David came over to give a free estimate. He took his time to explain to us about the engineered wood floor that we have, its surface type, thickness, etc. and explained that polishing wouldn’t work on this type of hardwood floor. He then provided some options along with quotes, to either resurface it, or change the entire floor. This is when another contractor had offered to «polish» it for a few hundred dollars and we were about to get that service. Glad David told us the facts, honestly, without charging trying to push us into purchasing any of the services he provides.

David was honest, prompt, professional! He and his crew did a great job refinishing our hardwood floors. The quote he gave was a little higher than the others we got, but he’s worth it. Easy to work with and they were there when they said they would be.

DC Floors are the best. I will use them again and would recommend them to my best friends. These guys are genuine hard workers who are honest and take pride in their work. I had a horrible situation where a long-​term tenant had a cat pee on the carpet. When I pulled it up it wreaked of urine, and worse the original wood floors were severely damaged in several rooms. In addition there were places where water had damaged the floors all the way to the raw, now warped wood. The bathroom was horrible too. There was mold on the edges of the bottom of the outside of the tub, so I pulled up the linoleum to see the condition of the subfloor and I could see it was a disaster. DC Floors to the rescue. They did an amazing job of repairing the damaged wood and refinishing it so that it looks not only beautiful and brand new, but absolutely no trace of the back spots left by the cat pee, and NO urine smell now. The bathroom subfloor was completely replaced and the area by the toilet was so bad they had to get down to the beams. David kept me informed at every step. Sent me photos, I would go and look and every day I saw their work and how they were doing it the right way and not just throwing the job together.

We had engineered hard wood floors in our house that were extensively stained from the previous owner. We had a very thin layer that could be sanded. David and his crew were able to come in and sand, stain and refinish our floors. They look absolutely stunning! It’s like having brand new floors and I couldn’t be happier with the results. David was a pleasure to work with, very professional and an obvious expert in his field. He offered his opinion on changing the stair risers and trim and had a good feel for what style I preferred. I would highly recommend them for any project. I am hoping to use them again on future renovations in our house.

I was pleased with their service and quality of work. Our primary contact was David, who conducted the walk through for the estimate and then supported the construction.
The work consisted of a complete gut and reconstruction of our hall bathroom, installing all interior doors, with baseboard and trim, as well as constructing a pantry.
Ricardo, the foreman, had some good ideas for improvements to the finished product. They completed the work in accordance with their schedule and also worked around some faulty door materials (purchased from a different source).
The one area for improvement would be to more accurately communicate work hours. They were late a few times; I expected them at 8 am, but they were purchasing materials for the project and didn’t arrive until later. No big deal, but I would have liked to have known.
Value for the price and quality was excellent. I recommend them and would seek them for future home improvements.

We bought a house that had old brown carpet and yellowing vinyl. Mark and David worked with us throughout the process. Through their contacts we were able to get Garrison II hardwood and Emser porcelain tile at excellent prices. The quality is far superior to anything else we looked at. They took our ideas and made expert suggestions that produced a great outcome. Great Work !!! Royal and his crew at DC Floors were excellent, straight forward fair price, nice people…

I phoned the company for an estimate to install laminate floors and spoke with Royal. My conversation with him was very pleasant as he took down my information. I was surprised he said he could probably get an estimator out the next day, and he would call back to confirm the time.
After about 20 minutes, Royal phoned back and confirmed the time, then he asked what kind of materials I’d like to use. I told him that I had already purchased the flooring from a supplier and was just needing someone to install it. He then asked where i purchased it, and I told him from Lumber Liquidators. He said they will not install products from Lumber Liquidators, as they as a 60-​Minutes special regarding their products and the processes they use. I was really shocked that they won’t install Lumber Liquidators flooring.
I believe this is just a revenue generating ploy to buy the material from them, so they can mark it up and make a profit.

I contacted Mark and DC Floors & General Construction and chose them after several estimates with other companies. Mark was easy to talk with and gave me a fair estimate which included the moving and putting back of all the furniture, that was a hugh help. I had them install a new hardwood floor in my bedroom with cedar in the closet and refinish an old floor in my kitchen and eating area. Sam was the boss of these jobs and had a fantastic crew to work with him to complete these projects. I can’t say enough about the fantastic jobs done and how beautiful my bedroom floors looks and Sam and his guys payed attention to detail. My kitchen floor was in bad shape and I was amazed at how new and perfect it looked when they were finished. I will enjoy my new floors for years to come and I would refer DC Floors to anyone who is thinking of installing hardwood floors. I am very pleased and they are truly experts at their jobs.

We recently bought an older home. Saw the reviews on Unilocal and decided to give DC floor a try. So happy we did! Our home looks beautiful. Jimmy and Jose did all the wall building, painting, trim, etc. They were kind, worked hard, and were extremely knowledgable. Then David and Jorge came to put the floors in and the result was wonderful. And very important to us, David got us in and completed before thanksgiving, as promised. I would highly recommend this company.

I wanted my two bathrooms remodeled and happened to see David’s van on the freeway advertising remodeling services. The Unilocal reviews were positive, so I called him to come out and discuss my plans. He and his crew did a fantastic job of remodeling my master bath which included expanding the overall space, installing new tile flooring, new shower tile, recessed lighting and a new vanity. In the guest bathroom they installed new tile flooring, a new vanity and a new bathtub and plumbing fixtures with new tile enclosure. His fees are very reasonable and most importantly the work was done exactly as I wanted. He and his crew are very professional and friendly and do outstanding work with an eye for detail. I would highly recommend DC Floors to anyone who is thinking of remodeling or installing new flooring.

I had ordered hardwood flooring and installation from a floor store. The installer arrived are realized he was unable to install it due to the condition of the sub-​floor. I was in a panic and needed the flooring done ASAP. I happened to find DC Floors on Unilocal.David came out and confirmed he was able to correct the problem and do the install. Time was limited but his crew got started right away and got it done. It looks great and was completed on time.
