I usually go to the GNC in Woodland but recently moved in the Arden area. I had a great experience with the manager F.J. Nice guy who was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was also my girlfriend’s first time in GNC and she liked it.

I’ve been to this GNC store inside the Arden Fair Mall for the past 1 ½ years. The atmosphere in this store is alright despite the low visitors inside this mall although I can cheer the employees up with delight while I come by. The employees are well received for me, so I can ask about their products and third-party products, concerns, and suggestions. I’ve met several current and former GNC workers(ie. Ben D. who worked this store between 2013 – 2014) in this store, and they did in a good way to make me a frequent customer. My possible suggestions to improve this GNC store is to bring promotions more while working in the mall, so there will be more customers to attract their interests. Of course, on the other hand, this store offers free samples if you want to try their products you want to buy. Overall, GNC at the Arden Fair Mall is a good, well-friendly store to get the good workout or dietary supplements, so I can reach my daily workout goals. No matter what the consequences is, I will rely to come back. I rate this store: 3 ½ stars.

The employee who tried to help me didn’t seem to be familiar with nutrition or able to answer any specific questions about why I should try one product over another, or what the benefits and active ingredients of any of them were, instead relying on some kind of script designed to «educate» me, I assume. For example, when I asked if they had any whey protein powders without added flavors or ingredients, she directed me to a chocolate flavored protein powder and proceeded to tell me why I should only mix whey protein with water and never milk. Ok… But not really what I asked for. She also had trouble pronouncing Paleo(«polio»), GMOs(gimmos”) and said she had never heard of Assault, despite its prominent display in their front window(«Oh, I thought you were saying a salt! You know? Like salt that you put on your food?») I’m sure they get a lot of traffic from laymen due to their mall location, but if you actually know what you’re looking for, don’t waste your time here.
