Emigh Ace Hardware

My Husband and I have been into Emigh’s (pronounced Amy’s) Ace Hardware a few times now for misc items to fix up our house. On the most recent weekend that we came in they were having a «Buy 2 Get 1 Free Paint Sale» which ended up being the same price as their «big box» competitors sale so we went to buy our paint from the local guys.
When we walked in I was surprised at how PACKED it was on a Saturday morning. The parking lot is a nice size so we were able to find a spot easily, and even though the register lines were a little long they had all their registers open which I really give them major props for. Their other «big box» competitors would never even think about doing that. They would have made us wait.
My Husband and I went to the Paint Department where we were immediately helped by one of the two paint guys working. They were very helpful in solving our painting problems and suggested extras that we didn’t even know we needed. It was great to receive excellent customer service which is exceedingly rare these days.
While we were waiting for our paint to be mixed I started walking around the store and noticed that they really do carry everything! Books, candies, all kinds of cleaners, chair cushions, drinking cups, mugs, small kitchen appliances, glitter paint, stains, small kitchen gadgets, balloons, pet supplies etc. You can find almost everything here!
I will definitely be coming back again and would recommend it to friends. It’s a neighborhood gem.

This place is amazing. I work on motorcycles a lot. And as such, I need a lot of tools/​hardware/​chemicals. I’m so glad I found Emigh. The nicest employees on earth, and the coolest selection of anything you could ever want. Seriously. My girlfriend asks to come to the hardware store with me now, just so she can browse the plants, housewares, and just general awesome stuff they have there. I always go to Emigh first for all of my needs, and am bummed when they don’t have what I need, because that means I have to deal with a large corporation that’s run like a large corporation. Will always go to Emigh, as long as I leave near enough

I love this store! Every employee that I have interacted with has been friendly and very helpful. Thank goodness smaller community stores like this are still around despite the big box stores where finding can be frustratingly difficult.

This place has a lot of really cute stuff. Lots of options. They also have a garden center and a cute little café stand out front. Most importantly though, every single person we interacted there was extremely helpful and extremely extremely nice. It really made for a good shopping experience. Definitely would return here for all our hardware needs

This is my favorite hardware store. My friend’s families used to shop here when we were kids. Now that we have moved back to Sacramento, we shop here all the time. They are so nice and helpful. They carry top quality merchandise. And their prices are reasonable for the quality of goods they carry. I love this store! :)

We bought a home in Del Paso Manor about a year ago. The home was originally built in 1951 and was in desperate need of a remodel. It seemed like several times a day I was in Emigh’s holding a 1951 «square peg» that I needed to connect to a modern «round hole» plumbing or electrical fixture.
The staff at Emigh’s were helpful and happy to help from day one. I even recall one guy mentioning «I like it when you come in, its always a fun puzzle to solve».
It is true there prices may be a bit higher than the bog box stores, but they have a mobile text club where they text you deals each month. Combine those with the $ 5 off coupons they send in the mail, and you can get better deals than at other places… and outstanding customer service!

Amazing store with amazing customer service! We were looking for a part to repair a lamp. Short of ordering on Amazon we decided to visit Emigh Hardware, sine all the big retail stores and specialty lamp stores didn’t carry it. Guess what? Emigh had it, as they have everything! Saved me from paying a $ 5.50 shipping charge! Yay Emigh! You’re the best!

Location: This store is located in a bustling area that offers a variety of places to dine and shop. The parking lot can get crowded, but you can always find a spot.
Prices: You may find an item sold here for less at a discount store, but the price you pay here is definitely fair given the variety, convenience and customer service.
Goods: There are lots and lots of products here, so it’s highly unlikely you won’t find what you came in for… and, in fact, you’ll find stuff you didn’t even realize you were looking for… and then some. This is a great place to go if you need to get a gift for someone.
Customer Service: The associates at this store are warm, inviting, and knowledgeable. They take their time to provide you with a full explanation, escort you to the location of the item you’re looking for, and always have a warm and welcoming smile.

I’m a transplant from the Bay Area where customer service is a must. I’ve lived here for 5 years and family members told me about Emighs Hardware store. It took me awhile to find it on Google cause I was spelling it wrong I purchase all my backyard furniture, umbrellas, barbeques, flags, yard decorations, garden plants, tools and misc household gadgets here.
I love coming to Emigh’s. Their customer service brings tears of happiness to my eyes! Friendly, polite, helpful, knowledgeable. I always come here first (I always will), and I usually find what I am looking for. Dread sets in my heart if for some chance they don’t carry what I’m looking for, and I have to resort to going to the (shudder) «Big Box Hardware Store»

Wow! What a difference in service and selection– especially service.
I like in Elk Grove and work in Rancho and I will shop here instead of Lowes or Home Depot.

