Caring Pet Crematory

I’m really grateful that by the time of our scheduled appointment at this crematory my husband and I had the weekend to console each other and truly begin the mourning process.
4 days earlier we released our beloved puppy girl of 14+ years, Sissy. She had been showing me for a few months that she was truly tiring and nearing the end of her earthbound journey yet on this past Friday I knew it was time and so did she…
It happens so fast you know and there truly isn’t any way to prepare yourself for the fact that one day the creature whose been with you for more years, been eternally loyal, loving and a constant source of friendship, support and companionship then the majority of humans have, won’t be physically around anymore.
Just like I will be when my time comes to leave this plane of existence so will be each one of our treasured companions also be; cremated and reduced to ashes verses being laid to rest in our current physical forms in the earth.
It had been 6 years since I had been faced with the need to locate a crematory facility for the passing of one of my beloveds; Auggie the Cat who lived his entire 15 years of life with me.
So it was the first action I took this past Friday evening after the horrifically botched procedure we received from Mercy Pet Hospital moments before that would finally release Sissy from her suffering. Originally we had paid and arranged to leave Sissy with Mercy Pet who would then make the arrangements for her cremation but after the negligent, arrogant and inhumane actions of the veterinarian we & Sissy experienced, decided we’d take our girls body back home with us and make the crematory arrangements ourself.
Leaving with her on that night was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made now looking back. I located Caring Pet as well as another business offering this service using the Unilocal app on our drive back home and after reading All the reviews of both businesses I decided to lead with Caring Pet.
Although distraught, I phoned after hours and reached the answering service, explained our needs as best able and was immediately transferred to Alex the On-​Call Manager. I can’t even recall what I said to him due to the grief and shock of the situation but did manage to schedule Sissy’s appointment for the following Monday morning.
Although they do offer «emergency/​urgent» crematory services I didn’t feel the need to do that as my primary concern was ceasing any suffering our fur baby was in and knew already how to safely hold her until Monday. I can’t say enough how doing that aided me and her dad in grieving…
The office on Monday morning was peaceful and quiet and we were welcomed calmly by Alex. The process from there went very smoothly & strangely we both felt comfortable just being there. We chose a private witness cremation which allowed us to be with Sissy from beginning to the end each and every step of the way as I just couldn’t seem to find peace unless I could see with my own eyes that Sissy would be cremated alone verses a community cremation and know for myself that we would be returning home with her ashes.
We were allowed without having to ask, all the quiet and private alone time we needed during the entire process. This was for me; priceless as the vibe was so peaceful and serene…
I can honestly say that I don’t have anything I wish was done differently or handled better by this company and for me that’s saying a hell of a lot. From first call to walking out their front door today I’m extremely satisfied. I’ve attached a fee schedule to this review & will let that address their costs which in my personal consumer experiences are unbelievably affordable and below market in price.
I can breathe a lot deeper now that it’s all over. As my own way of honoring her life and keeping her memory close to me, I clipped a few strands of a trailing vine which grows in front of this business & in the days that follow will be planting them along with just some of her ashes here at home with her family…

I have bumped up my review solely because the owner, Craig, had personally taken his time to reach out to me to make things right.
He had contacted me through Unilocal sending his sincere apologies regarding the experience I had encountered this past weekend. He has offered me a free urn which I thought was very nice as urns are not cheap. I decided on one, but asked him a question. He had kindly ordered both sizes so I can come in person to see what would best fit my wishes and needs.
I thought that was sooo thoughtful of Craig to do that for me. I truly support businesses, especially owners, who will take the time out of their day to make things right. It shows character and pride that Craig wants the best for his customers and understands that this process is difficult for those who have lost a loved one.
Thank you Craig again and I will see you this week to pick up the lovely urn =]

The person that was sent out to us, was extremely professional courteous well informed and caring.
With that said, who’s brilliant idea was it to send a reusable bag reminding me of the time I had to kill my dog, if you really want to charge me $ 300 to light a fire, I’m okay with paying that but please… don’t rub it in my face that you had $ to spare from killing my dog, to get REUSABLE EEFIN BAGS MADE UP TO REMEMBER THE OCCASION!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The owner, Craig, and the manager, Alex, are pet lovers themselves and it shows in the way that they dealt with my family and the loss of our beloved dogs. As others have said, they are very respectful and caring. To say I was distraught would be an understatement. I was a mess, but they made the process very easy. They were very upfront about the costs (which was very reasonable), there was no upselling, and we got our babies’ ashes back quickly. They let us make weekend arrangements on very little notice, too. Thank you Caring Pet.

What a compassionate and caring company. I lost my best friend, Kona, after 12 wonderful and amazing years. Alex, Craig and his Son were so kind and accommodating to all of my requests and I can’t thank them enough. They made a heartbreaking situation a little easier as I knew Kona was in good hands and treated with dignity and respect. Losing a loved one is so hard but I thank them for helping me through the loss. I look forward to the Rainbow Bridge when I will again see my special companion run to me and we cross the bridge together. Thank you Caring Pet for your kindness and understanding. Give Abbey a kiss for me:):)

Alex was very kind and caring with our beloved Miles today. The care he used when picking up our poor little guy was tremendous. Hard to write at this time. Miles was ten and we loved him so much. We know he is in good hands.

Our family pet, 8 year old Mia got hit by a car last month. Was seriously one of the worst days of my life. Caring Pet Crematory (Alex) was super professional and comforting during our time of need. The cost (although we would have paid every single penny we had) was very reasonable compared to other places we called. I would recommend this place, to anyone who had to deal with such heartbreak of cremating your pet.

Very fast, and extremely nice people. Alex made this terrible passing much Easier for me to handle, I was able to get everything done that day. Highly recommend for your troubled times

My husband and I lost our 13 year old dog and we were completly broken. Alex let us come down immediately and we were able to take her ashes home within an hour. No other animals were in there like they do at other places, and we only brought our own «little girl» home. Not only that, but it was a lot more affordable here! It was the worst day ever but these kind people helped us endure it.

Reliable and trustworthy staff. Very fast return of ashes.
