Nice guys, great price. Advertised on Craigslist, and I just came by and got it. Not too much to it. Legit!

We were in and out, people that work there were nice. Ghetto ghetto customers tho. I think you can get a bunch of the items in there for brand new instead of buying them from a pawn shop. They had a PSVITA for $ 120 and brand new you can get it for $ 40 more… I’d rather have the assurance and pay $ 40 more. The Nintendo ds games were basically what you would pay at game stop so not worth it. Maybe kid you were going for rings or guitars it would be nice.

Ehhhh it’s decent. The place smells like weed which I guess has to do with the people but it’s still unpleasant. They have some decent guitars and the line is a decent pace, but the customer service is eh as well.

I had some stereo equipment I needed to get rid of as I was moving. When I called I spoke to a man who said he was the owner, he said his name was Raheem; either way he was Middle Eastern or East Indian. Said to bring it in & no restrictions, since some pawn shops won’t buy stereo or electronics more than five years old. Not that it mattered the stuff I was bringing in was only two years old. So I get there & some guy is putting up a sign that read No Electronics Manufactured Before 2009, but again that does not apply to me. The counter worker barely glances at the turntable I brought in and said it’s older than 2009. So I tell him it was bought in 2012& he then looks at the back of it. He says 2002. Huh? The manufacturers tag says right on it 2012& I showed it to him. Just then I noticed the receipt was still in the box from when I bought it, so I showed him that. He again says 2002 but I know he did not look at it. As a last resort I told him I spoke to Raheem & Raheem told me there were no restrictions on electronics. The other worker by the back desk who was putting out the sign then says in broken English: There a Sign right There Esse. Funny I am not Hispanic & don’t look it one bit! So I told them again the owner told me otherwise. The guy in the back repeats himself again, & I look back at him & tell him I heard him the first time. He proceeds to tell me No Hablo Engles! I then asked to see Raheem & the guy at the counter tells me he’s never heard of Raheem, while at the same time the idiot in the back said the same thing about the sign for the third time. After that I looked at the idiot in the back and told him to shut up, after which he again replied: No Hablo Engles! I left after that. But there is a catch! The very next day, I had a friend of mine take the same stuff back to this same place. Yet I went with him. The really stupid one who pretended he did not speak English was working the front counter this time. And there was *NO* sign out about electronic restrictions. So my friend can speak Spanish not really fluently but can casually converse. The idiot tells my friend he will give him $ 150 for my equipment, and he takes it. But keep in mind I am standing next to my friend the entire time this is going on! Yup, this employee is so incredibly stupid he did not remember me from the day before! It amazed me he actually knew how to count money since he does not know his rear from a hole in the ground! Seriously these two employees I encountered here have to be two of the dumbest people I have had the misfortune of meeting! And shame on you Raheem if that is your name for hiring such bleeptards! If Capital City Loan & Jewlery is still in business by end of summer it will be a miracle!

I needed some extra cash right away so I loaned a brand new touchscreen windows 8 laptop. I needed a loan, so that means I am eventually going back to pick it back up so if they really did not want to pay me what I was asking for, fine, but there was this mexican guy who tried to make an ass out of me but he just made himself look like the biggest dick/douchebag on the planet. He tried talking down to me about how the computer was out of date. First he said that the processor was an A4 and there is already an A6 out there so it is outdated. Thats like saying a 2014 Honda Civic is outdated because there is a 2014 Honda Accord. Second, the computer is literally brand new, they’re still showing ads about it on tv. And he was laughing like I was ignorant when he was trying to lay this«knowledge» on me. To add to insult he asked who the name was on the computer like I stole it. It was my mom’s name and I have been there before. He said more bullshit but I think that statement adequately describes just how full of crap this guy was. So when you bring your stuff in let them quote a price first because if you don’t douchebags like this will try to penny push you knowing that you need fast cash. I seriously wouldn’t mind him being cheap but the way he did it warranted this review. F.U. mexican guy. And btw I am mexican too so don’t call me a racist. The kid that helped me first though was pleasant so I’m not too mad but seriously… yea. Don’t expect much customer care or service, but if you have some disposable stuff and you need quick cash look no further. Just make sure you are educated on what you’re pawning and know your bare minimum you’re willing to accept as a cash incentive.

I was helped by a young lady that was ok in customer service. One problem I find that almost all stores have in common when dealing with the public is the lack of introducing oneself, no handshake, no name intro. I’m basically dealing with questions and not the person. As I showed my product to the young lady another guy comes up, looks at it and says«we already have a problem». Again lack of introducing oneself so now I’m dealing with 2 questionnaires rather than people. The guy also lacked eye contact. While saying a few words he was looking at some other guy that was bringing out stuff from the back office. Really! First of all please introduce yourself and give a handshake, believe me it goes a long way when a stranger is trying to determine what kind of person he is dealing with. The other thing one must do is have constant eye contact so the customer knows the sales associate is at least trying to show interest in helping them Not interested in dealing with people that lack the simplest people skills or with people that are not interested in building a rapport.

Called before I drove there to make sure they had HANDTOOLS, ie. screwdrivers, ratchets, sockets, sets, anything to do with hand tools to work on your car. I asked if they had these items, Austin, the employee assured me they had all that stuff. I drive there, to find out they had NONE of the items I was seeking. What a complete waste of my time, gas, and just plain irritating that an employee would say thay had these items when in FACT they did not. I will never call them for anything, or go to their location for this very reason. I guess if you want to sell something, then go there, to buy, NOWAY!

This is the first time I’ve visited a typically called«Pawn» shop. I was pleasantly surprised with their level of service. I was assisted by Lisette. I was there to sell some old gold jewelry and dental gold crowns. She walked me through the entire process and explained how they determine value and what paperwork was necessary to complete the transaction. Lisette took her time and was extremely pleasant. Since I had done my research for values, I was satisfied with their payout. I asked about other items I have at home for sale and she explained the entire process. My only other exposure to this type of business was watching«Pawn Stars» on TV. I will recommend this company to all my friends and family requiring their services.
