I’ve been here a couple of times so far, generally it is nice having something decent close to where I live considering my stomach has some terrible whims for what I want to eat. Currently, so far I’ve tried the carnitas plate, mojarra a la diablo, a chicken burrito, and the nachos. It has always been to go orders for me so I can’t say a great amount about how it is on the inside but the service I have gotten has always been pleasant, and the food has been quick to order. The inside does look spacious though with tvs playing sports on a general basis. I’d say I like the carnitas plate and mojarra the best. The carnitas has typically had just the right amount of salt and spice for it to keep me munching on it. The mojarra plate it just a good dish overall with the fish fried and topped with a nice smoked chile sauce(might not be exact but that’s what I remember from it haha) and sautéed onions with it. The food has been clean and well prepared so I’ve had no problems to date. The burritos are a good size for the price, and you get what you expect tastewise. While I haven’t had all the cuts of meat since I try to eat vegetarian when I can. The nachos seemed a little skimpy in some parts but with free chips, salsa, and some other toppings on the bar I’m sure that things can be shored up by hand if you’re up for making adjustments yourself. I like customizing things a lot for my own tastes so what is provided certainly fits my interests. As far as vegetarian options, I have tried adding fajita veggies to different things to no avail to try and make it more viable. But that’s a battle I fight on my own so I don’t expect other people would be trying to make the same type of changes haha. Bottom line: I always like places that have chips to grab and a good avocado sauce so if you’re into that sort of thing too, then you’re in luck. There are a good amount of options to choose from and customizations for your food so if some parts do not work, I’m sure you can make it work for you since everyone’s palette is different after all.

Stopped in for Taco Tuesday and was happy I did. Great $ 1.00 tacos and the place was clean and roomy. The girls working were very friendly and attentive too. I will be back!

This place is pretty good! Being from Sonoma County, where there are seemingly good taco/burrito joints on every block, I’ve been generally disappointed with my options in the Sacramento area. I base my review on their burritos; pollo and carne asada thus far. They’re tasty, not just a tortilla filled with rice, refried beans and dry, flavorless meat. My only complaint is that they’re very juicy and you won’t be able to pick them up. Not such a bad thing. They are also wrapped in so much foil that I think they’d survive re-entry through the Earth’s atmosphere… Restaurant is clean and pleasant, which is a nice bonus for Folsom Blvd.

Best burritos around! Very nice environment. Awesome Spanish music playing all the time, nice paintings on the walls, and very friendly staff. I wouldn’t recommend the quesadillas as they’re really small, but the Regular and Super Burritos are excellent. The cashier Angelica is really cool too.

First time here… Was on a random taco hunt. Happened to be A Tuesday. The prices are good. A dollar &9 cents. I had some tripa. &chorizo. The chorizo was good. The tripa was probably some of the worst I’ve ever had. Wouldn’t get it again. My girlfriend has el pastor and she really likes it. The foods okay, the place is nice the prices are good. If you’re hungry and on a budget, on a Tuesday night this is the spot!

I’ve driven by this place a million times, but never thought to stop inside until today. Wasn’t really expecting anything too great, but I thought hey, why not give it a try. In terms of décor it isn’t anything special; small tables and a few TVs and pictures on the walls. It is, however, very clean and neat, bringing recently washed floors to mind. The wall menu was actually large enough for me to read without my glasses!(which is almost never the case). I ordered two tacos: a regular carnitas and a super carne asada to go. By the time I got to eat them, they looked pretty ordinary, but were surprisingly delicious! The meat(especially the carnitas) was very good and well seasoned. I only had those two, and I really wish I had gotten more because they were so good! Will definitely try again.

The place is clean, the food is good. I had the aside burrito. I’m not a fan of beans and I always forget to tell tell them«no Beans». I picked it out and it was fine. The prices are pretty good and they serve beer.

I really used to like this place and I guess I still do to a degree. Last month I would have rated it higher but had a couple of bad experiences the last few times here. Ordered nachos and they were slopped with too much wet(sour cream, guac and poco de gallo.) they were almost inedible. They are always out of fries for the items that come with fries. Tonight, the soda machine had no fizz and all options were flat. I asked if they could fix it and they continued without looking at it. I finally switched out to water and got refunded. Knowing that it was flat and tasted horrible, you would think they would not sell more soft drinks to the next customers. Nope, they kept selling them anyway. Might be time to go back to my original Tacqueria.

Horrible. I used to come for Carne asada fries. Today the girl said she doesn’t have it. My girlfriend was getting chips at the salsa bar. I was clearly thinking of what I wanna buy. The young girl said«um I are you gonna order because I can’t have you take chips unless you buy something.» I used to come all the time, and this new girl has no sense of customer service and is rude as hell. Not coming here again. I gave tons of my money, getting almost 3 cards of stamps. Wow.

This place is so yummy. My boyfriend and I come here all the time. The food is delicious and authentic and the service is lightning fast. We’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for our food. Once our food got to us before we even sat down(but it’s all super fresh). The place is spacious and open with a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great time!

