A1 Gill’s Towing

If I could give 10 stars I would. These guys are very fast, politr and definitely know what their doing. I had multiple issues wrong with my car and being stuck on side of highway. Called was told 1 hour eta, they arrived in 20 mins had my car loaded in couple of mins on the tow truck and we were off. If it hadnt been for A1 gills towing I dont know what I would of done.

I was driving with my 15 month old in the car on 75 today and I was trying to exit and the guy driving this tow truck sped up and wouldn’t allow me over and then he cut me off and flipped me off! With my baby in the car!!! I sped up to try and get past him and he followed me and cut me off again and then when I finally passed him he proceeded to follow me and honk at me repeatedly. Very rude.

The transmission linkage broke away from my gear shifter, so I could not move my car out of the garage. The folks taking care of my roadside assistance had trouble finding someone that would help me.
The driver from Gill’s arrived and knew how to fix it where we could drive it out of the garage. He then followed me to my mechanic. He was very nice and professional and I will call him the next time I am in need.,

I was a little skeptical about calling this tow company since it has one good review and the rest are just completely disappointed with it. My wife was in a minor car accident, but we still wanted to have the car towed. After calling multiple tow companies and all of them letting us know that there would be over an hour wait, we decided to call Gill’s Towing. They gave me a 30 – 35 minutes wait estimate. The tow truck got there with in 20 minutes! The gentleman was extremely polite and helpful. Oh and we also saved more than $ 40 since he didn’t charge for every single little thing in the world. I will definitely call them again. Hopefully not any time soon.

I was told that my tow truck would be there «within the hour,» and it ended up being closer to 2. On the upside, Jon is very friendly, nice, and helpful. I get that these guys want to take the jobs as they come, and it’s not uncommon, but I just wouldn’t expect the «within an hour» promise to be a sure thing. :/

I was apartment hunting today… took forever, then I finally chose a place. Signed the application, got everything handled, and then my car goes Kaput… added coolant, let it rest… even got it jumpstarted! Nothing happened to help it!
Long story short, seems like I need the alternator fixed or replaced, but I used this towing company through OnStar. Jon arrived about 5 minutes earlier than estimated, and he was really friendly. My service was prompt, efficient and I was happy.
I know there are some unhappy customers … I don’t know if they had another driver or what… but no complaints and no extra surcharges or fees aside of my current OnStar FMV service.

Would give ZERO stars if I could. Do not use this company, never felt safe with driver who was owner total creepster. Not professional at all for someone who is supposed to provide a service to stranded motorists!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I ended up with them through my At&t roadside service. Car completely died & needed to be towed literally 2.5 miles away to dealership. AT&T covers up to 4 – 7 miles with their coverage & these shady bastards called me back after booking & said it would be an additional $ 20. Asked if they took credit cards, he said no & that they could stop at an ATM or charge me $ 5 more. Then called AT&T back, told them what was going on, they apologized, cancelled order & rebooked me. I was in central dallas on a busy street, FYI– not out in the middle of nowhere.
Glad I have this extra hour sitting in broken car to write review in a timely manor.
Do not use them, absolutely shady & terrible. Taking advantage of people in a vulnerable state is beyond horrible.

Do not use gills towing. They were no help and just want to scam people. I had a simple flat tire all I needed was air and or a wrench to remove tire to put spare on but they didn’t have either. They wanted to tow me to get more money when I have free roadside assistance. He still had the nerve to charge me when he didn’t even touch me car. STAY AWAY TOTAL SCAM!!!

Gill’s towing is a family owned company and they are very friendly and very helpful the owner even told me what was wrong with my car and was a cheap fix and saved me a bunch of money!