Tim in the paint department is the best! Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable about the products, and went above and beyond — even helping to re-​seal our old paint can, all while still acknowledging other customers in the store.
I’m very happy with the colors he helped us pick for our house. He knows what he’s doing!

I just moved to the neighborhood and the previous owner left me a gift card to the «best hardware store in town» his words.
I was on the hunt to find a flag pole, I tried Target, Lowes, Home Depot, Jo-​Anns and Hobby Lobby and NONE of them had flag poles.
I was tired of driving around and figured I should probably call them — a gentleman helped me on the phone to look for the wooden flag pole I wanted and what do you know!

Love Emigh Hardware. As usual, I found what I needed, and more! With today’s 80 degree weather, I also needed a little cooling off. Right by the exit is a freezer with gelato Popsicles! Oooohhhh, my! Blue Bottle Coffee gelato. Yum! Emigh’s continues to delight.

I am so in love with Emigh Hardware. For years and years I’ve been shopping here and getting lost in the aisles packed full of necessary, useful, and interesting merchandise for sale. You can even find great gifts for others while picking up home and gardening supplies for your own home. Of course you will want to treat yourself too while you’re here — I always do.

NOTE: If you’ve never been to Emigh Hardware before plan on spending lots of time browsing around and looking at all the cool stuff they have to offer. I guarantee you will lose track of time.

I love Emigh hardware. This is what a hardware store should be. They have a plethora of products; well stocked; knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful employees; and reasonable prices. It’s a bit of a drive for me but I was looking for a particular mineral oil that was food grade for my cutting boards; they had it and it was cheaply priced. I went to the chain box stores and they didn’t carry anything comparable.
Give Emigh a try for your hardware needs. You won’t regret it.

The connector for the rear view mirror on my car had stripped threads and I was looking for a solution that didn’t involve replacing the entire assembly for hundreds of dollars. After presenting the problem piece in the hardware department, the cheerful and helpful associate quickly tapped the hole to the next larger size screw and sold me two new larger screws to fit. Voila! In less than 10 minutes, I had an 18 cent solution and a big smile.
This is typical of the excellent «can do» service I get whenever I go. Thanks, Emigh’s!

Once again being a newbie greenhorn to the Sac area; early Saturday morning from home I began my Unilocal search for a local super close to home hardware store for some projects at the new Casa… Immediately Emigh Hardware popped up with steLLar reviews from fellow Unilocalers and CUSTOMER SERVICE was a constant mention within the previous reviews…
All I can say is that for a ‘hardware’ store this plaCe is more like a ONE ~ Stop ~ ShOp even for a chIc. No joke! They have EVERYTHING… Prices are well a tad on the high side BUT if you consider that it pretty much is a one stop shop; the additional monies you pay for the items you need actually saves you time and money and valuable energy –vs– running all over Sac and back to find your items.

Customer Service is off the hoOk unbeatable… You can’t walk down an aisle without either passing an employee or being asked if you need help finding anything. Compare that to Home Depot where you practically have to long distance tazer an employee just to one find them and two get them to even help you.
Selection is FANTASTIC… I mean its really hard to describe but they are a hardware store AND THEN SOME…
LARGEST selection of Hummingbird feeders i’ve seen to date and I’m an avid feeder shopper typically leaving any store empty handed due to their LACk of selection. NOT this place…
GREAT outdoor decoration area… Seriously! again prices are a bit high but the quality and selection to beautify both the inside and outside of your own Casa are quite vast ;)
WIND CHIMES! also very good selection of quality and decorative windchimes.
AMAZING hardware selection and one on one customer service assistance as well.
Central Location. Right off of Watt.
Hours of operation again are very very good. Open by 8 – 830 on a Sunday morning works wonders for me.

They didn’t carry Mayonnaise… I know right… Although they do have damn near anything you need harware or otherwise; no Best Foods Mayo on the shelf …
And they really could use a larger selection of VEGETABLE and HERBS as in the fresh ‘plantable’ kind. Amazing selection of plants and trees and the like but short in these two areas.
Final Grade: A+ (not removing the plus due to the lack of mayo availability ;)
