7-Eleven

Just got yelled at by an employee for calling him out on mislabelling his doughnuts. I mean, I get that’s it’s basically 4am and a lot of the people that you deal with are on drugs, but I’m just trying to point out that you charged me twice what this shit was labeled at. I respect that you have work to do. But if you make a mistake you don’t get to raise your voice at me just ’cause I pointed it out and it’s a weird time. It was labeled «glazed doughnut 50 cents» and you charged me 99 cents.

The food gave me food poisoning every time. Never again returning.

This 7 – 11 (along with most 7−11s) has some funky clientele. The type of people that smell like the burn ward in a hospital. This coupled with the hygiene habits of Multiple Miggs from Silence of the Lambs. I get physically ill having to smell these people inside the store along with the weird packs of hobos that congregate in the L-​shaped wing outside of the building.
The staff is pretty friendly, and the products are well stocked, but that is not their best attribute. The one thing keeping me from cutting out 7 – 11 is the pizza. It’s so cheap and tastes better than a lot of low end pizza shops. I will take 7 – 11 pizza over Dominos any day of the week. I cannot speak for the roller dogs, as I believe one would have to be mentally ill to attempt eating one.
I used to make it a point to stop by and grab a snack three times a week, but stopped once Johnny left. I still drift in once a week out of necessity, but it’s always a little dicey. Also, for some weird reason, their front door has the handle broken off once every two months or so.

This store has seriously declined since they fired Johnny. That guy was the best! Normally let me get water from the fountain for free. Today, on the other hand, I was charged 2 $ for fountain water! I can deal with that except the little bald guy behind the counter was being a total jerk about it. So I said «you dont have to be an asshole about this.» He responded by telling me not to come into «his» store any more. I will gladly take my business elswhere! There are plenty of other stores down town that sell a wonderful variety of healthy snack and beverage options.

We walked into this store last night after an event we attended across the street. I had a half eaten box of Red Vines in hand when we entered. We went to the cooler, grabbed two drinks and went straight to the register. The cashier, the shorter of the two males working last night, pointed to my candy and asked me to pay for it. I told him it was a purchase from another place. He rolled his eyes and scowled at me. I asked if he was insinuating I stole the candy from them, but he did not respond. I was well dressed, polite and I’m pretty sure I don’t look like a hoodlum. I can only speculate as to the other reason he’d treat me in such a manner. This store gets a one because this system won’t allow me to give it a zero or negative one.

The employees are helpful and friendly. The homeless people who occasionally hang out in front of the store can be annoying, but what do you expect? It’s downtown. They address issues when they escalate. I’m glad this 7 Eleven doesn’t serve alcohol, there are already enough liquor stores, bars and drunks roaming around the area. I like that they serve the usual hot food fare of all of the other 7 Elevens. Right on par with what I expect of a 7 Eleven with a nicer crew and a cooler downtown feel. Highly recommend when you’re in the area.

Cripes their pizza was so good I had to throw it up to eat it twice. The extra flavorings of dirty Ungloved hands which has touched raw hotdog and cocaine money enhanced the flavor and how the pizza was freezing cold in the middle added a nice touch. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would Not Bang.

This is by far, the BEST 7 – 11 I have ever been to. The customer service is top notch, the staff is super friendly, you can’t beat the coffee, smooth and full of flavor. Not bitter like starbucks or «Side Bar Café» which is on the same block as this 7 – 11. I come here 2 or 3 times a day for a hot cup of coffee and in the mornings I grab a few breakfast empanada’s,
As for the back and side doors being locked as others have «complained about, how many times have you been to a 7 – 11 and had more than one entrance? When they first opened this store they were always open. The homeless people took advantage of this, they would walk in and grab whatever they could get their grubby hands on and take off «running» out the back or side doors. I have personally witnessed that happening. The main entrance is the only door that should be open and no it does not have a sticker of a wheel chair but it’s a double door with no step and is perfectly handicapped accessable. WTF? I can’t believe you whiney ass liberals are complaining about that. Get over it.
You people that complain, try showing a little respect yourself and you will be surprised at how differently people treat you. You get back what you dish out!

