Alan just recently tinted my car and I didn’t have to burn any gas. He did it all in the driveway, and I must say it looks awesome. Great guy… great service… Happy Customer!

I called Allen today for window tinting pricing. I was so anxious to get it done but he wasn’t really able to do it today due to working on a big project. I had told him that if he felt up to it, I would even be willing to come to his house so he doesn’t have to be out late. I’m not a very patient person when it comes to something I want done now, so I was absolutely willing to do this. Allen texted me when he got home around 6:30 and said to come on over. I got to his place after 7 and he had me done and on the road again by 8. My car looks so amazing! Allen is such an awesome guy! Very laid back and cool! He gave up some of his evening for me, which most people wouldn’t do! I appreciate it, thanks so much, Allen!!!
It added that last little touch I needed for my new car!

Great great great!!! Allen and his friend i dont rememer his name were absolutely AMAZING!!! I had an appt at 4 they got there exactly at 4 which was perfect and i called 3 hours before so i got a same day appt which was exactly what i wanted. hes super nice and funny. I probably asked a million questions but he answered all of them… the price is great especially since they can come to you. I got a lifetime warranty so that’s nice… i would definitely recommend them to everyone

Great Job! Alan came to my home on the weekend because I use my car during the week. He was right on time, very professional and prepaired. Did a really great job on my 02 Deville. I will call on him again when I need to get any of my cars tinted.

Let me start out by saying that Alan is COMPLETELY unprofessional. Called him to do all 5 of my car windows and told him the exact tint that I wanted and was quoted at $ 250. We made a 9am appointment for the following Monday. Once 11am rolled around and he had still not arrived, my boyfriend gave him a call to see what was up. He said there was «traffic’ and he was on his way. 3pm and still no arrival, my boyfriend calls again and he tells him that he «won’t be able to make it today». Fine. We make another app for the next day. Alan shows up 3 hours late WITHOUT THE TINT I REQUESTED. I decided to go with a darker tint for my back windows and Alan claimed he would come back in a few days once he had the other tint for the front windows back in stock. He upcharged me for the 3 back windows, I’m guessing so that I wouldnt get the two front windows done elsewhere. Since that day we have called him and texted him several times and never received a response.
TERRIBLE service, jerk attitude, NEVER again.
Get your tints done by literally anyone else and you’re guaranteed to have a better experience than I did.

Stay away from this organization, He’ll dodge your calls as he see your # come up on his phone when he can’t deliver what he said he was going to do. call him from a different phone he doesn’t reconize, and he pick’s up to be back pedaling on his commitment to you. Woln’t even give you the curtiousy to call you if he can’t make your apointtment. Hmmm what i would call a flaky …

A-​1 showed up right as scheduled and tinted two of my back bedroom windows…2 bedrooms … Our electric bills were getting out of control and then Alan Helmer installed 80% thermo heat reduction window tints and cut my electric Pretty significantly. .
The temp in those rooms has been pleasant ever since with additional a/​c window units being rendered Un needed…

Couldn’t ask for a better price for the quality! Never had a problem with the workmanship or the tint, been a long-​time customer and will remain a customer.

Unfortunately, I’ve made the mistake of using this guy numerous times. First, we scheduled him for my husband’s Cadillac a few years ago. I remember him being un-​professional but no exact details to share.
Then, we bought a gift card from him for our brother (because we liked the fact that he came to us). The guy was nearly an hour late, and when I called to ask my husband how the guy was doing he said he hadn’t showed yet. I told them he needs to call the guy, and when he did the guy said he forgot about the appointment (he sounded drunk on the phone and said he was out on the boat). Since we already had a gift certificate we were stuck at this point. They re-​scheduled for another day, and he was late AGAIN!
This was all a couple years ago, and when my husband got a new truck, I wanted to get the front windows tinted as his fathers day gift. Immediately I thought of this company, and must have lost my mind because I thought maybe it’d be fine and plus I just love the convenience of someone coming to us instead of us going somewhere. I made the appt with him on Friday for a Tuesday, called him Monday again to confirm… then he calls us over an hour after our appt time and said he cant make it! WTF!!! He tried to re-​schedule and I told my husband no way!
Now, looking on here I discovered there’s plenty of other mobile tinting companies and I will be going with one of those that actually has good reviews!

I called for an estimate on mobile tinting, and the rates were great! I booked an appt. next day, and was able to work while my car was getting the tint applied. Technician was a little behind schedule do to him finishing up another tinting job, but that didnt affect me since I was at work. Tint came out flawless and I was extremely satisfied. Lifetime warranty which is another bonus. Technician had great customer service, and was very knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to wait in a lobby and can go about their daily routine while getting your car worked on.

I’m at my office all the time so I can’t get a lot of things done during normal business hours like tinting my windows. Alan answered my call right away and was able to come the same day to tint the two front windows on my Rover.
Pros: Quick service, cheaper price than I was quoted by any other window tinting company and he was mobile.
Cons: Alan said he would be there by noon but didn’t get here til 1 pm. Being a little late isn’t a big deal for me, but if your anal with time, make sure you reiterate with Alan, the meeting time.
Overall: If you need a tint for your car, mobile or not Alan is worth a call.

