Chris’ Pizza

I have been ordering from this place for months. They consistently have great food. Everything from their chicken marsala to their sandwiches is impeccable. You really get what you pay for here. The owner is also very kind as well.

Yesterday, I walked in with my coworkers to find no pizza selection on the counter, theirs was literally nothing to choose from. I should’ve taken a pic!
When I asked if anything was going to be ready they answered with, «we had a lot of orders this morning so it will be a while and the pizza maker had an attitude»! When the poor guy asked the question. This was not cool so we walked right out. FYI… If you know lunch time is near, have stuff ready for your customers.
Will try to go back another day because I love their pizza and I have to prove to my coworkers that it was just a one day flaw.

So the owner sent me a nasty message. Trying to say this practice is proper. And if I didn’t see it that would be ok. I would never eat there for the fact the pizza was the worst nj has to offer, they are dirty, and the owner is rude

Personally, Chris’s has always been my after school stop to appease my hunger. Their pizza is not the best, but it’s descent and their hero sandwiches are pretty good. Definitely not somewhere you’d go for a date! A comfortable place to meet friends or grab a quick eat!

I work all over the state of New Jersey… That being said, I love pizza! So I am always trying new places. I give this pizzeria five stars. Fast, Family friendly, delicious dough, cheesy cheese and the sweetest sauce. Keep up the good work guys!

Best pizza in town. If you are tired of papa johns and dominos give it a try. You won’t regret.

My favorite pizza me n my girls come atleast once a week and the owner is a sweetheart interacts with with everyone last week I took my in laws there from NY n believe JERSEY has HORRIBLE PIZZA when I took them to Chris they fell in love

Yesterday I ordered their gluten free pizza and it was delicious. One of the best GF pizzas I had.

Pretty run of the mill pizza place. There is nothing really special about this spot. Pizza is of average quality but be aware of ordering toppings. Ordered a mushroom slice and got two little mushrooms. Almost a dollar extra for that? Found a new pizza place down the block that i have been much happier with.

Good pizza, convenient location on Park Avenue in Rutherford. Food wise, they’re your standard NJ pizza joint. I do have to say their sauce is really good (both on their pizza and their dishes). Love their Eggplant Rollatini! That gets them the extra star, it’s really good!

The food here is ok, but they’ve reduced portion sizes over the years, which amounts to a significant loss in value. I used to order weekly but have cut back to bimonthly at the most. For the price, I like other places.

Absolutely awful service. The other day, I walked in for a slice. As I approached the counter, the girl asked me to wait while she took an incoming call. And that was fine because, obviously, I realize that these places take orders over the phone. Meanwhile, the guy making the pizza (presumably the owner) saw me standing there but didn’t bother to take my order. Instead, he walked out from behind the counter to watch a Spanish-​language soccer match on their big-​screen TV. The girl then spent the next 5 – 7 minutes on the phone with the customer, never pausing to take my order, to direct someone else to do so; or to apologize. Then, after she finally hung up, she walked right past me and disappeared into the back! And all the while, the owner continued standing in front of the TV.
I stormed out. What an absolute dump.

Chris pizza is definitely the best pizza in Rutherford. That being said Uncle Bruno’s has a wider menu. I order chris because it is very convenient and the prices are fair. The sauce is excellent.

So first off I’m new to Rutherford and my best friend surprised me with lunch delivered to our home. I thought it was so amazing to have someone do that and even cover the tip. She said they would come at 12 and they sure did.
So on to the review:
Pizza (Cheese and Meatlovers) was actually really good and even when it’s heated the next day. The crunchiness at the bottom of the pizza is so my fave! It wasn’t so greasy and def not soggy!
We also had mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce which was actually pretty good. They are very generous with the cheese. The chicken fingers were a bit too bready but still good. The kids loveddddd the French fries. Handcut fries are always the best. And the chicken salad with oil/​vinegar was nice and healthy… nothing too special to say about it.
The one thing I do not like it is how they left her credit card information on the receipt with the expiration date. I find that unprofessional and should not be leaving private information especially with the identity theft happening ²⁴⁄₇. They need to fix this and be more careful with people’s identity.
Other than that, I would always pay cash here and will have their pizza in the future.

I’ve only ordered pizza here and I thought it was good. It’s not expensive and always fresh when I get it. I don’t know why there are a lot of negative reviews about this place. Maybe I’ve just been lucky.

Of all the pizza places in the area, and trust me there are A LOT — there are none that compare to Chris… The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. I have done both take-​out and eat-​in and the quality remains consistent.
The staff is always very friendly — I do not know how people could possibly give bad reviews!
I definitely recommend the buffalo chicken pizza — top notch — not too heavy, not too greasy, just right!
Perhaps one of the best qualities of the place is the feeling of family you get when you walk in. I am always asked how my day is going, and the staff actively engages in conversation with me as if I am their best customer!
Next time you are looking to order pizza, don’t look any further then Chris!

I don’t understand what the bad reviews are about. Had a slice yesterday and the pizza is exactly the way pizza tasted back in the 60’s: thin crust, not at all doughy, and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Excellent!!!

I don’t know who is doing the hiring, but the young woman there needs training in what customer service means to a business … Rudeness and attitude won’t bring back customers. There are plenty of pizza restaurants within the town of Rutherford that have polite people working for them … And the pizza is just a good, if not better!

It’s a casual pizza place but makes it great is the friendly owner who puts a smile on your face when he’s around and their friendly staff! I always loved their pizza and wonder how he makes it so good??? Their prices are definitely nice. For some reason I just really love their plain slices — it’s the best one.
Don’t expect gourmet dining here. It’s just an everyday pizza parlor but it’s great for eating in on those laid back nights or for quick lunch.

Had this place the other night for the first time and I loved it. The pizza was awesome and the crust was nice and doughy.
We actually used a coupon we had so the pizza was free!
I have had a few places in the area and this place is at the top of the list. The only little knock on it are the slices are a little small but that really is not an issue.
I like pizza with a doughy crust and not too heavy on sauce or grease and this pizza was perfect for that. I have seen a ton of reviews about Best Pizza and I go to those places and I am not impressed. It seems general population is in love with thin crust. This is not thin crust, so maybe that is why the not so hot reviews but I hope they are going to be consistent.
We will be ordering from here once every 2 weeks until they disappoint us!
