History

Established in 1980.

Armor Mini Storage is celebrating 30+ years of serving Sacramento for their storage needs. Conveniently located on Auburn Blvd between Garfield Ave and Manzanita Ave. The 3 «Knights in Shining ARMOR» stand guard on the rooftop. You also might spy «Sir Armor» waiting to greet you upon entering the gate.

Carole E.

Manager

Carole has obtained her certification as a Self-​Storage Manager from the Self-​Storage Association. With more than 20 years experience in the self-​storage business, she brings her knowledge and friendly attitude to all her customers. As an on-​site resident manager, she may meet you in the facility after business hours to assist in any way she can to make your storage experience as pleasant as possible.

Active in both the Citrus Heights and Carmichael Chambers of Commerce as well as a local neighborhood task force, Carole believes in assisting in her community. She was instrumental in partnering with an e-​waste recycling company to provide a Green Spot Drop-​off location at the storage facility for electronic items that can no longer be disposed of in the trash. This service is offered free of charge as a service to the community at large. Funds are then returned to local schools from the recycling company.

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy a unit from this place at their storage auctions!
The lockers that were delinquent and went up for auction on Storage Treasures through this place were totally STAGED.
The managers here obviously made the lockers out of stuff left in abandoned units, and put them up online for people to bid on.
They acted super weird and distant when they were called on it… no wonder they no longer do auctions in person, no one would buy anything if they could see this garbage up close.
Good luck with your next trash auction scammers! We’ll put the word out to all the auction buyers for you…

Storage places are a dime a dozen on Auburn Blvd, but this one is definitely worth checking out first.
Being the comparison shopper that I am, I found their prices were right in line with the going rates of competitors — and even better, they have longer commitments on their prices so your rates don’t jump after just a few months. This was a big reason I decided to store here, a lot farther from my house, instead of the handful of other places that are a lot closer to me.
The entire staff was really friendly and easy to deal with. Over the past year, I started with a bigger unit with the intention of downsizing, and they were accommodating by making sure my bigger unit was near smaller vacant units. When I did downsize, it was a breeze thanks to that preplanning.
I also liked how well lit the whole facility is and how they give you drive up key card access so you’re not bothered to remember a code or have to exit your running vehicle to enter or leave (hey it is Auburn Blvd after all). They also have extras like dollys and flat carts for free use to make things easier.
Even though I just emptied my unit out, this is definitely a business I would return to first if my storage needs change.

Carol and Jim are so nice to work with. They support my women’s club in so many ways. We recently had a clothing drive, they gave us a unit to collect our clothing. They are always willing to lend a hand. The units are very clean and rates are very reasonable.

My first time getting a unit and they by far are the best place around. I called multiple places and didn’t get the customer service Armor up front gives. Clean facility. I am very impressed and would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a storage unit to try Armor Storage you won’t regret it.

OMG, the nicest people, cleanest facility and best extras around! Carole is a sweetheart and knows her business top to bottom. She’s all about her customers and even keeps a manager’s apartment on-​site.
You will not find better; I heard some of their customers have been with them for decades!!! Top that!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Super clean, secure and professional facility. They have reasonable rates and open everyday. Staff is courteous and professional. They just put in new super bright lighting all over. Grounds are always clean. Often they have auctions or yard sales.

Ready: Name another storage facility in the greater Sacramento Area that offers Green Waste Recycling on-​site, has very competitive prices, and who’s manager provides brownie bites, free bottled water, and pizza on the weekends in August for those poor souls who are up to their neck in boxes?
Oh, I’m sorry. Your time is up, but we do have some nice consolation prizes for you.
