Ray helped me get the backseat and back door panels installed on my Crown Victoria that I recently won in a Public Surplus Auction. It was all just bits and pieces. He put in the extra time and effort to fabricate the parts I needed to get everything working right. And didn’t overcharge! He does good honest work, couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks Ray!

I’ve never been disappointed with Car-​Tech. He was able to fix our car when the dealer couldn’t. I was very happy.

My mom took her car there to have the same issue (leaking oil) resolved three times. Eventually, she had to go to the Acura dealership where they got it right the first time and for waaaay less money.
I took my truck in after living in the northeast for three and a half years, to get the undercarriage cleaned of rust and sprayed with protectant. I ended up with «fixed» squeaking breaks and a stollen iPod. Yay! At least my keys were returned to me with a smile. NEVER going back.

Took a sports car into this shop several years ago with a leaky manifold… The vehicle was returned to me with the motor totally fried, and with a rag found inside the valve covers… I had to have the motor rebuilt. I think the owners name was Ray. All I remember is when I picked up the car, Ray could not even tell me what happened and I had to have it towed away. Maybe he has improved over the years but I doubt it. This place is good for oil changes, and tire rotations, and that is about all… Believe me, giving them one star is a stretch for this place… All of the repair shops in this area, are more reliable then this guy. Actually, even the backyard mechanics are more proficient… Larry

Ray has been our mechanic over 20 years, great service, very trustworthy and priced beyond fair. Never had an issue, he makes sure the job is done and completely explains what he did and shows me all the old parts. Never up sells or try to fix issues that don’t need repair. Highly recommended, a true small family shop that goes the extra mile to make you happy and treat you like family.

I can’t add much to the already stellar reviews, but I can say that I 100% trust and adore this place (mainly because of Ray — thank you!!!). My family referred me to him when I moved to the area a few years ago, and they have been using him for something like 20 years. He is hands down the most amazing mechanic I have EVER been lucky enough to find.

Ray (owner) is probably the most intelligent and honest person around. He is very personable when it comes to his customers and has been there for me ever since I moved out here to Sacramento 4 years ago.
I had a very bad experience in buying a car off of Craigslist and ended up finding out from some other mechanic that the amount of damage to the car would be more that what the car is worth. Luckily, I was referred to Ray and his shop by AutoZone on Folsom Blvd. and he took care of me.
He was able to fix everything for a reasonable price. And being a college student, EVERY PENNY COUNTS! I’ve been going to him ever since then and will continue to go to him until I move far far away.
Oil changes, clutch replacement, brakes, engine troubles, you name it he can fix it!
All in all, this is a great place to go for service for your automobile. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs work done on their car, whether it is mechanical, electrical, etc.

Ray was awesome. He matched my estimate from the dealer even though he was telling me later that they low-​balled me and he had to send someone out for my part. He didn’t argue, was just letting me know that he stood by the estimate given to me by his family member, but wanted me to be aware of the hyundai dealer’s shenanigans (I know). I told him I’d founf him on Unilocal and he said he «doesn’t look at those internet things,» but I thought he should know about all the favorable reviews. He showed me some old paperwork from years ago when his shop was in the Sac Magazine building. He’s been a mechanic on that same stretch of road for over 25 years.
They were able to fit me in immediately when my car was stuck down the street at the Tupelo parking lot since the issue, as most car problems are, was unexpected. I signed an ok on the estimate, called back an hour later to see if they’d looked at the car, and was told they were done and it was ready to be picked up. Didn’t even get to finish my caramel sage latte.
I’ll be back. My car is only 3 years old, so I haven’t had many problems, but I know where to go if I ever do. They also have a used car lot with some sweet rides. There is big red sign that says something about used cars that’s visible from the street. I saw Mustangs, Dodge Chargers, and other shiny things that look too cool for me to drive. Thanks, Ray!

I couldn’t be happier with my service. Ray was recommended by another longtime customer and I decided to give them a try.
My car needed the timing belt and three V belts replaced, new struts, and an oil change too. He quoted me a price over the phone for parts and labor and I dropped the car off that night after work. The next morning around 11:30 I called to see how they were getting along and was told the work was already finished! Fantastic.
I came by after work again to pick up the vehicle and had an experience that has made me a lifetime customer. As he was totaling up my bill, Ray noticed that he had neglected to do the oil change I requested. He could have left me in the dark about it; how would I have known? But he insisted he would do it, led me into his waiting room, brought the floor heater over to me, gave me a magazine and a cookie, and said he would be done in 15 minutes. True to his word, he retrieved me 15 minutes later, even offering the magazine I was reading to take home. He upgraded me to synthetic blend oil at no extra charge and didn’t charge me labor for the oil change since he had forgotten about it.
It’s very rare in today’s world to find a businessman that cares about his customers and has pride in the work he performs for them. It would have been easy for him to not say anything and I would have just assumed the work had been done but he knew he hadn’t done it and that wasn’t good enough for him. He is a man of honor.

I trust Ray. He is not just an A-​1 mechanic, but he is honest too. There have been so many times that I have taken my car in for some problem or other, and he has simply looked at it, tweaked it a bit, and not charged me for it. When he has done work on my car, he invited me in to see what the problem was, told me in advance what he was going to do, and then did it. And very nicely too.
I think he might be a wizard or something – he’s that good – but I do know that he is a great, friendly, and very trustworthy mechanic. Highly recommended.

I was recently stranded while driving on my way to work. I called them as they were close and another shop had recommended them. I was pleasantly surprised. They knew what it was, fixed it, and had it out by five. Lately I have been having some new issues. I brought it there a few times and they didn’t even charge me to take a quick look, where many other mechanics have. It has been acting up, but of course always stops when I bring it to them. They have been so nice and never try to charge me for something I don’t need. Yes, it’s true, I have only been there a few times, but I have never had better service.
