Dealing with Array of Motion is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had! It took months of leaving voicemails and lengthy emails to get an appointment. When I actually drove there for my appointment, they told me that the appointment had been rescheduled for 30 minutes earlier. Since I was «late» to the appointment, they can no longer take me. Since all of the communication at this point was via email, I requested to see the email which was supposed to inform me of the appointment change. They could not produce that. It’s ironic that so much stress can be caused from trying to get a massage! I am giving it 1 star because I have to. Absolutely awful experience!

I was having some chronic issues with my back, shoulder and neck due to constant computer use, and I went to Array of Motion for help. I no longer had full range of motion of my neck and right arm. I’d been to other massage therapists, but they would give me a massage and call it done. Latoya was genuinely concerned about how I was feeling, checked in with me on a regular basis, and did not stop until she had found and addressed the issues that no one else could. A few months later I again have full range of motion in my neck and arm and I feel great. I can’t recommend Latoya at Array of Motion highly enough. i am forever grateful. If you have chronic issues like I did, look no further. Your solution is right here.

Latoya was awesome! She came from almost an hour away to my grandmothers hospital to give her this much needed massage. She had great bedside manner and always checked in with my grandma. My grandma is terminally ill and I am so blessed to have found Latoya and purchase her services. I think there needs to be more people out there that would do this sort of service for the hospitalized population. My grandmother is now calm and relaxed and has some motivation to get better!

I play soccer, have tons of scar tissue, and have a stressful and sedentary job. In other words, I have a ton of knots and tight muscles that require a lot of work. Latoya was able to work out the knots and addressed each of my problem areas with precision and professionalism. I’ve already scheduled my next massage and look forward to the benefits of regular massage sessions. I too had my appointment rescheduled but it was really no big deal. If rescheduling is a regular problem I would agree that the reviews should reflect the inconvenience and displeasure. But, having it only happen once, I cannot say that it is so egregious that it warrants a bad review.
Try this place out and form your own opinion while enjoying a relaxing and much needed massage.

Worst place ever. I bought 2 groupon vouchers for a couples massage in March and have Been trying to schedule a massage for me and my boyfriend ever since. It is now the middle of august. And since then I got stood up because apparently one of the masseuse got into an «accident». And apparently they have no available a masseuse. Well it seems that place of business is always closed. I don’t know how in the world they are still in business. I finally got fed up and returned my vouchers EVEN tho they were expired already, thank goodness to groupon, they still returned it due to the lack of customer service we received! Horrible!!! This place needs to be shut down! The worst place ever and creepiest place ever.

The massage was great, and relaxing, I left feel good. I have scoliosis and a pinched nerve, my doctor recommended me getting massages at least once a month. This is the place I would recommend for that.

If there were scheduling problems, I can totally understand the bad reviews. But if you’re trying to decide whether to go to this place, make sure you take note that ALL of the bad reviews are for scheduling issues. The reviews for the actual massage are all great.
I actually asked about the reviews when I called to schedule. They were pretty straightforward about it: «Im glad you read the reviews, and I’m glad you decided to give us a chance anyway. We had some problems in the past, but we’ve updated our staff with more reliable employees and that won’t be a problem in the future.»
I started by communicating via text per the voicemails suggestion, and everything worked out fine. It seems a little weird even today to schedule via text, but the thing is with this place, it’s a «mom and pop shop» (though that makes the employees sound old… they’re not). It’s in a humble building in a good neighborhood. The office itself is «good» and the room where you get the massage is «good plus.»
The actual massage is great. The person who did mine seems to be trained in addition to natural sense for massage. There was no unenjoyable part of the massage from beginning to end.
I went in with my wife (she will also be writing a review because we both feel it’s unfortunate that this place has such poor reviews). I prefer very firm, and I was super happy with it.
The therapist was also really pleasant and friendly. I get the sense that she’s mastered massage and is now working on her business acumen. This isn’t Massage Envy, which is basically the McDonalds of the massage world. It’s more like your favorite neighborhood restaurant where everything’s awesome and the people are nice (assuming your fav restaurant is not mcdonalds).
Ultimately, in the age if Unilocal,businesses have to pay for their mistakes, and it seems like that’s what this place is doing by offering all the Groupon type deals. If you have the chance to get one, I personally recommend you do before they establish a clientele and don’t have to offer promotions as much. I’m glad I gave them the chance.

