Came here for the Jamaica drink and also ended leaving with 3 rolled taco special. Food was just mediocre, nothing amazing. Drive thru took forever and I didn’t get a straw for my drink. The place is open 24hrs, so definitely good place to come if everything else is closed.

#24 is my personal favorite. I’ve tried a lot of breakfast burritos the morning after some moderate to heavy drinking but El Forestero’s #24 with bacon, egg, potatoes and cheese? Topped with lots of salsa roja & verde!!! Gimme! I’ve also had lunch here a couple times. Nothing life changing but overall, tasty & consistent. Maybe a 3-star rating otherwise, but the breakfast burritos make this a four star rating for sure. I want one now!!!

My Street Tacos(Mini-Tacos) were delish, and loaded with meat. I had Adobada and Carnitas. Looking forward to a return trip. They need tables outside though.

Convenient because of it’s location and distance from my home. But the drive thru space is tight. Thank goodness for the fact that I have a small car. You have to know how to squeeze your car in and out. Veteran drivers got it, but a word of caution to the new drivers… if you don’t think you can, don’t. I usually order the steak fajitas combination plate, and it has not disappointed me yet. Looking forward to going back and trying the other menu items.

I eat lunch here every day pretty much! It is awesome! Love the rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese or the carne asada super nachos! Reasonably priced also. Not in the best neighborhood but love the food anyway since i work nearby!

Went here for the first time earlier this month and was disappointed. The customer service was just fine, but the food wasn’t very good: rather bland and cheaply made. My husband ordered a beef and potato burrito, and guess what the potatoes were? French fries. Yes, just stick some fries in there instead of the usual chunks of potato. Lame!!! The grated cheese on and in the burrito was cold and falling all over the place. A few other problems: 1. No soap in the women’s bathroom. I told the young woman when she brought our food, and she apologized and said they were out of soap. Restaurants should plan better so they don’t run out of soap. 2. The plastic utensils(no metal ones provided) are small and extremely cheap. I’d hate to try cutting anything or even spearing anything very thick. 3. Just a small thing: The styrofoam cups say the place is open 24 hours, but signs say open until 10 p.m. I’m not surprised they don’t stay open overnight as this is a somewhat sketchy neighborhood, but don’t advertise false hours.(Perhaps their other locations are open 24 hours, or this one used to be open 24 hours, but still, the information on the cups is wrong.)

The portions are large and the food is pretty cheap. They are generous with the amount of meat they include unfortunetaly the meat is not good. We get this at work every now and then and ive tried a few items my favorite is the super burrito because its not overkill with the bad meat. Everyone else seems to really like the taco salad its in a huge taco bowl.

The 2 taco combo meal was pretty good, the meat could have been seasoned more is all.

Went here for lunch, had a Carne Asada Burrito. It would be very difficult to differentiate between it and A bean and cheese burrito as there was very little Carne Asada and unfortunately it was all in one part of the Burrito. The flavor was good but far too salty. The restaurant to self was busy and clean, and the staff was friendly. Maybe there are other items they are known for, probably not the burritos. As a follow up now later in the day, I have a good heartburn just for an added bonus.

I love going here because they open late. And they serve great breakfast for cheap. I always get #24 breakfast burrito to share with my babe. I love the salsa bar– they are fresh I always go inside to get chips. I can’t resist that. I dine in once in a while. Update: I tried their chile relleno last Sunday. It was delicious! It’s my favorite staple food. Mom loved her steak burrito! Kudos! I will come for more. I will dare to try more items.

Great food. Reminds me of a place we used to visit in LA at 2am that had«gringo tacos», basically the classic with cheese and guacamole. Got the Carnitas tacos and they were excellent. Taco salad left a little to be desired. Got the kids the rolled tacos, basically a taquito. 5 year old couldn’t stop raving about them!

This reminds me of a jimboys Knockoff. Used to be Maria’s Taco’s. I tried the rolled up taco’s and they were smothered with sour cream and cheese. They were luke warm at best No Flavor. Burrito’s were decent, but Have had way better. They use a large tortilla but it seems they are too big for the portion they give you. Salsa was ok as well, but not impressive. This place will do if you are in the area and hungry but I prefer La Fiesta or California Burrito on J. This place just seemed to lack authentic flavor.

This place was gooood indeed! I got a combo meal with one enchilada and a side order of 3 «rolled tacos»(which I have always called taquitos!) The«rolled tacos» reminded me of childhood trips down to San Diego where they use to have small roadside taco stands. I loved them! El Forastero had great rolled tacos! They also had a good enchilada! I also liked that they had a salsa bar with lots of flavors with different levels of spiciness and not to mention the bottomless chips! MUYBUENO!

Went in with my sister when I was in Sacramento. Pretty good Mexican food. Staff was friendly & very cooperative. Expecially because we requested things which weren’t included. & quite a few people come in & seem to like the place. Great Environment.
