Apparently, I am both a ’58 Corvette and ’69 Camaro girl, because I unknowingly gravitated to these cars while meandering through the grounds of Cal Expo, looking at (mostly) classic cars. Oh, and also, if you can swing it, I highly recommend attending the Autorama on a Friday… all the same cars without the crushing crowds, which afforded some great photo ops.
So many beautiful vehicles; it’s cool to see these folks who take so much pride in their lovingly restored projects. One of my personal highlights was seeing the kid (yes, kid) who owns the green drag-​racing car that he himself drives at the Sac Speedway. He was very charming and informative… I might just go to a race this summer (free 2013 Sac Raceway schedules available!) to see him drive. Good for him!
Already looking forward to the 2014 Autorama, Feb 14 – 16 of next year! I can check one Valentine’s gift off the list ;)
