So i stumbled upon this place while walking on K st. The music sounded different so i ventured in. It so happens that it was themed Afro Caribbean Nites. I guess they do it every 1st and 3 Fridays anyway i had fun the DJs were extremely good. I have never danced to African music but that day i did. it was a mixture of African and reggae music, very nice vibes from the attendees.

Overpriced waste of money. Stick with your friends in your local spot and support your fave divebar, instead.

I went for a friend and I didn’t even want to enter before we got there. She paid for me and went out with me the night before so I went along with it. The other reviews are pretty on point, the people are not my crowd and the bartender was confused about prices because the dj and event page said $ 5 shots but she charged $ 8. The one up-side was Isaiah Thomas randomly coming. I don’t ever plan on coming back and I would say it’s not even worth giving a chance.

This place let me down. There was some private birthday going on tonight and my friend and I felt like we shouldn’t be there. The place was empty even by midnight. One of the bouncers offered my friend and I a free drink if we came back but we never got it and this place just has high expectations but it won’t meet them. I would recommend staying home with your best friend and just chatting it up and drinking,

Not one of my FAvs ugh. No where to sit and it’s helllla ghetto I wouldn’t go to this club if it was free all night along with free drinks. It’s a dirty little hole in the wall.

Ever get the feeling you have been taken advantage of? I went here for new years and was charged $ 75 for 4 glasses of bottom shelf champagne. I believe i was also charged more than anyone else at the door. I had fun with my group that night but i will not be returning.

This place is really just a lounge, a place to hang out with some chill friends. I only come here when my friend is promoting this place but I don’t think she is anymore so that means I wont come back =X P.S They have free hookah(Which I don’t smoke)

So I ended up here b/c Dream, the club I actually wanted to go to, was at capacity. The doorman at Dream said to try Blush, and seeing as how I am new to the area, I figured why not. It was only a $ 3 cover charge for a Sat night, guess that should have told me something. Get inside, it is basically empty. The crowd was majority Asian, couple of white ppl, a few Black males… and that is it. There were a couple of go-go dancers on this little mini-stage. The DJ was mediocre b/c when he did play a good song, it was for all of 30 secs before he mixed it with another song. The drinks were strong, which is about the only plus… even the VIP tables were empty. It basically looked like a place where lame folk come to feel special. I hate to put it that way but it was pretty bad. I was so bored I left by 1am. All in all, I won’t be goin back… even as a last resort. Unless, I want a quiet empty place to talk.

Been here a few times for Malibu Thursdays and had fun each time. The staff is friendly and the promoters and DJs(resident DJs — BADD Influence) are great! The place has a good vibe and the size of the crowd makes it easy to mingle, dance, sit when you’re tired(or drunk) and allows you to have an overall good time. Parking is convenient(parking garage) and they have an outdoor seating area(so nice when it gets hot inside).

This past weekend my buddy and I hit up K street for some late night clubin scene. We were walking down K towards the end of our night, and then all of a sudden a guy hollered at us with some sales pitch to come in to his club. We were hesitant because of him yelling at us to come in. But, when he said there wasn’t a cover, we were game. We proceeded toward him and the front door. As we got closer he told us we were going to be pat down. ‘Pat Down?” I asked. He said, «yeah, its policy.» No other place on K street that I know of does this, but oh well. My buddy was heading in the door while I was still getting pat down, he looked back at me with a puzzling look on his face. I walked in, and to my surprise, no body was there. Well there were probably about 20 people. It was Ghetto to, but a good Ghetto which reminded me of my college town of Chico. Brought back wild memories. There was a DJ in the corner spinning the beats, and pretty hot petite go-go Dancer that was shaking her booty. Other than that the place seemed kind of dull. A few small groups of people got up to dance. The beers weren’t that expensive. I’ve heard this place is hit or miss as far as the amount of people go. But on this day, a Friday, it was dead. Better luck next time.