I love the convenience. Most of the staff is friendly. But they allow homeless to hang out right in front of the store. I get tired of being asked for change before and after I leave the store. They need to keep them away from their front enterance

THE SETUP
Across the street from the Convention Center, this 7 – 11 is exactly a 7 Block /​10 minute stroll from my place at 2AM when I run out of Pepsi and my craving won’t let me wait until later.
The 2 Liter bottles usually run $ 2.94 — sometimes $ 2.34 if they have a sale going on — out the door. Still much cheaper to get the specials on soda at Safeway or another grocery store. But when you’re walking, this is a quicker stop for me.
THE LOWDOWN
At least it has my Pepsi for a late night stop.

At least there is a 7 – 11 in the grid. Too bad it sucks.

not only did you try to charge me for something that I did not buy.(I had to call you out on it) You continued to be «educate» me on how 7 – 11 products are expensive and not to waste it, in a rude manner. You filled both ice coffee machines with French vanilla. I wanted mocha, not French vanilla! I wil not pay for this ice coffee because you cannot distinguish the difference between the two. Yes, I threw it out! I will not pay for YOUR error. You continued to berate me as I walked out of the door, yelling «woo hoo» and clapping. You are a sad representation of customer service. Shame on you. I will never return to this location!

This 7 – 11 is awesome! My kids love going there for the slurpees and I love the location and great customer service (Johnpreet is super friendly!).

So yesterday I went for my walk and decided to walk to 7-​Eleven. Great customer service and a very clean store. Convenient location at 13^th and J Street downtown. Will definitely go back.

Gone are the days of a packed La Bou on the corner of J and 14. We frequented that coffee shop so often we were disappointed when it closed. And when we found out a 7-​eleven would be moving in and we were equally as disappointed.
But then it opened and we were actually pretty impressed. It’s not the gross creepy 7-​eleven you may be used to. It’s clean, new and shiny. I was pretty surprised by the interior design of this one too.
The staff are young and friendly. The girl especially. Since we’ve been stopping by almost very day since the soft opening, they all know us and are always super cheery when they greet us. Which is no less than what they do with anyone who walks in the door. And it’s not the creepy dude watching you as you browse the shelves like at so many other locations.
BUT…as an architect, I’m pretty bothered by the fact that two of the three exits have been closed. Handwritten signs say out of order and and direct you to use the door on J Street. Worst part: both those doors have the wheelchair accessible sticker on them… it seems like a pretty horrible life safety issue…
AND it bothers me that the guys are constantly on the phone, both the store phone and personal cell. And they don’t bother to get off when a customer approaches the register. I used to work in retail, and I hated when customers would come up to the register on the phone, throwing money on the counter in a rush to get out and carry on with their phone call. It’s even worse when the person supposedly serving you is going on about his weekend adventures…
Open 24 hours. Sadly, every crevice of the building it’s in is filled with trash every morning from low-​cost purchases made in the wee hours of the morning.

I’m a sucker for 7-​Eleven. They have coffee in the morning — and while not strong, it’s cheap, which helps. It is also the reason I’ve become addicted to Daelman’s stroopwafel, a delicious coffee cookie.
Opened recently, is nice, and clean. Employees are friendly. You can get a filling [and occasionally] healthy lunch there for under $ 5. Open 24 hours.

This is not your ordinary 7 – 11. It’s more like a SUPER 7 – 11. The store is large, new, and very clean. The employees are very friendly and the slurpee selection is abundant!
There is a great selection of sandwiches, salads, fruit bowls, donuts, muscle milks, coffee, and the list goes on. The store is conveniently located across the street from the convention center.
As most 7 – 11 stores, there are no public restrooms.
