Bruno’s Auto Repair & 24 Hour Towing

These guys are absolutely fabulous! We are from New York and our transmission blew up in the middle of Main St. Rutland. Bruno’s is AAA so they came and towed us to Ford Dealership. Needed a new transmission and Ford was crazy expensive, I tried a few other places and got it down to $ 2000 but had to be towed to Londonderry. Called the guy that towed us to Ford Dealership and he said «hey, Bruno’s does transmissions too» so I called Mike and he beat the price by $ 100 and only $ 50 to tow (vs. $ 250!). They got us a used transmission and we picked it up the next weekend. Drove 2 miles and the tranny started slipping again. Brought it right back to shop and called Roy. He called the parts place and they said they would replace. Second transmission replaced. Came back in another week (live in NY, remember!). Took it up to Killington was fine. On the way home to NY it started slipping again. We pulled over in Manchester and called Roy. He said lock it up and I’m sending the tow. These guys came and got our car in Manchester!!! Roy took it back to Ford and investigated the issue. He test drove the car every day and it seemed to be ok. Came and got it this past weekend. Roy said if we get stuck on the way to NY he would come and tow us the rest of the way home! We made it home just fine. It was such a pleasure to deal with these guys under these really really frustrating circumstances. Only got charged our agreed upon price and nothing more. These guys really stand behind their word and their work. It was a PLEASURE to deal with them!!!

These guys did a remote pickup and drop-​off for me in fine style. Just had to call and remind them to send me the receipt (paid by card over the phone) so I could send it to my insurance company.
