Big Box Outlet Store

I think my expectations were too high. Sort of a jumbled mess to navigate. I didn’t find anything worth my while but a place like this would be a hit or miss.

Used to love coming here and to their old location. The prices used to be great. However being someone who has both a Costco and SAMs club card I don’t see how most anything here is intact a deal. Sometimes they do have that one day bargain but it’s few and far between. Plus their return policy is not assuring as there is no way to test items there. 2 stars for the friendly staff and one day deals but I don’t think we will be back anytime soon.

Great products and deals! Very poor customer service. I wouldn’t ever try to return anything you bought here because they will make a HUGE fuss about it. Both female managers I’ve encountered had attitudes and we’re not willing to help me when I had an issue. Bottom line if you wanna buy something don’t bother asking for help or for a return, you won’t get it.

I actually have enjoyed shopping here a few times before. No complaints until now. The store is open until 7pm. It says so on the front door and on Unilocal.I got there at 6:45pm and they said that I cannot go in because they are closed. I don’t know what kind of place refuses customers just because their employees want to get out of work early. If that’s the case then you just lost my business and I hope you get better employees. Unless that’s just the type of business you’re running then I really hope you get your act together. Very disappointed in big box tonight.

I love this store but I also like to thrift shop so sifting through the items are not ra big deal for me. I purchased a $ 30 tower fan for $ 17, Adidas flip flops for $ 13, cargo shorts for $ 8. Area rugs are good quality and 5×7 rugs are about $ 70, that’s cheap!
Imagine the clearance areas inside SAMs Club and Costco, how some items aren’t boxed, items shrink wrapped, etc. now imagine those areas a small store full of that stuff. There are great deals. If you want a more organized store than I would expect prices go up due to the fact that they need to hire more folks just to make it look nice. I prefer the cheaper prices.

Stopped by today to see what it was like. Very disorganized and mainly damaged items or returns. I compared the prices of some items I would buy at Costco and really not much if any savings. Stick to Costco and get unused or fully working items with a return policy. Gave it an extra star because I guess you could save some money if you are willing to compromise on quality and return policy.

This store was a joke. Yes, they do have a bit of Costco stuff but not worth the drive. You can buy it cheaper at Costco. This stuff is mostly trashed. The other items are off brand and double the price of Walmart without the quality.

There are deals to be found. There are also items that are priced higher than retail. I grabbed a few things last time I was in. Two identical items were priced differently. They honored the lower price for both. I thought that was nice of them. I’ll be back.

I just moved to California and needed a few things. Great stuff great prices. I got a sofa bed for under $ 230 and the inventory is always changing.

I love The Box Store Outlet best deals ever!!! Fair return policys very good courteous customer service. Found so many deals less than half price real prices from other retailers.

Maybe my expectations were too high?! I wanted to love this store. I am a pretty good shopper but, I didn’t see any outstanding deals. Infact, they had some pj sets from Target for $ 12. I bought the same ones at x-​mas time for $ 10. I did find one good deal, organic kirkland soy milk (quart) for .89. Glad I went once but not worth my time to drive there. Another positive, the staff was very friendly.

I love this store. I always find what I’m looking for. And i love their prices. It’s everything you need at the right price

I heard some pretty cool things about this place. Great deals, great brands, overstock from stores in the area, etc. Sounds perfect for me! So when I was in the area I decided to check it out. Ekkk… not really what I expected.
First of all it’s a lot smaller than I envisioned. I thought it was going to be the size of Costco or Sam’s club. Especially since they really do sell everything. I was wrong. It’s more like the size of a dollar store. It’s in a warehouse type building and no real signage, just one right before you pass the driveway to tell you it’s even there. Only half of the store is open to the public filled with everything imaginable clothes, shoes, TV’s, furniture, expired food, pet stuff, etc. The rest of the store is restricted to staff only.
If you don’t get overwhelmed with these types of places then you could find some good deals. I found some new Brooks running shoes for $ 45, regular $ 120 but they only had two pairs and luckily they were my size. So I guess it’s just hit or miss kind of stop.
The store overall is a mess. You can not have two people with carts in the aisle at one time. We had to back our cart out just to let someone pass. So maybe it’s best to not shop in that store with a cart.
The bathroom area is GROSS! I just came from the gym and wanted to wash my hands (should have done it at the gym)! There is one bathroom in the back corner of the store. There was toilet paper outside of the bathroom on the floor where people shop!!! I tip toed by and bravely opened the door and saw toilet paper covering the toilet seat, toilet paper all of the restroom floor and empty toilet rolls around the dispenser (basically there was no toilet paper to use since all of it was around the seat and on the floor). I immediately closed the door in disgust. This was on a Sunday around noon. How the heck did it get so filthy???
They do offer 5% off if you check in on facebook. I asked if Unilocal counted and the women at the cashier said no only facebook. Boo to that!
Anyways… this place has potential but they definitely need to clean it up a bit.

