We were here this past weekend for the first time while in Sac for a convention. EXCELLENT Thai food. I am very picky when it comes to eating out Thai– I can really tell the difference when things aren’t freshly made or the ingredients are premade or fresh. This place tasted super fresh and really had the whole gamut of flavors that thai is supposed to have. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Sac. There are only 2 other thai places I’ve been to that I can honestly say I feel completely satisfied with, and this makes three.

Really, really good food. I’m eating duck curry and the eggplant dish and both are delicious. Also a good venue for presentations. We hosted a dinner lecture for 15 in the separate room and it went seamlessly. The service was unnoticed(which is great if you’re presenting, believe me) and they had a tv with hdmi cable to hook up my laptop. We stayed well within our modest budget and everyone was happy. Again, really, really good food. Great staff. We will be using this as a venue again in the future.

Came here with a friend on a Wed night. We ordered the Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai Woon Sen, Spring Rolls, and a small order of the Tom Kha. The Pad Thai was a a tad too sweet and the Tom Kha was a tad too sour, BUT, BUT, BUT… everything was still REALLY delicious. Service was impeccable. Our waitress was very sweet and welcoming and even made some recommendations to help with our indecisiveness! I really wanted to try the Pumpkin Curry, so I’ll def be returning at a later date

best Thai you can get(besides in thailand!) So cheap with huge portions. the staff is nice and knowledgable about their menu, and the food amazes me everytime. My personal favorite is the yellow avocado curry with tofu. absolutely amazing!

So good! Loved the ginger tilapia… Crispy and light with thinly sliced ginger in a sweet chili sauce(not your garden variety bottled overly sweet and gooey stuff BTW) had it with a brown rice. Sisters had yellow curry and Thai fried rice with chicken which they kept mmming and ahhing about while they ate! The curry sauce was tasty, coconut milk based and light curry flavor. Wished there was more food, but I’m just a greedy person… Definitely recommend when your downtown!

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in Sacramento. Their portions are large, and their selection of vegetarian dishes is more extensive than other places. I highly recommend Bangkok @ 12!

One of my favorite Thai places in Sacramento and in life! Great customer service and food comes out quickly. My favorite usuals are their chicken pad Thai, chicken yellow curry, tilapia fried rice and Thai tea! Parking is sometimes treacherous but not that bad compared to more crowded pets of down town. And, they have great hours!

Came here for dinner for the first time and surprisingly it was a lot better than I expected. We figured it was close to our hotel and would be fast. Restaurant was clean and elegant and the people who worked there was nice, welcoming, and friendly. I been to other restaurants and have gotten the same the I got here, the rad nar and this is the one at Bangkok @12 I have to say is the best one of all. Most other Thai restaurants have just salt and msg in their food but this restaurant seasoned everything very well. In the end I would come back and would recommend this to other people. The place is more pricey than I expected but filled me up and my family.

Best vegan/vegetarian place west of the Capitol! Although there are meat and egg options, this place is very vegan friendly and does not have fish-sauce in any dish by default anyway, so you won’t be missing out on flavor(always a concern of mine or anyone sharing a dish with me.) I loved their Tom Kha and Green Curry. And I LOVED that their food is actually spicy! Yum. Definitely my go-to place whenever I’m in Sacramento!

Probably the best Thai food downtown I have tried. Not the best I’ve had(it’s 100 miles away) but better than most around the area. Definitely a goto spot for lunch when I need my Thai food/Pad Thai fix. Pad See Ew was also good.

#1 rave is the portion size and the quick delivery of our order. Ordered the papaya salad between mild and medium and it was definitely on the medium side! May have to order it mild next time. But it was the largest Papaya salad I’ve ever had and added extra lime juice to it which made it PERFECT. Dressing was divine. Thai fried rice with chicken was ok. It was on the bland side and was missing a certain flavor I can’t explain. Added the dressing from the papaya salad to it which made it better. The pad Thai is on the sweet side with really thin noodles which I’m not used to. Adding the lime juice to it was a good choice for us. Pad kaprow was delicious with minced chicken. Can’t say I would change a thing about it. The server was super sweet and attentive. Overall, had a great experience and I would definitely come back.

This place gives very good portions. I am not a Thai food fanatic. I had pad thai noodles with beef. The noodles were too mushy, and the beef flavoring was very heavy. Next time, I will try something else. Update: I got very sick with stomach issues within 24 hours after eating here. I was able to eliminate all the places that could have caused the sickness except here. I don’t know what could have caused it, maybe the meat, the dough of the noodles not cooked all the way, or too much ingredients.

