Artistic Edge Custom Framing & Gallery

I have purchased some wonderful pieces of art from here over the years, and continue to come for custom framing as I always get good service and a beautiful product when it’s done.
David Merkle (formerly at Hellen Jones Gallery) has recently joined the able team of framers.

Artistic Edge is the place to go as both an art lover and an artist. The staff is great and really helpful when I bring a piece in to be framed. I have had many pieces framed there and love how each one uniquely enhances each piece! As an Artist, I love that this is a great place that always supports local artists. I have participated in many Second Saturdays here and happy to have my art here! Great location and they are always changing things up. Their recent remodel looks fantastic! I am sooo glad I found Artistic Edge. They have a beautiful selection of frames. I have a few pieces matted and framed from Artistic Edge and I love them all. The staff there is very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, genuine and authentic. I also have some amazing original art pieces from this gallery. I recommend going to Second Saturdays here. Its always a nice night out. It is a fun thing to do with the family. I always go with my mom. Lots of praise for this local business. You will fall in love with the place and everything in it. And ps did I mention they also have jewelry!

Took two framed prints in to have rematted with new prints. A small job.
They were helpful with suggestions while observing my wish for economy.

I’ve past this place several times while driving down Arden or going to get sushi. I was meeting up some friends for sushi and decided to walk inside and take a look. I really wasn’t expecting to spend any money or time inside but they have so much to offer. I picked up a few frames and other supplies. The staff there is very friendly and knowledgable. They explained the difference between different styles and tools to me. Awesome place.

I took in a 16×20 embroidered picture my mother completed 30 years ago to have it re-​framed. I wanted to keep it similar to the original simple framing which was now falling apart.
The most valued service they gave me was their ability to listen and understand what I wanted. Other frames would have probably made it more spectacular but she understood how important it was for me to keep it as my mother had created it. A spacer had to be added to keep the art away from the glass and she watched as I tried the different colors she offered. When I favored one she helped me see what it would look like and it compliments the work beautifully.
They put a pocket on the back to hold the picture postcard which my mother used to create her rendition of the famous painting. The total cost was $ 251.81 and took about 2 weeks.
The result was wonderful. It looks very similar to the original but with the museum glass (yes, it’s worth it) the colors in the art just pop out at you. My daughter-​in-​law thought I had removed the glass when she walked by it.
It is now ready to be safely passed down to future generations. Next I will take in my mother’s watercolor to be re-​framed.

I had them frame 3 oil paintings. JP gave good advice. I’m happy with the result and the pricing. VERY REASONABLE compared to other shops.

I brought 3 paintings home from Uganda, on different types of canvas. Together, we picked the best frames for each painting. They used different techniques to stretch each piece and frame each one depending on the type of canvas. I am still sitting in the parking lot, just amazed at the wonderful and professional work they did. The frames are beautiful and bring out the color of the paintings. I am 100% ecstatic about them and can’t wait to hang them on my walls! It’s going to look incredible!

This place is great! The first time I went there I needed three different items framed. I originally went to one a bigger chain store that offered framing but there was a limited selection and the price was way too high. I then stopped in at Artistic Edge and they helped me pick out frames that ended up looking amazing. I was also very impressed with the price. I went back there to have a fourth item framed and it also turned out great.
They are incredibly friendly and provide great service. One of my frames was damaged when I moved and they replaced it free of charge a year after I bought it. It looks like they are expanding and I am very excited to see how everything turns out. I will continue to go there for all my framing needs.

I took three pieces there to be framed. All of them came out perfect! They look awesome on my wall and better than i had expected. Family owned which i like and the lady that helped me pick everything out was super sweet. We had a blast picking out matting, framing, and the little details that made my pieces pop. I had some unexpected financial obligations i couldn’t pick my stuff up when planned. The shop was understanding and held my pieces safe and sound for an extra couple weeks without any harassing calls or «reminder» emails. They were very patient with me and i appreciated that. Overall i would go back for their services and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality framing. The art they show there is really cool too!

This business is AWESOME! This family run business have been in the framing business for a long time and it shows! They have a HUGE selection of unique frames and are VERY affordable. Every piece of art we have had framed looks amazing! We never feel rushed while we choose the appropriate matting/​framing for our latest acquisition. This is our only destination when we frame — I suggest you check them out as well.

The best gallery and frame shop in the Sacramento area. The owner is very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpfull. This gallery has the best variety of art and is very supportive of local area artists. Do not decorate or purchase an art piece without checking Aristic Edge.

The team at this store is passionate and great to work with. I have a custom framing order in with them right now and they were a great help with choosing a frame and matte selection to meet my budget. I will write another review once the job is done. Give this local shop a chance to blow you away. Lots of good local art as well!

I am so glad I had the honor of performing for a Second Saturday reception at Artistic Edge. The gallery is wonderful, plenty of room to enjoy the varied types of art to be had, but also very easy and convenient to find and to park. Which can be especially useful when you have a large piece of art, a sculpture to get to your car outside. I am partially writing this because of the people who came to the gallery, I was so happy to get to talk with people who love the art and many who have created a family-​like connection to the owners and staff, it feels like being a part of a house party. Warm, inviting and positive. I hope I can be invited back to perform again sometime soon.

Wanted to get something framed and I had a coupon for this place, and I thought, ‘eh, why not?’ I am so glad that I did, though! They did fantastic work. They have convenient hours and they have lots of quality art for sale/​on display around the store. A few weeks after I went there they mailed me a hand-​written ‘thanks for your business’ note along with a coupon for a friend!
It’s in a strip mall on a busy street, but it’s so much more than its surroundings suggest. Most any framing or art collection needs can be met by this place and their friendly, helpful and fantastic staff.