I liked it. Goldilocks would like it. You may find it just right.
Array of Motion now has multiple providers available which made it very easy for me to get an appointment within 36 hours. Sometimes I’ve been luckier and gotten same day appointments.
This time I enjoyed a very relaxing and comforting massage from Viva. She offered me very firm, medium or light, and like Goldilocks I found medium to be jussst right!
Viva has a unique style that I appreciated very much. Her hands are among the softest I have experienced, yet her pressure is effective and carefully applied.
I would like to address some of the more negative reviews of Array of Motion and say that I too have stood in the hallway outside the locked door and wondered. I did find that my patience was rewarded when the preceding appointment ended and the door opened. Maybe they need to put a sign on the door letting customers know that they are in session and that the door will open at a certain time. I know we are used to having a waiting room such as at the dentist, but I understand when the door is locked and I patiently await the appointed time. When I am in a session I appreciate knowing that that door is locked and the therapist can maintain her focus on me.

I also experienced an initial rescheduling/​notification issue, but LaToya made things right. She followed up and rescheduled my appt. She gave me a complimentary gift and offered to reimburse my parking, if applicable. The massage was excellent and she was there on time both times. I’ve reschedule to return next week.
She explained that there were some bumps in the road early on, but that she has a stronger team now and things should be smooth sailing from now on…

What’s going on with this place? I scheduled a massage with a deal from groupon and they rescheduled the day i supposed to go, saying they have AC issue. When i arrived for our rescheduled appointment, no one is here, called and left a voicemail, texted two messages, no response. i arrived 5 mins early as I’m instructed, and it’s15mins past my scheduled appointment, should I kept waiting?

Awesome service, LaToya! I always feel better after you work out the kinks in my neck :) Highly recommend others to sign up for a membership. :)

I had a massage last Friday with Latoya and it was amazing! I had been having muscle spasms for over a month, after seeing an ER doctor and my primary doctor three times, and the pain had not been resolved. I had my massage and woke up the next morning without pain for the first time in over a month! My experience was so positive. The treatment was amazing! I’ve already scheduled my next appointment with Latoya!

I bought a Groupon. I cannot rate AOM’s massages because I never was able to schedule one. Read my complaint to Groupon below:
I do not want services from Array of Motion, I have had a terrible experience thus far. I scheduled an appointment with them (which is only possibly via text message and is only possible several weeks in advance) initially for Mar 28^th. I needed to reschedule this appt, which I did on March 2^nd. I rescheduled for April 26^th. I again had to reschedule and I texted them on April 24^th. I did not hear back from them, so I texted again. I received a response on April 25^th and rescheduled for May 17^th at 12:30 pm. I arrived at my appointment as asked in their text message not more than 5 minutes early and the entrance to their business was locked. I called (no answer and texted– no response). Finally an employee Latoya opened the door about 15 minutes later and informed me I was not in their books. She also had a double booking in the next few minutes and needed to reschedule me. She gave me a voucher for a free massage and rescheduled me for the following weekend.
The following Friday May 23^rd I received a text after 5pm telling me they needed to reschedule my appt for May 24^th at 4 pm to 2 pm, with a text message and asked me to please confirm. I was obviously frustrated but agreed. The following morning, Sat May 23^rd at 11:28 am I received another text message stating they apologized but my therapist called out sick. They offered to give me a gift card for future visits and asked me to text them with another time to reschedule.
I do not want a free massage from Array of Motion, I do not want to reschedule with Array of Motion either. I cannot understand how they as a business even are able to make money with their terrible customer service. They have already offered me 2 free massages, which will be a nightmare to schedule! No thank you. I would like my groupon refunded and I informed them I would be contacting Groupon. I am extremely dissatisfied.

