We offer evaluations, therapy, and parent training sessions at our clinic as well as in-​home. Our state-​of-​the-​art office includes high-​definition video feedback capabilities as well as a family friendly setting. We offer a variety of services for children of all ages with a focus on the importance of early intervention as well as parent and caregiver participation in speech sessions.

Our early intervention sessions offer individual therapy for children under the age of three years as well as parent training on language facilitation techniques. We are an authorized vendor for the Alta California Regional Center. Our after school groups offer extra help with your school age child’s IEP (Individualized Education Plan) goals in the areas of speech, language, and social skills.

History

Established in 2007.

Cook Speech and Language, Inc. is a full service private practice that offers speech and language therapy in both the clinic and in-​home settings. Holly Cook is the co-​owner and Clinical Director for the practice. Brien Cook is another co-​owner and the Chief Financial Officer. We employ a team of licensed speech-​language pathologists who work in the home and clinic settings. Our private clinic is conveniently located in North Natomas, about 1-​mile East of Sleep Train Arena.

Meet the Business Owner

Holly C.

Business Owner

Holly Cook is the CEO and Clinical Director. She received her undergraduate degree in Communications and Business from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Holly has over thirteen years of experience in the field of communication disorders.

Holly holds a Clinical Certificate of Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). This certification involves a supervised clinical fellowship year and passing a national examination. Holly is also a Hanen Certified Speech Pathologist and includes these training techniques to parents of her clinical practice. Holly has presented at ASHA conventions on topics such as child language development and insurance advocacy for stuttering.

Holly is also a faculty member at California State University, Sacramento dept. of Speech Pathology and Audiology providing clinical supervision for graduate students at the Maryjane Rees Speech and Hearing Clinic.