I shop at big box all the time. Well let me clarify I probably won’t be back. Last time I shopped at big box I bought an item and in 24 hours the item went on sale on FB and was about 15.00 cheaper. I called to ask if they would do a price adjustment since I literally bought the item within 24 hours and they refused… Seems like a rip off to me. Then today I went in and they had two identical cabinets one with legs and a piece of glass missing for 220.00 and another for 299.00 missing the legs and having a scratch on the side. I asked if they could discount the item and the manager Caesar said no. I said well it’s in the same shape as the other one and the other one is cheaper with just about same damage. He again said no. The service is poor and seems like they don’t want to move there items. It is sad because we have BOUGHT a LOT of items from them. Probably won’t be back!!!

WARNING: BUYERS BEWARE!!! They are like a Costco reject store that sells mostly defective and/​or expired products. But if you dont discover the defect before 7 days you’re SOL! No refunds, no exchanges no store credit, no exceptions!!!
There is a 30 day return window for electronics, but only if store approves the reason for return. YEP… ALL TIMELY RETURNS SUBJECT TO STORE APPROVAL.
They will NOT accept returns during 7 (or 30) day return window if you decide unused/​unopened product doesn’t work for you: too big, too small, wrong color, etc, NO EXCEPTIONS! They have to find a malfunction before agreeing to accept return!
Bottom line: stick to Target & Costco!

Ripoff alert! Watch the prices very carefully when they ring you up. We bought 10 Butterfingers at .30 each — they were rung up at .50 each. And a damaged and partially used brownie mix –priced at $ 1.99. They rung us up at $ 6.99. When we brought the items to their attention they admitted their error. But when we asked for the difference of our money back, we were abruptly and rudely asked to leave. Dismissive, rude, offensive, horrific customer service. Avoid.

Followed this store all the way from Elk Grove .
Tonight I stopped by to check out there toys selection, well I ended up buy more stuff than planned :)
The cashier named jesse (going of receipt, I apologize if I’m wrong) was EXTREMELY nice & also told me about 12 days of Christmas sales/​deals :D

If you are a fan of warehouse stores like myself, you know there is one thing that would make it better: a clearance section. Big Box Outlet is essentially that — Warehouse items at a discounted price.
The store sells a variety of quality items, such as furniture, organic foods, high end appliances and electronics and clothing. I was impressed to see leather couches, LCD TVs, washer/​dryers and area rugs. The items are discounted because the packages are either missing pieces, damaged boxes, display models or returned items. If you are willing to dig through some items, you can find great bargains!
I was surprised to see they even had a return policy, since it seems like an «all sales final» kind of place. On my last visit, I saw a section of expired food (canned and dry goods) at a super cheap price. I can’t recall if there was an obvious sign to indicate this, but just make sure you check the expiration dates on the packages BEFORE you buy!
Kid friendly — they sell organic snacks and juice, children’s clothing and toys!
If you don’t mind the broken packages or if its slightly used, stop by Big Box Outlet. I will be checking out this place before I head to Costco!

Our family went to Big Box last Friday 11/​7, my mom got my lil sis a blanket/​throw and other random stuff, once we got home I was like we should like them on fb for their future deals and while I was on your fb page I saw an advertising photo posted on ¹¹⁄₅ stated that «ALL BEDDING is now 25% off! Sale ends 11÷7÷14», we were like ok we just bought the throw and didn’t get the 25% nor anyone informed us, but thinking this is fine, we can just go back and ask them about it later. So I sent my sister to Big Box yesterday 11/​13, with the reciept dated on ¹¹⁄₇ and a photo of this post from your fb. Showed both to the cashier, told him what happened and He was totally fine and apologize, said that he would ask a manager to handle this. So later on a female employee talked to my sis, and actually told her that the posted date was probably a mistake and explained that last Friday supposed to be grand openings deals, not the beddings, etc yada yada, no apology just excuses. We really don’t care what deals u have on that day and we weren’t clarifying, we are actually claiming for something u Posted/​Advertised on your FB post, regardless of what Other promotionsss u were having that time. Well if u posted the wrong info, it’s really not our problem, correct??? Therefore u should still honor it. After my sis heard what she tries to explain instead of looking for an actual solution to fix your own error, she was like Ok whatever, but we all know this is not what u as a company to handle this at best. If I was there, I might fight back for what I think is wrongly done, but for this amount of $ I might as well forget it. Just Glad that the throw we got wasn’t that much, otherwise I would be super pissed for how this was being handled yesterday and turned my sister away. Honestly, I think the best way to do is to just honor what u mistakenly advertised and we really don’t need to know how and why that was an error in your post etc bs, just credit the difference and everyone is happy, be responsible for what u posted, really! Simply because it was a mistake from your end, not ours.
Lesson learned, so people making big purchases should double check before paying, otherwise u probably won’t get credit for the price difference due to the mistake they make.

If you love bargains, this is THE store for you. I LOVE this outlet. Great bargains. Quality items for a very reasonable deals.
On a side note, this is an outlet store, so, stop complaining on the following non-​issues:
Same item, different prices (easy explanation for those of us who worked in retail, it is the same item, but the quantity/​size is not the same).
If you can’t find the same item from last week, that’s YOUR fault, not the store. It’s an outlet store. They do not carry the same exact items all the time… duh!
If you want to return an item, most bargain stores will only accept it if the item is damage.
Anyways, this outlet is organized, stocked well, friendly staff, plenty of safe parking, and bargains galore for everyone! GO!
