Specialties
Alpha Omega’s winemakers are creating wines that reflect their passion and express the unique terroir that is Napa Valley by sourcing prized grapes from the various terroirs of Napa Valley — the valley floor, hillside, mountain and coast. The winemakers believe that by blending the essence of these select terroirs, they can handcraft finesse-driven, complex and balanced wines that express the aromatic profile of the best Napa Valley has to offer.
History
Established in 2006.
Robin Baggett moved to Napa Valley in 2006 with his wife, Michelle, to found Alpha Omega. A third generation Northern Californian, Robin began his wine career in 1988 as a grape grower, planting over 800 acres of grapes in San Luis Obispo. In 1997, he founded Tolosa Winery and Courtside Cellars, a custom crush facility. Robin and Michelle also run a cow-calf cattle operation on their ranches in San Luis Obispo as well as their Lake Berryessa ranch in Napa.
Robin attended Cal Poly on a baseball scholarship. In 1998 he was inducted into the Cal Poly Athletic Hall of Fame and in 2001 Cal Poly’s new baseball stadium was named after him. An Attorney, Robin’s law career included an 8 year stint as General Counsel to NBA’s Golden State Warriors. Michelle’s more than 23 years of hospitality, wine marketing and brand development has influenced the creation of Alpha Omega’s brand.