Solid Mexican food, but their seating sucks!!! That aside, the food more than makes up for it, I knew I was in for something good when I walk in and I see what could have been my abuela hand pressing tortillas and throwing on a hot griddle. I had their Posole, and while it was not as good as my mother’s, it was REALLY good. Their al pastor is delicious here as well. This spot never disappoints.

I stumbled upon this place looking for another place. This place is pretty clean, their salsa bar looks fresh and clean. What caught my attention was their salsa, it’s more like restaurant style than your normal taqueria. Chips are fresh also. I ordered a beef burrito and it was great. I returned o taco Tuesday, the downside the beef tacos are not part of the special. It’s ok though, the chicken and pork tacos were good. Only four star because I haven’t tried other items on the menu. However, you should try it yourself. You may have different taste than I do.

I discovered this Mexican restaurant while in the neighborhood visiting my parents. After a hard day of working on the house I grew up in, we were starving and couldn’t decide what kind of food we were hungry for. Using my Unilocal app, I scrolled through several places nearby. It was a Sunday, so many were already closed for the evening. After almost giving up, I came upon El Favorito Taqueria on Folsom Blvd. which was open late! Unfortunately the locator map was not very helpful, but it appeared close by.(It seems there is another El Favorito in the same vicinity). My boyfriend and my dad gave conflicting directions thinking they knew where it was. We drove up and down Folsom Blvd trying to find address numbers on buildings in hopes of giving us a clue as to which direction was the correct one. Why is it so hard for businesses to display their numerical addresses? Fortunately between the three of us looking closely along the street, it was(of course), in a small strip mall that we have passed by hundreds of times and right there in its obvious location. My dad even realized that he gets his hair cut next door to them! On to the food! When we entered the restaurant, I noticed it was clean, open and spacious with lots of seating areas and two flat screen TV’s. The order counter was inviting with a well lit wall menu that offered all of the Mexican favorites that you would expect from a quality Taqueria. The employees were very nice and helpful in taking our orders. My parents can’t handle spicy food and my boyfriend has to eat a low sodium diet, so the cooks easily made the food to our specifications. My dad had the shrimp fajitas platillo, my mom and I had chile relleno dinners, and Joe K. had the Torta Al Pastor. Everyone enjoyed their meals, which says a lot when you have parents who are picky eaters! Joe K. thought the Al Pastor really met his craving standards! Now that we confidently know where this place is, we can visit them more often without the fear of getting lost or suffer a malady known as «directional flip»(which sadly runs in my family)!

El Favorito Taqueria recently opened near Watt Ave & Folsom Blvd next to La Bou. So far so good. I ate here twice and both times and I ordered the asada jumbo burrito. Their burritos have great flavor and the best part they are messy. There is a salsa bar with about 3 different kinds salsas, peppers, and complimentary chips. The menu consists of burritos, tacos, tortas, and plates. They have lunch specials written on a sign near the cashier. Eventually I will try other dishes. Two different ladies checked on us to make sure everything was ok with our meal and if we needed anything else.

Sorry to pop everyone’s balloons, but I didn’t have the greatest time here. Asked for wet veggie burrito, minus cheese and sour cream. The cashier kept asking me over and over if I said no cheese, and I kept repeating no cheese at all, pretty please, both inside and outside of the burrito. Of course there was queso all over the dang burrito! I’m usually not so bitchy about this, but her attitude was horrible during the whole exchange. I should have walked out, but I was hungry. Looked in the bag, and the styrofoam was disfigured from its ride in the microwave. Big sigh. Is it that hard to keep red sauce heated up? Not really, unless you’re hurting for customers at 6pm. Even the chips were a stale, crumbly mess before reaching my mouth. I’m a firm believer in signs, and that’s mine to never bother again…

I just stopped by with a friend and had a great lunch! I got the jumbo burrito with crane asada and 2 tacos. The meat was moist and juicy and the tacos were the best I’ve had in a long time! I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m craving Mexican food!

It’s never a great sign when you pass by a restaurant around dinner time, and NOONE is in there. It turns out that in this case, it’s just a shame, not an indication of the food quality. According to the folks working here, this place has only been open for two weeks or so. It’s just my hope that people just haven’t heard about it, because there was a lot of empty space in there. Heck, there was a lot of empty space in my stomach when I got here, and that went away, so maybe the tables will fill up too. In terms of the food selection, I don’t think anyone will be shocked by the selection. Tacos, burritos, tamales, some seafood… nothing unexpected. But the quality of the food is there. The meat is well-seasoned and you get a LOT of it in a burrito. One of my more common complaints with a burrito is all of the filler you get. Too much lettuce, too much rice or something to that effect. Not here. Chock-full of tasty meat! The pork was a little fattier than I like, but it was forgivable. The burrito itself was likely one of the largest I’ve ever seen. I simply could not eat the whole thing, which is a rarity. In fact, you could probably feed two folks pretty easily with one jumbo burrito. It’s worth a try, for sure. I know I’ll be back!
