My Husband and I knew we wanted to have a special ceremony that made sense for us. We are not religious but it was important to include our story, our families and our values. We knew that hiring a celebrant would make the most sense for us b/​c they know how to craft a ceremony and work to put the personal touches that we wanted. Picking Jessie was incredibly easy. She was flexible when planning to meet with us and gave us a warm feeling immediately. Her personality was a major win b/​c she would be talking for most of the ceremony and would set the tone. She had great communication during the whole process and made sure we were on track with our wedding homework and also getting the marriage license in time for the ceremony. Ultimately we were so very pleased with her work. She also helped us pick out three readings, incorporating one into her own part of the ceremony. We received a ton of compliments during the reception on how unique and personal our ceremony felt. Everyone loved it. I would recommend Jessie to anyone who wants a truly unique and personal touch to their ceremony.

My wife and I absolutely loved working with Jessie from Eclectic Unions. We first got in touch with Jessie because we wanted a simple, unique, non-​religious ceremony. She was so personable and funny at our first meeting, we knew she was right for us. She was so in touch throughout the whole process and really created a personalized, one of a kind ceremony. I felt like she took the time to get us as a couple and answer any wedding related questions we had. I also really enjoyed her process of having the couple answer questions about their relationship separately to provide information for the ceremony. We chose to share our answers over dinner before the wedding and it was just a really fun conversation to have with my future wife and go over the little details of our relationship. It was also really nice to see all of those little details we shared show up in Jessie’s ceremony. All of our guests loved our ceremony and we receive compliments on it every day! If I could do it all over again, I would definitely work with Jessie again! The ceremony was so perfect, I even cried during it, something I never thought I would do!

Jessie created and performed a challenging ceremony yesterday for my wife and I. She created an atheist ceremony that managed not only to not offend anyone, but had many friends and family expressing admiration and delight. She capture the poignancy and love of the moment brilliantly. Many guests told me it was the most inspired ceremony they had ever seen. Look no further than eclectic unions. She made our ceremony more than I could have ever imagined.

I am proud to say that my husband and I LOVE Jessie. She’s absolutely amazing! Not only is she super responsive (I’ve gotten responses within minutes), but she can write one heck of a ceremony. She performed a simple ceremony (on short notice) for our sick grandparents last year so they could see us get married since they wouldn’t be able to travel to our wedding destination in Salem, MA. She then also traveled all the way up to Salem, MA to marry my husband and I. I couldn’t have imagined my ceremony being performed by anyone else. She even sat in a gas line in NJ for 5 HOURS (Thank you Hurricane Sandy) to make sure she could travel to our ceremony. What else could a person ask for?

Jessie is incredible. She was the first person we hired for our wedding and the last person I saw (other my bridal attendant) before I went down the aisle. She is warm, sweet, pleasant, and a very special person. She is also extremely talented at what she does. Her entire process — from the initial consultation to the wedding homework to the ceremony drafting — is handled professionally and efficiently.
She’s the only person I ever met who gets back to e-​mails quicker than I do, and in my book that alone deserves five stars. In the crazy whirlwind of wedding planning, Jessie was dependable and calm, and she always had a quick answer and a kind word. We constantly would say that we felt so lucky and happy to have her.
Her wedding homework was great for me to fill out; I laughed, I cried, I thought about my life and my relationship and my family and my friends and love. The ceremony she wrote for us was also very beautiful. I felt so calm on my wedding night, and I really enjoyed standing under the chuppah with my husband listening to Jessie’s mellow, strong voice read our ceremony. We told her we wanted something sentimental but light-​hearted, funny but emotional, and that is exactly what we got. Jessie took our suggestions for readings, quotes, and features (like the wine ceremony and our Seven Blessings) beautifully, and we had a lot of them. She also put up with me putting my lawyer hat on and red-​lining her first ceremony draft, which means she is a saint.
She also selected her attire and even nail polish to coordinate with our wedding colors, which was really awesome. Most importantly, though, she was reliable and on top of her job. We got our marriage certificate back from the town clerk while we were on our honeymoon. When I opened it, I realized I hadn’t even asked about the marriage license after I handed it off to my maid of honor on the morning of the wedding. I trusted Jessie that much to do her job and to do it right, and she absolutely did.
We really wanted to be married by someone who worked to get a good personal sense of us and could speak genuinely about us as a couple. It was so important to us to have a ceremony that could both be a written artifact of this amazing event in our lives as well as a statement to our guests and loved ones about who we are and what we believe. When you have a secular wedding you get the entire time of your ceremony to express yourself to your guests, tell your story, and create your own ritual that solemnizes your connection and celebrates your past, present, and future. A number of our guests have told me that they thought Jessie was a friend of ours, someone who had known us for years. They were really surprised to learn that we had found her online and hired her as our Celebrant. Jessie has our very highest possible recommendation. She’s the best!

