History
Established in 1962.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America was founded in 1904 and the local Sacramento Chapter was founded in 1962. From January of 2006 to September of 2012, the Greater Sacramento Chapter has matched 1206 children with a Big Brother (BB) or Big Sister (BS). Across the country, there are over 345 Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters. The national agency provides standardization of direct services and national visibility.
