Business Owner
Elizabeth Cassin has been the CEO/Administrator since 1999 and was one of the founders of the non-profit entity Elica Health Centers, previously known as MMC for Children and Families. Under her leadership, EHC was awarded the Sacramento Community Services Award for excellence and the facilities have grown from 3,000 patient encounters in 1999 to an average of 20,000 a year today. Ms. Cassin has more than 25 years experience in healthcare and worked with local hospitals’ Community Partnership Program in Sacramento before joining EHC. Her well known commitment to partnerships and collaborative resource development across private/public sector boundaries has led to seven community-based multi-million dollar projects that were anchored in economic development, healthcare and working with the homeless. In May, Ms. Cassin was among 17 professionals honored as a 2012 Health Care Hero by the Sacramento Business Journal.
