We absolutely love Dr. Dillon! She is a fantastic caring pediatrician. The dentist here as well is excellent with children and takes Medicade. Staff is always friendly and professional, office and rooms are always clean. The waiting room has a tv and small play area off children.

I have been going to this clinic for over a year. Yes, I had to be put on a waiting list and call several times to get an appointment, but after that, I was able to get in within a reasonable time frame when necessary. Both doctors are extremely kind, caring and patient. I feel like they really listen to your concerns. I was treated much better in this office than I had been at a «upscale,» private practice office in Bloomfield Hills. The sliding scale is very reasonable considering I don’t have insurance. I’m thankful I found them.

I am new to the un-​insured world and was very nervous I would never get in to see a doctor. Even with insurance, it is hard to find a place that will take you on as a new patient right away. I called Covenant Community Care yesterday morning and was able to get in that afternoon. Most of the staff was extremely friendly, my appointment only cost $ 20, and I got a discount prescription card so I was able to get my prescription filled for just $ 4!
Listening in on the receptionists’ conversations in the waiting room, it sounds like there is a waiting list to get in and the doctors are very busy. I can only hope that I got in because they reserve some same-​day appts for people who are sick, and that I didn’t just jump in front of everyone because the receptionist liked me or something.
My main complaint is I got really inconsistent information about how to utilize the other centers that are closer to my house from the staff there and the website, and I’m still confused about that.
Also, I know this sounds crazy, because we are always hearing about how doctors don’t spend enough time with their patients, and I was very grateful to be cared for, but considering their long waiting list, I did feel that my extremely kind doctor, and my not-​so-​kind physician’s assistant both spent a bit more time than was necessary talking about things like my family history and what vitamins I was taking when I just had a simple viral infection, and really didn’t even need to be there as it turned out. That said, it was extremely refreshing to be seen by a doctor that looked you in the eyes, really listened to you and seemed to truly care about how you are feeling and you as a person.
Overall, a really good place to get into and am very grateful for my experience.

This is a low-​cost health clinic that offers care on a sliding fee scale if you have no insurance. Some flutterings of an unexpected health situation is rearing its ugly head and, after a little waiting and seeing, things don’t seem to be getting better. As such, it requires me to seek some medical attention. Heard about this clinic in Royal Oak and called to get info and possibly make an appointment.
The receptionist I spoke with was nice. She informed me that the cost is generally $ 20-​$ 50 based on your income and family size. That fee would include the office visit and basic labs (urine/​bloodwork). I actually worked many years for a community health center down in FL that operates in a similar manner (except in-​house labwork there was not normally included in the office visit fee). CCHC also works in conjunction with the Beaumont Health System and if you require, say, something like x-​rays, they would refer you there to have them and other discounts may apply depending on the service. For the theoretical x-​rays, it would be around a 40% discount.
I sort of got set up for an appointment. More so, got put on a waiting list. If someone cancels and a spot opens up, they give me a shout. Apparently this can take 7 – 10 days or I was advised to call first thing the next morning to check in on any possible/​more ASAP openings. Oh well, it’s better than nothing or third world country care (i.e., I am grateful this option is available to me and the general public, thus the 3 stars). All my demographic info was taken over the phone and I was advised to bring in a photo ID and proof of income on the day of the appointment. The sliding fee scale is established at that time.
CCHC has 3 other locations in the Detroit area (W. Grand Blvd., Michigan Ave., and on Waterman). The Michigan Ave. location offers dental services. Evening hours are also available depending on the location.
