Stagecrafters continues to bring exciting and fresh entertainment to Southeast Michigan! Our Main Stage is infused with Broadway-​style plays and musicals. Our black-​box studio theatre, 2nd Stage presents contemporary /​off-​Broadway shows. Stagecrafters Youth Theatre offers fun entertainment for youth by youth. Located at the Baldwin Theatre in downtown Royal Oak, Stagecrafters is within walking distance to many casual and fine dining restaurants, coffeehouses and retailers. Convenient structure or on-​street parking.

History

Established in 1956.

Stagecrafters started out in Clawson, MI in 1956 as Clawson Community Club Players with just a few members. The name changed to Stagecrafters in 1957. Stagecrafters purchased and restored the Baldwin Theatre in 1985. Today, Stagecrafters has approximately 230+ members annually.
