Great Combo Sandwich & Broccoli Cheddar Soup! SITREP I don’t know about the coffee here. Nor have I had the Juice. Let alone none of the Smoothies. But I CAN tell you the sandwiches and the soups absolutely rock here! THESETUP Gino’s is literally just a stone’s throw away(if I «throw» really really hard) from the 7th& P corner of our office block. It’s just a block up at 7th& O, which is a very convenient walk to the Capitol Towers where Gino’s is located. [For those of you keeping score on nearby places, the restaurant«Strings Urban Kitchen(SUK)» is located in the same building just on the other side.] MYSANDWICHCOMBO I love the combo sandwich combo here. And, «no», I didn’t stutter. The«Combo Sandwich» is a «thing». And getting the«Combo Sandwich» in a combo is «another thing». * The Combo Sandwich is a delicious combination of turkey, ham, pastrami, and lots of other ingredients — choice of bread(Sourdough or French Roll) and fresh produce: * The Combo Sandwich Combination is the sandwich and includes your choice of the soup of the day: in today’s instance it was a delicious Broccoli cheese soup. The Sandwich is $ 6.51 including tax. The Combo is about $ 9.75 with the soup. THELOWDOWN For me, Gino’s is a great sandwich & soup stop for under ten bucks.

I never tried any of their food but I did order a tuxedo mocha. It’s inexpensive but it doesn’t taste different from any other tuxedo mocha. The place is small and it may be hard to find the first time. But hey at least there is parking unlike most coffee places downtown.

We called in our order.(3MSS= Morning Special Sandwich with bacon). They said it would take 15 minutes. Our sandwiches were ready for us by the time we got there. Good service. Staff greeted us with a smile and a good morning. Morning special sandwich w/bacon: Wheat bagel with sprouts, cream cheese, onion, tomato, cucumber and bacon. Bagel was nice and soft. Toasted perfectly. Would I get this again? Most definitely! =)

I work around the corner from here on Qst! I’m not a fan of my works Chocolate Fish coffee beside our building, so when I crave some coffee I LOVE taking a short walk here with my coworkers to get some coffee. The location is really nice and cute, and super easy to find/get to! The staff inside is always the same few people and they’re very very kind people and extremely fast at getting your drinks to you! Literally not even a minute to get your coffee! I get a Carmel iced coffee and spend $ 2 and it’s heaven– so creamy and perfectly balanced with sweet and strong flavors. They also have teas and Italian sodas that my friends have ordered and love getting! As well as several treats to pick from! I love this place and so happy it’s a location near my work that I can enjoy with my friends and coworkers!

Four-stars for good espresso drinks(especially the cold ones) and sandwiches. I’ve been here a few times now since it’s very, very close to my work and know I’ll be back again. Today I got a grilled cheese sandwich and a small Americano. The sandwich was good, although I was a bit disappointed with the«house salad.» The cashier told me they didn’t have any potato salad today, which I’ve had before and enjoyed. The house salad was romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese and a little amount of vinegar/oil dressing. The salad was so-so and I would just ask for chips in the future if the potato salad wasn’t available. The espresso drinks are strong and bitter; my personal taste is for less bitter but that’s just my own taste. They’re always better than say Starbucks but that’s a given for just about any café. Like I said above, I’ll be back and am eager to try different sandwiches. Thanks!

Gino has a lot more than Java and Juice. I’ve lately been addicted to the morning bagel veggie sandwiches(whoever said they’re stingy on the cream cheese should go to a few of the other places in the area that have bagels and compare again. They placed two packets in my bag, which was more than enough.) and the Italian Chopped Salad. Yum. They have a creamy balsamic dressing here that is to die for. Sammies are also delicious and fresh. The coffee is satisfactory, and I’ve not tried the supposed juice yet, but it’s on my list. Service can be slow, but prices are low and the staff helpful. It’s a pretty small eatery if you’re planning to spend your lunch here, even with the two or three outdoor patio tables. It’s located at the bottom of the Capitol Towers apartment tower. I appreciate how close this stop is on these hot days of late, when I walk to and from the light rail and my office. Also the favorite choice for salad place according to my boss, which is what brought me here in the first place. I’ll keep coming back!

It stands to reason one visiting a café names for its juice would partake in some, but I seem to be the odd woman out when it comes to Gino’s. I have never tried the coffee, smoothies, or juices, but I love their sandwiches and various muffins. The food is always fresh and the pastries I have tried are delicious. I usually build my own sandwich, turkey on wheat with Swiss(pure deliciousness), or grab a morning croissant or muffin. The lemon muffins are magical. The prices are fair and the service is quick, even though it can definitely get crowded in that little space. Gino’s helps me out in a lunch pinch from time to time and a nice turkey sandwich from there never disappoints.