Big portions! I came for dinner with a colleague and we shared one entrée, one large soup and one dessert and had leftovers for all of them. *Large Tom Kha: a bit too sour but very flavorful. We ordered it with shrimp and there were quite a few of them. It is very large. We had about 4 – 5 bowls and still had about half a pot left *Pad see ew: a bit too sweet and noodles were overcooked. They were too soft and sticky *Roti with condensed milk and coconut ice cream: The roti was flaky and I wish they had put more condensed milk. The coconut ice cream tasted more like bubble gum although there were some coconut flakes on it. Not my favorite. Nice service and atmosphere and inexpensive for the big portions but have had better.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner here with work peeps while in town for a conference. We were at the Sheraton Grand, which is super duper close. We started with an order of spring rolls while we determined the rest of our dishes. After a quick discussion of dietary needs/preferences two of us took the lead with ordering a «noodle thing,» a «shrimp thing,» a «not-too-spicy curry thing,» and a «veggie thing.» Oh, and some rice. *Veggie Pad Thai — Delicious. Exactly what I expect to get when ordering this at a Thai restaurant. *Orange Shrimp — YUM. Not the healthiest option. Think orange chicken but with shrimp… obviously. *Green Curry w/Chicken — It wasn’t flagged as spicy, but still had a kick. I liked this dish. A lot. *Veggie Hot Plate — This was recommended by our server when we asked what«veggie thing» we should get. It was chock full of fresh veggies and very tasty. Portions were ample and the four us had our fill with some to spare. Total was a reasonable $ 18/person, with a nice tip.

Nice Thai gem nestled in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Serving an array Thai dishes to satisfy your craving. The ambience sets you in a soothing mood. Granted, I visited around 3 on a Friday. I’m sure the downtown lunch rush May give off a different perspective. At any rate, the: * food was very tasty SCORE3.8 out of 5 * price for the lunch special was good $ 9.71 for an L18 — which included veggies, side of soup or salad + brown rice. You can add seafood, pork, beef, tofu or chicken. Now that’s a deal! SCORE4.7 out of 5 * service = okay. The waitress became less attentive after my food came out. I was one of three tables to wait on. SCORE1 out of 5 * speed that food was delivered to table /preparation time was excellent. SCORE5 of 5 Overall, I would visit again and recommend this place.

The food here is delicious and priced nicely. They have a daily lunch special from 11 – 3 and then happy hour drink specials from 3 – 6. I ordered the vegetable curry which was perfect in every way. It came out chock full of perfectly cooked vegetables in a yellow curry. I particularly liked the potatoes mostly because the cut them to look all fancy-like. I also ordered the wonton soup which was also chock full of vegetables, chicken, and the wonton pieces. The broth was also super delicious. I will come back here in a heartbeat for lunch or dinner!

Have been here a few times for both lunch and dinner. Consistently delicious food, quick service, and the lunch specials are really good deals. The décor and vibe inside is very cozy and welcoming without coming off as too cramped. Though it’s downtown, there are 2-hour meters(no time limit after 4pm, free after 6pm!) that make parking a breeze. They also have some decent beer & wine, which is always a welcome addition for all my lush Unilocalers out there. The only downside I’ve discerned so far is that it can get super packed at lunchtime– going early/late, or ordering for pick-up, is totally in your best interests.

I had an Amtrak Layover, and wanted Dinner. Started with a Thai Tea. Absolutely sweet and delicious. Then went with the Pad Thai with chicken. The Tofu through me for a loop. But the Pad Thai was on par with just enough sauce and delicious. The Food comes out awfully fast as well. And the prices are reasonable. They have Wine and Beer on the Menu as well.

This is my go-to Thai restaurant in downtown Sacramento. They do a brisk lunch business and are great for take out. The restaurant has a basic Asian décor with standard furniture. There are two dining rooms which get pretty loud with big crowds, although we rarely eat in the restaurant. The food is very good. We always love the drunken noodles and pad Thai. I am a fan of the pineapple fried rice and kao soi. Recently we have expanded into some of the more exotic curries and other dishes which are also delicious. They are very vegetarian friendly which really helps with group ordering. The menu is very large and expansive, including many different styles and sauces. I have not been impressed with the golden bag or the crab fried rice. My biggest problem is that my favorites are so good, it is tough to try something else! Portions are rather large, and the lunch specials usually include a roll or some other appetizer for takeout instead of soup. The neighborhood is on the edge of downtown and might scare some of the suburban folks, but it is a great value and an excellent option for those in the grid.