Jessie was a dream. From the start she put us at ease and really listened to what we wanted. I loved filling out her wedding homework; the questions made me think deeply about my relationship and the meaning of marriage. She used our answers to create a ceremony that was uniquely us. We recommend her very highly!

Jessie was an absolute pleasure to work with all the way through the process of putting together to ultimately performing our wedding ceremony. From our first contact with her, we had a really good feeling that we could trust her with this important occasion. She just immediately comes across as kind, warm, and happy, which are all qualities we wanted in our wedding. She was patient with our quirks and questions, and the whole process went very smoothly. We live in Michigan but had our wedding NJ, and Jessie accommodated the distance problem by Skyping with us and by emailing with us regularly and promptly. On the wedding day, she was on time, efficient with the paperwork aspect of it, and the ceremony that she helped us put together was just perfect. My wife (!) and I couldn’t recommend her more enthusiastically!

Patient, professional, and comforting. Jessie did an incredible job with our ceremony. From our initial meeting, we knew we were in the perfect hands. She is extremely organized and really knows her craft. She responds to any questions or concerns extremely fast. Everyone at the wedding commented that our ceremony was beautiful and touching. Jessie helped make that happen!

Jessie was absolutely wonderful. As soon as we first met we decided to go with her. She was so prepared and so detail oriented we felt no need to look into another officiant. she knows her stuff and it shows. she made our day so special. she had great ideas and really put together a ceremony that made even the toughest of guys shed a tear. she delivered exactly what we wanted. she returned all emails and calls so promptly. she was 100% reliable and dependable. she def has a gift and is very talented– you will not regret hiring her.
She was full of ideas and put together the personal, touching ceremony. at our first meeting she asked us what type of ceremony we were looking for, what we wanted our guests to walk away feeling, and overall tone– I told her I wanted people to laugh and cry– i wanted it to be personal about us — as well as memorable and not boring like most ceremonies ive been to and she hit every nail on the head. she deserves way more than 5 stars thank you jessie

Let me start out by saying that Jessie really is absolutely wonderful and both my spouse and I have recommended her to everyone we know. My spouse and I had reached out to several people to perform our wedding ceremony. We decided to work with Jessie and could not be happier. She was very quick in replies to us. She worked with us in coming up with the perfect ceremony and incorporating various ideas we had. We wanted a mix of traditional with touches of our heritage mixed in and it was better than we had hoped for. She was perfect when performing our civil union and helped set the perfect tone for the ceremony.
One’s wedding is that one time event in which you don’t want anything to go wrong. I can say without question that I would recommend Jessie to anyone, and do so without reservation. She is something that you can count on to perform your civil union or wedding and cross that off your list of things to worry about.

Jessie Blum from Eclectic Unions was the best part of my wedding– and I had a fantastic wedding so that is saying a lot. Our ceremony was perfect! We loved it and our guests still cannot stop talking about it a month later. They loved all the little touches we included and how the ceremony was all about us! Many of my older guests had not been to a non-​religious wedding and they were pleasantly surprised. We did a ring warming and most of my guests had never heard of anything like it and loved the idea. We also did a wine sharing and at the end, both my husband and I broke glasses. I wasn’t going to let him have all the glass-​breaking fun!

Not only did she perform beautifully the day of, but she was great to communicate with through email and we met a few times prior and she is always on time! There is no vendor from my wedding that I would recommend more than Jessie from Eclectic Unions. A+++ !
