Established in 2013.

Natasha Apiag, CMT and Erica Shaw, licensed esthetician and makeup lover, began Enlighten Bodhi Spa to create a space where the busy person could escape from the everyday world. Enlighten stands for our ability to lift your burden whether it be muscle tension or a pesky breakout. The word Bodhi is short for Bodhisattva which is a person who has awoken to their own potential. Our treatments give our clients power back in their bodies, and knowledge of how to take care of themselves better.

Enlighten Bodhi Spa began as a dream of Erica and Natasha many moons ago when owning a business seemed impossible. At the time, Natasha was still in Massage School and Erica was a Hostess at a local restaurant. Their love for the healing arts and Erica’s determined spirit eventually evolved and became their shared mission, to bring their dream to reality. Originally nestled in East Sacramento Wellness Cooperative on 30th and C street, they quickly realized that what they had to offer is as unique as their backgrounds. Natasha is a retired pro Football player for the Sacramento Sirens, Hawaiian native while Erica is a Science buff, beauty product junkie and very much the optimist.

Combining their strengths, they opened Enlighten Bodhi Spa on J street April 2015, after being with the ESAC Wellness group for 2 years. Come in sometime and see why they are Sacramento’s best kept secret!

Jayme is new to the Spa and is absolutely AMAZING! I have had my lashes done by her multiple times and just had my first facial with her yesterday :) She is very knowledgable and very good at what she does. I felt so relaxed and well educated on my skin and what it needs to be healthy. Not to mention that I always leave there looking FABULOUS!

Hands down best facial and massage ever! I purchased the groupon for a facial and a massage and was very impressed. The esthetician was incredibly knowledgable and educated me on skin care ingredients. She also took her time with the extractions and was very thorough. The massage therapist took her time and located my knots and tension areas. The facial was tailored to my specific needs and so was the massage. I highly recommend!

I love coming here to see Erica! She is a wonderful and knowledgeable esthetician and always helps me with any problems I’m experiencing with my skin. She is warm and friendly and puts you at ease the instant you walk in the door. The products she uses are amazing and I always walk out with beautiful, glowing skin! Tasha is an excellent massage therapist as well – I can’t wait to book an appointment with her soon so I can relax. Both of these beautiful women are incredible at their jobs and I always look forward to seeing them!

For years, my wife has had facials by Erica and we’ve both had massages by Tasha. Can’t speak highly enough for these two bright young stars. My wife always comes home refreshed and glowing (from either service) and I always come away from massages feeling completely relaxed. I’m sorry it’s taken me this long to remember to write the review but I’m glad I did! Can’t recommend these two highly enough. Congrats on upgrading to the new space! We wish you nothing but the best.

I have been seeing Erica and Tasha since the beginning. They are both amazing women who just know how to calm and relax you. Just being in their spa will mellow you and that’s before having your service. If you book a facial or wax service with Erica you won’t be disappointed. She makes you feel comfort and at ease, even during a bikini wax. The facials are top notch and a true spa experience. She’s very knowledgeable about products and ingredients in them and what might be best for your skin type.
And I I were rich and famous I would hire Tasha to be on call all the time. Her technique is the best I’ve experienced, and I had previously hopped around looking for someone good. I workout a lot and she knows how to really pinpoint your problem area and loosen you up. These two ladies are seriously worth a visit– treat yourself, but be forewarned– you’ll get hooked. :-)

Erica Shaw gave me a facial two day before my wedding. I have to say that not only was my skin glowing, but so was my spirit.
Days before my wedding I was a stressed out MESS, and my skin was absolutely reflecting my inner turmoil. I had dark circles under my eyes, my skin was dull, dry/​flaky AND oily all at the same time.
Erica had soothing music playing an aromatherapy going. Immediately I felt more calm. I was a bit nervous to get a facial so close to the day of the wedding especially because my make-​up artist told me to get a facial 4 weeks before the wedding date (not two days… YIKES! But really, when you are planning a wedding, who has the time?). I told Erica about my insecurities and she quelled them right away. She told me she would not do extractions on me as my face would not have time to heal before the wedding, and she used some very gentle product.
As the mask was on my face, Erica rubbed my feet and legs, and her partner, Natasha (who is the massage therapist there), came in and rubbed my neck and shoulders. I kid you not, I fell asleep on that dang table. It was the best rest I gotten for weeks!
When I left, my circles were gone, my skin was soft, bright and dewy, and I was calm and ready for my wedding! I am not joking when I say that every person in my life (guys included), told me how great my skin looked!
SERIOUSLY…do yourself a favor, go to Enlighten Bodhi Spa and let Erica and Natasha take care you! These ladies are just amazing!

Friendly, attentive, sensitive proprietors. Fantastic massage, addressing every muscle/​tension issue I brought up. A nice, clean, quiet space, too; the time flew by and I feel much improved right now, a few hours after.
The massage was a gift from my wife, but I’ll be back — they are affordable and close by, and this is a great way to relax after a hard week of work & the kids running all over me.