Just got back from a customized massage I got from Latoya. She was awesome! Super friendly and calming vibes. She targeted my tense areas and did a great job massaging out knots in my upper back. She asked a few times throughout my visit if the pressure was good, she was very accommodating.
I used the groupon I purchased. Latoya offered the cider during the foot scrub/​wax treatment and yes, the chocolate was just fun size twix and snicker bars, but why would you wanna get hyped up on sugar anyway. So that wasn’t a negative factor for me.
I was a little surprised that the foot treatment was done in the same room as the massage with a portable plug in foot spa thing, but how my feet felt after the treatment– I could care less! Feet are silky smooth and I still feel like I’m walking on clouds.
Only reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars is because it’s not a super fancy, state of the art, salon/​spa vibe atmosphere. But you get what you need here, a great massage.
*Tip– They aren’t too great with answering the phone because they don’t have a full staff or a receptionist at the location. If you’re having trouble making an appointment, highly recommend texting them.
I would definitely go back again.

I’m waiting outside Array of Motion as we speak and nobody’s home. My appointment was at 5pm and it appears I won’t be getting a massage tonight. I ran the marathon on Sunday and am very sore, and now very disappointed.
Update: Latoya was quick with responding and apologizing for the mixup in a voicemail, although she has not returned my call to reschedule.

We just got our massages done at Array of Motion. My BFF flew to Sacramento for the weekend and I decided to purchase the Living Social deal two weeks in advance.
Before even purchasing the deal I contacted AOM and made sure they had appointments available for this weekend. I spoke to a very nice lady on the phone who said there was time available. I purchased the deal, called back and made the appointment.
There was no confirmation email or phone call on the day of the purchase. I wanted to make sure that we were going to get the massage for this weekend so I tried contacting them. Yes they are a little difficult to get a hold of so I went to their location.
Our names were not on the office calendar for the original date that I made the appointment but the gentleman wrote our names down. Later that evening I received a call that my appointment was cancelled. I tried calling back. No answer. So I went back to the location and met Latoya. She was very sweet and understood the importance of getting this appointment for this weekend. She worked with our schedule and was able to confirm an appointment for the next day.
The massages were great, and Latoya is very sweet and has good energy. I would recommend this place if you want to release stress at a deal price. Just make sure you do your research beforehand and have patience. Their calendar gets full fast.

My fiancé got this for me as a birthday gift in August, as a Groupon. I have been trying to redeem it since. Unfortunately, I was never able to. They are very difficult to get a hold of. If you leave a message, they may or may not get back to you weeks later.
The therapist cancelled on me THREE times. The first time through a text message, the third time being at 9:45pm the night before the appointment.
I can’t rate the massage since I was unable to get it.
Thankfully, Groupon gave me a refund.
Don’t waste your time here.

My girlfriend got us a Groupon for Array of Motion, and we had our massages, foot scrubs and paraffin waxes done today. It took a while to book our massages for the same time and we needed to re-​schedule, so I will agree with some of the other posts in terms of difficulty of actually getting to the massage table.
BUT.. . the massages (mine from Latoya, hers from Messiah) were both very well done. We have both had many professional massages from many places, and this was up there with the best. They were both very professional, very good at finding knots and working them out, and very friendly. This was the first time I have had any pampering done on my feet (it was part of the Groupon) so I don’t have any basis for comparison. But, I enjoyed it.
The «take-​away»… this place is a very small operation and perhaps their organizational and scheduling skills are not as good as their massaging skills. Personally, I feel that this is better than the opposite, and would rate it 5 stars if they put some polish on their customer service.
