Alpine Limousine Service

Our friends bought the Living Social deal for the 6 hour wine tasting tour in a limo to bring my fiancé and I. After the hassle of even making a reservation we settled for a Tuesday. They came on Unilocal a few days before we were supposed to go and read all the horrible reviews, so they called and asked if we were going to be given a town car or a limo, and if it was going to be a town car then we wanted to cancel the wine tour all together. Of course after we said we would cancel (and probably ask for a refund from Living Social) they said a limo would be sent. Since Unilocal has such bad reviews we read over the contract and found that basically you can do nothing in the limo. Even though it says champagne is provided, you can’t drink in the limo. Even though the tour is from 10am-​4pm and none of the wineries on the tour serve lunch, you may not eat in the limo. Thankfully we found that one winery did serve cheese platters!
The worse was the overtime, we were told if we went 1 MINUTE over our 6 hours we would be charged $ 125 for every hour. Yes, it was our decision to stay longer at the last winery and were prepared to pay the extra $ 125, but the driver never told us the conditions. Just as we are leaving the last winery we reconfirm that it will be $ 125/​hour he says, then adds in, «oh I only take cash for overtime» which is strange because we gave him a credit card before we left. So we had to ask him to take us to a bank, which of course comes out of your ticking clock! Then we get home and hand him $ 125 and he says, «You owe me $ 150, not $ 125» WTF!!! We asked over and over how much it would be he never said anything different than $ 125 when we asked why he said «$ 125 plus tax and gratuity» Are you serious?! At least tell us after we asked a million times! Thankfully we were all able to scrape up the extra cash and we sent him on his merry way!
On a positive not, our limo driver was very nice. He never was rude and let us choose the route. He told us what was on the tour and let us decide where and what we did first. He was also very knowledgeable about the area. I will even say that he was sympathetic to the whole situation. He said he liked us, but he doesn’t make the rules, and I can understand that. It’s not his fault the company he works for is shady. He even let us drink the champagne in the limo on the way there, which was strangest «champagne» I have ever tasted. When we read the label it said sparkling malt liquor! hahaha We then found it a few days later at Total Wine for $ 4 a bottle. Oh well it was all an experience that’s for sure!

I bought the living social package and the service was awesome. People at Alpine were flexible to let us choose our own trip. The driver Arnel was very friendly, professional and punctual. We wanted to extend additional hour and they had no problem for extra charge. Some of my other friends used this service before and they have nothing but nice things to say about Alpine. Living social is the company who makes the money and these companies get a little out of the deal. It probably cost them more to do these cheap jobs but still they do their Jobs very professionally with a smile. People got too much time on Unilocal to dis good companies. Alpine Limo has my best wishes…

I am very disappointed in the way my reservation was cancelled for tomorrow, 3÷26÷12 at 10:30 am, to Napa. I just got finished calling the other 3 ladies that took the day off from work to explain how unaccommodating this company was because they did not have a back-​up driver. Instead of being offered a service in exchange for canceling my appointment with less than a 48hr notice, I was given a reschedule date for 2 months away in a message. I had to call 2 more times to speak with an employee who did not seem to respect that 4 people’s work schedules were affected, along with money out of my pocket. What a slap in the face for a customer! I do suggest this company work on their rescheduling policy and try adding some sympathy for upsetting a customer’s schedule. Because if I disrespected their driver’s schedule, it would of cost me $ 125.00 per hour. I hope they change so no future customer ever has to be treated so uncaring!

I made the critical error of buying a Napa Limo trip on livingsocial with this company and they are an absolute ripoff! We were picked up at 10:00 did two winery visits and ended up paying $ 320 over the livingsocial amount… The driver and the business owner were rude and based on past experience for the same or less money I could have a great experience at full price without any special deal. The driver got lost on the way to our first stop and despite the fact I provided him with the address from the outset and he didn’t apologize for making us late… I WOULD NEVER USE THESE GUYS, NEVER!!!

Ridiculously fraudulent and over-​priced. Purchased the Living Social deal for six people on a limousine tour. He showed up in a Suburban and argued it was a town car. Either way that’s not a limo. We argued the point so the driver took us to his home in Natomas to trade cars (why didn’t he just take the limo??) and then added that to our total time so we lost an hour on our tour and were charged $ 91 over the living social deal (on top of the $ 65 gratuity). Never gave us the included champagne. Wasted so much time switching cars to honor the actual written deal, we only hit 2 wineries before he told us we were going to owe him the additional $ 91 when we got home. After getting back, we refused to pay the additional $ 91 (we did give him the totally undeserved $ 65 tip because we were told about it before the trip). He insisted the deal said town car regardless of the fact we had a copy of the printed deal with us. When we mentioned the additional lack of the included champagne, he stormed into his car, threw it in reverse (almost hitting an oncoming car) and tore off.
Complete rip off — Alpine Limos is a scam using Living Social to further their scam. Clearly short-​sighted — they had NO Unilocal reviews until they started reneging on their Living Social offer.
Living Social did refund our trip.

I have never sent a review before but I was so upset and disappointed that I felt it had to be done so people out there wouldn’t have this happen to them too. I too purchased a Napa Valley Wine tour through Living Social. The offer specifically said a 6 hour LIMOUSINE wine tour with champagne for 4 people. We called and booked our date which happened to be this Sunday nothing was said about a town car when we booked it a month ago. When I called last night to confirm the details of Sunday I just so happened to log onto their website and saw they only have to cars being smart I asked which would be picking us up because something didn’t seem right. He told me a Lincoln Town car would be picking us up. I was livid there is no way I was going to have one of my girlfriends sit up front for 6 hours with a complete stranger how awkward. He then said I could pay the difference to upgrade and when I asked him how much that would be he said oh sorry I don’t have a limo available that day. Here we are going on a girls wine tasting trip there is no way we are going to feel like we are in a taxi! Not to mention they don’t tell you that the majority of wineries in Napa require a wine tasting appointment and if you don’t book it they aren’t doing it for you so you would be going from place to place trying to get in… Living Social did agree to refund our money. But we are still extremely disappointed that we are now two days away and have to come from our planned trip and now we have to come up with a completely different plan. I absolutely would not refer this place to my worst enemy.

Ok, yes it said Limo tour and we had a Lincoln town car but who the hell can complain when you’re drankin and getting drivin all over the dang place??? Driver was cool, he let us do our thing. We are alive, NO DUI, life is great. My group had a great time!

No stars! Purchased a Napa Valley Wine tour through Living Social along with 300 other people. The offer specifically said a 6 hour limousine wine tour with champagne for 4 people. When I called to book the offer, I was told it was for a Lincoln Town car, not a limousine. Industry standard refers to a Lincoln Town car as a corporate sedan or a luxury sedan. Can you image going on a Napa Valley tour with two couples and one person having to sit up with the driver in the front seat?! The man representing Alpine on the phone was aloof and had little regard for me as a customer. They were just out to make a quick buck through Living Social. Living Social was great and immediately agreed that Alpine Limo was not keeping their agreement (fraudulent) and refunded our money. But what a dissappointment after fighting cancer for the last year! I was really looking forward to this day out with my husband and no kids. A special treat after a really rough year for our family. Absolutely shameful, Jasbir (Josh, Jay) Gidda!