The bagels are good but the service is just ok and they are stingy with their cream cheese, Hate that. I haven’t had the coffee yet I was too annoyed to order it because it seemed like she didn’t want to give me another cream cheese. The bagel came out nice a warm and it was about 3 bucks or so. I’ll probably go back because I work so close but hopefully they’re not so stingy next time.

The hubs and I meet at Gino’s during a hectic day at work when we just want to get away for a quick break. They have plenty of hot and cold drink options whether it be for coffee or tea. I really like their iced white mocha while the hubs usually gets a large iced green tea. Since this has always been our coffee/tea break place I never really got to review their menu items. Today, I actually perused the menu and they have a couple of salad, sandwich, and soup options that would be perfect for lunch! I actually have a craving for their greek salad that’s currently on the menu… hopefully I’ll get a chance tomorrow to sneak away and grab something quick! Location: Tucked away at Capitol Towers on 7th between O and P street. Great place to go for State workers that are tired of the same old same old on P and 10th(Yummy, Bagel Time, etc.) or even the cafeteria on 8th and P street.

I always go for their Mexican Mochas, but their lunches are also wonderful. I got the half sandwich, half salad, with the Italian chopped salad(wonderful, and the small size was plenty). For the sandwich, I picked the grilled cheese. It was probably the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had — one half is huge because it’s on foccacia bread and grilled like a panini. Three kinds of cheese and a tomato make it special. One star off because the grilled cheese is $ 1 more than meat sandwiches(why?) so the half salad and half sandwich was too pricey at $ 9 out the door. However, it was super good, so maybe it was worth it.

So far, so good! I have had their coffee, morning special sandwich and hope to try their lunch sandwiches soon. Fast service and prompt when to take your order. I like that it’s so close to work. Morning special sandwich is a bagel with sprouts, cream cheese, onion, tomato, and cucumber. You wouldn’t expect that for breakfast but it’s light and not heavy like egg and meat which is the norm for a typical breakfast sandwich.

I really like this coffee shop. They offer a good selection of coffees, iced coffees, mochas, chia teas, lattes, etc. They also offer many different types of sandwiches; tuna, veggie, and their grilled cheese is AMAZING. They also have a selection of pastries in the morning, bagels, cookies, scones, etc. it also like that they occasionally rotate in Soup of the Day.

I came upon this little café while walking around during my lunch break. I haven’t tried their drinks, so this review is based on the food I had on my visit. Service was good, but the food I had was not because the grilled cheese sandwich had an awkward taste and the vinagarette for the salad was not good. I’ve had better! Revisit? Probably not for the food, but maybe to try out their drinks.

I have been drinking iced coffee from Gino’s for over a year now and never thought to Unilocal about it. surprised that some of the ratings are in the 2 and 3 range though. If you are in a rush and want some good coffee, this is the place to go. Even though they are packed ALL the time, they get your drink out to you incredibly quickly. Needless to say, Great coffee, Great service and good prices. And the Eastern European chick that works there… PRIMO!!! ;)

Great place to come and get coffee in the morning. They have plenty of bagels and pastries to eat in the morning and have a minimal but tasty lunch menu. I have been going there since June 2001 and Nevena my barista has been awesome.

Like most of their customers, I work nearby. Today was the first time in a long time that I’ve been back because I just don’t feel that the employees are customer friendly. I waited at least 15 minutes for a panini! It wasn’t during a busy time, so I don’t know what took so long. While I was waiting, 2 of the 3 employees got into an argument right there where everyone could hear them. Not good for business if you ask me! Anyway, the sandwich was barely ok. I think I’ll finally just give up on this place and not go back.

Yay!!! I think this is going to be my newest favorite coffee shop! I had an iced coffee and it was really good! The flavor of the coffee was really good. I’ve also gotten a mocha the other day and it was chocolate-y goodness! Yum!!! They also serve pastries and breakfast sandwiches that I want to try one day! The ladies that work there are also very nice and polite! In the morning this place is literally the EDD lounge and meeting spot! Haha! Only sad part is that they are not open on the weekends which would be great for all the residents in CT! Maybe some day!

I’ve had mixed experiences here, some items have been good, some have been kind of bad, like the Mexican hot chocolate and the soup(tasted like can soup with fake/processed meat and all). The scones are yummy and the white chocolate mocha is yummy but doesn’t have much of an espresso taste(tastes more like a white hot chocolate). Sandwiches are ok, I know people who like them, but I am not a huge fan.

Always very fast service. I have come many mornings for coffee and I never have to wait more than a few minutes. For breakfast, you have a choice of bagels & pastries. For lunch, I love the Siciliano hot sandwich– always very hot and fresh. There is a choice of hot & cold sandwiches, soups, and salads. The atmosphere is really nothing special but the staff, speed, and coffee keeps me coming back.