I have used Al now on 3 separate occasions. He is a nice guy and does good work. When it comes to tint it is really nice to have a guy that is mobile. With that said I have read his other reviews on here and I must admit… he is not the best with scheduling and timing which can be a pain but so is also taking your vehicle to a tint shop and waiting 4 hrs or better yet finding rides back and forth. Im giving him five stars because out of the three times ive used him he only had one time that he mixed up our timing… and as a result he did not chart me for removal of my existing tint so he made up for it in my book. Give him a chance, you will like his work. He also tints house and home as well.

The technician was a no show for my appointment. No call, nothing! Very disappointing.

Kind of like other reviews have already said, look for someone else. We made an appointment for him last summer to tint two of our cars, and on the day of the appointment he was a no-​show, no-​call, nothing. I called to see what was up and like someone else said, he forgot so we had to reschedule. On the second appointment, he finally showed up I think an hour late and started working on our car. When he was «finished», I said OK cool, so how much longer to get the truck done and also noticed a bunch of bubbles and issues with the car tint. To that he said, I don’t have time — I was only tinting one car, even though we had confirmed a two car appointment and he would have to come back to do the second car and fix the windows.
So, anyway, onto the third date. To start with he showed up high as a kite. He got my truck done, and initially scratched the visor really bad and wasn’t going to say anything about it until I noticed it. He asked if he could just leave it, which I said no and then he redid it and fixed it up. It did ultimately look really nice.
Back to the car to fix the mistakes, he retinted the one window, and messed up so he had to re-​retint the same window a total of three times. Then to fix some other issues with bubbles that wouldn’t sit down, he tried to slice the bubbles with a razor which didn’t work and went to retint the windows that were having issues. So after a couple of days, I was still waiting for all of the little bubbles to sit down that he guarnateed would, and they never did.
Now a year later, I look across at my windows every day and see these horrible spots, streaks, scratches and bubbles in the tint which are rapidly getting worse. Right now, the two front windows look horrible. The tint has faded incredibly fast, and not even somewhat evenly. It looks like I have a grid of shading differences on one window, and the other has horizontal lines of varying levels of fading going all the way down.
I called a week ago and got his voicemail. I left a message asking him to call me back to see what he could do to help me get my car fixed, and after a week — no call back. Bottom quality work, bottom quality tint and bottom quality service.
So I just took my car to another tint shop this morning, and after this incredible story they are actually charging me $ 450 to redo the work that was previously done, discounted from $ 600!!! When they looked at the tint this morning, they noticed all the bubbles, the creases in the glass and most definitely noticed that the tint material itself was cheap garbage.
WARNING TO ANYONE ABOUT TO USE A-​1 Mobile Tint, don’t just look away — run away and don’t let this guy anywhere near your cars!!!

I called to have my ancient Mercedes windows’ tinted to help with heat this summer. (no a/​c) They showed up the next day as scheduled and were fast, clean, friendly and efficient. I also called around for competitive pricing and was happy with their pricing. I am very pleased with the service and after seeing the fantastic job that A1 did for me, my two nieces are getting their cars done as well. We will be recommending them to our friends in the Northern California area.

I Called to make an appointment for tinting on my car and was able to schedule one the next day at 3:30. The guy i spoke with took my address down and said he would see me the next afternoon. On the day of my appointment 3:30 came and went with no show or call from the technician. I waited till 3:40, thinking maybe he ran into traffic on the way to my home. At 3:40 I called to find out if he was still coming and was told that he forgot about my appointment. He said that he could still come but it would be in about 40 minutes. Needless to say I told him no thank you. I thought it was very unprofessional not to take note of our appointment when we had just spoke the previous afternoon.

Four out of five dentists recommend Alan for your window tinting needs!
Pro: Alan is a good craftsman and he’s experienced. He gave us his spring sale price in the dead of summer; we saved $ 15.00 bucks. Awesome cost to benefit ratio. I would recommend him to anyone who is on a budget. I felt comfortable with him in my home.
Con: Some superficial scratches were found. Barely noticeable debris found in between the film and the glass; hair-​like cuttings from the tinting. No reply to any text messages after service was completed. Windex might be an issue; he advised using an alternate cleaning solution. Requested receipt after service: no response.

The day I bought my car at the BMW dealer I saw Alan’s advertisement by way of magnets on a desk, my thought was it must be a good business if sponsored by the dealer I called and made an appointment… the flexibility of having the job done in the comfort of my own home is priceless. Alan’s good nature and prompt professional service makes up for the terrible ratting received by the BBB. BBB rating does not reflect the volume of business this company does a year. My Mini Cooper looks even better than when I bought it. Product is first class quality and is backed by a lifetime warranty against defects and fading. I give this company a 5 star rating and a A+.

Great job on install with high quality material. Mobile service is a plus.
