Amazing!!! A must see!

Ambers Sweets are a volunteer shadow cast for Repo! The Genetic Opera that usually peforms at the Colonial Theatre. Think Rocky Horror meets Blade Runner meets rock-​opera, but with more guts than you can shake a small intestine at.
I’ve seen the Ambers Sweets perform twice, though I missed their last show. As far as shadow casts go, they are excellent!
Everyone was high-​energy and had great timing and very expressive body language. They were very creative with sets and props and made use of the entire theatre. I love being at shows where characters dance in the aisles.
Though there are Repo! shadow casts all around the country, the Ambers Sweets were the first (and as far as I’m aware, ONLY) casts to suspend their Blind Mag from the ceiling in the opera scene. For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, it was difficult to do and looked awesome.
If you’re a Tash Film Orgy, Rocky Horror, or Mr. Lobo fan this is right down your alley. Grab some blue glow-​sticks and get ready to TESTIFY!

Amber’s Sweets is one of the best groups I have ever had the fortune to meet and befriend. They are a group of amazing and creative people that have brought Repo! The Genetic Opera to life in Sacramento. I have been to every showing of Repo! in Sacramento (to this date and not counting the May 22^nd show that will happen, there have been 3), and I continue to go for the fun and blood that the Sweets bring.
Amber’s Sweets are the Sacramento shadow cast for Repo! and they bring Colonial Theater to life with astounding methods, translating the magic onscreen to truly palpable electricity for their audiences. They give their all and bring the show to life with eerie accuracies. Their acting and effects are dead on, and every show is a treat that will be savored all the way up until the next show. There is a reason why people start to line up early at the door, and why the theater is packed for every performance.
When I come to a show, my heart is beating as fast as it might were I running from the Repo Man! I can feel the energy in the building, and the audience participation mixed with the camaraderie of the fans makes the Colonial the place to be. Come see the Sweets and Testify! You won’t be sorry!