Place was dead when we went on a Friday night around midnight or so. There was NO cover that night. The go-go dancers were the first that I saw when I stepped in, and then I understood why. There was like no one there at that time so naturally I saw straight into the small club and the stage where the girls were dancing. The music selection was the best thing about the club. All hip hop with some pretty good remixes. The dance floor was spacious because there were barely under 20 people there. Props to the bartender for mixing a special drink for us when we gave her the recipe.

2 months ago me and my boy passed by this establishment with hella pretty girls in line to go to Park Ultra Lounge at the end of that night I said«Bruh. We F*@#‘d up, we should have hit up Blush». With that said, I finally hit up Blush last night for the first time. If u love to hit up a cool little HOOD spot where they play nothing but hip-hop this is the spot for u. It was $ 15 to get in & a pretty small venue but, I was very entertained. Pretty ladies all around and the DJ was from my hood(Vallejo) so he was playing the SLAPS all night. I even put on a Dougie /Cat Daddy clinic and somehow I ended up in the small VIP spot and got free drinks lol. But yea it was a solid night tho.

My friends and I arrived at 12:45, no line and the dude at the door told us we couldn’t get in because they’re at capacity. Five beautiful woman and they said no? Then behold they let this young couple in as we were asking why? F*** your capacity sh*t this isn’t LA! And I sure as hell am not ugly nor my friends so you can’t pull that NYC sh*t. Then the bouncer proceeded to tell me to leave«you’re not getting in» I was trying to let my guy know what I was doing and he was trying to act like a tough guy. Seriously? I’m a woman one and if you wanted to prove a point yo I’m ready to throw down! Bad service, your venue will not get my business or my friends and that will be my first and last time there! Oops even though I didn’t make it in! I’ll give my business to the other venues thanks.

The place is tiny. When you walk in, the small room you see is it. I went on Saturday(hip-hop night) and it wasn’t very crowed, which meant there was enough room to dance. The DJ was alright, it seemed like he brought half the people there. One of the club owners was ominously watching everyone from the side of the bar(that was weird). Thankfully, for one of the bartenders. He poured stiff drinks. But too bad, the owner sent him home early and the other female bartenders poured weak watered down drinks, and tried to give well liquor when I asked for top shelf. Visually, it’s a very cute venue and could be a fun night if you go in a big group and pretend you’re having a private party and aren’t looking for strong drinks.

Recently they added Latin Night called Tequila Rox. They brought in two latin rock bands. Nice place overall. But, these bouncers are on some kind of POWERTRIP. Come on Blush, teach your employees some basic customer service skills.

Blush is a very nice looking Lounge in a prime location(just across from the IMAX Theater). Their hookah & drink specials are affordable, the lighting and décor are crisp, and their in-house QSC sound is absolutely pounding. The elevated DJ booth and Go-Go Dancers are a definite plus. The only gripe I have with the location is the parking situation, which can get a bit ridiculous if you’re looking to park on the street. Luckily, Blush will validate you if you park in the Hyatt parking structure(which is conveniently located just above the Lounge).

Very small venue, nicely decorated. The reason why I am giving it 2 stars is because they advertised free hookah, free food, $ 5 drink specials that included Grey Goose, Patron, and Hennessey for 9−11pm for Dec 26th. The D. J showed up an hour late so they didn’t let anyone in until a little after 10pm, there was no hookah or food present. The drinks were watered down and they didn’t extend the extra hour of drink specials. 1⁄3 of the club knew the D. J and didnt have to follow the dress code. Blush has a nice location and has major potential, if they were to follow through on their word and become a little more presentable this place can be one of Sac’s hot spots. oh yeah Blush did come through on one aspect, it was free cover all night.

Formerly Cabana lounge, Blush Ultra Lounge is at the heart of downtown. The place is clean, and the happy hour is killer but it lacks space. The events there are well advertised and well worth going on Saturdays. Fridays not so much! Bartenders make your drinks fairly well. 3 stars because opening night, the girls bathroom was not working so we all went to the mens bathroom. It did not go so well but we had a lot of fun!
