We wanted the day to be laid back an fun with great food and wine, but didn’t really care about all the fussy wedding day nonsense like colors and favors and all that. This also can lead to massive indecisiveness which can infuriate some vendors.
Not only that, but we wanted a non traditional menu of middle eastern food. I gave them the list of the food we wanted to serve and we were invited for a complementary tasting. (some of the other caterers charged for this). The food was mind blowingly good! There were people from all cultures and walks of life at this wedding and they all said the food was outstanding. Our DJ, also a friend, told us that the caterers would keep checking on him to see if he needed food or a drink.
There were so many little details I could mention that made the service level impeccable, but this review would be too long. Just know 4 things:
1. Their food blows other caterers out of the water.
2. They are women owned and operated
3. They are very responsive to every need when you need it, and are great at making helpful suggestions when you don’t know what you want. (Gloria even helped us pick flowers and decide how we wanted the venue arranged because we were so clueless.)
4. They feel like family and will go out of their way to make your wedding an amazing experience.
My one regret: my dress was tight so I couldn’t eat very much food that day. Maybe I can sneak another tasting.,

Catered Heald College mixer for the Rancho Cordova Chamber. My favorite was mashed potatoe martini bar– excellent. Also Shrimp and chicken skewers with tasty sauces including an apricot sauce. Not only great food but very friendly delivery.
