History

Established in 1995.

Doug began his career in photography in 1980 working for the Sacramento Magazine, then did a stint at Coronet Portraits (then one of the biggest school photography providers in Northern California), before beginning to shoot weddings with several other photographers and working for several other local studios. In 1986 he began working exclusively for his own clients. After at move to North Sacramento, he opened a storefront on Del Paso Blvd. and called it Austin’s Uptown Studio. In 2004 he moved to a larger space just down the boulevard and now has the most spacious studio in all of Sacramento.

Business Owner

Graduate of CSUS in 1972 with a degree in Spanish, travelled extensively in Central America. Before one trip and friend lent him a Canon camera with some quick instructions, and he soon found a new calling. Becomming a photographer in 1980, he has worked for several studios, studied with several of the best teachers in the country, and owned his own studio since 1995.
