Do not use this service. If we could give it zero stars we would. Took us to the wrong convention center even though we confirmed 3 times as well as when we got out of his cab. The driver played loud rap music the entire time. When we called back the service did nothing to make amends.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

These people can go to the AIRPORT but not to Hyde Park for a pick up??? Talking about they don’t go that far! WHAT!!! The airport is farther! Unbelievable! Use with caution! Dispatch problem!!!
Take a TAXI or UBER!

I have to say, no matter how many times I try to go with Boston Cab or Metro, I end up dissapointed. But Asthar always saves my life. The drivers are always friendly, accomodating and they are way more affordable than the regular cab.

I’ve used this service for almost 20yrs, and I’m sad to report the drop in their reliability, and their customer service. The dispatcher they’ve had for the past year have been horrible, and rude, especially the men who answer. Today I called a half an hour in advance to assure I will be on time. called at 9:30 am, had to be somewhere very important at 10am. I waited 15mins, called to check, and they told me to go outside. went outside waiting and no car, called back and they assured me a lincoln car would be there any minute. again no car showed. called back again and asked them to ck on the car and the address they went to because it is now 9:50am and I’m in a hurry, they put me on hold, come back and tell me the driver picked up someone else by accident smh, then they tell me don’t worry another car will be there in 1 min. So I wait again and again no car shows up, I call back again it’s now 9:55am and ask them to ck on the car and make sure they are at the right address again, they keep putting me on hold, come back and tell me now the other car has gone to the wrong address again smh. Now I’m pissed it’s 10am and now I’m late. They did apologize, but were still acted like it wasn’t a big deal. to them but it was to me, and asked in a condescending way if I still wanted the car… like I had a choice considering I’m now late because of them smh,. The car finally arrived and I was 15mins late. So sad to say, I will call other car services or taxi’s now. very disappointed.

Hands down best service! I called them in a panic because we overslept for a flight! It was the morning after receiving 8″ of snow. Just in case they couldn’t unbury their car from snow and ice, I started shoveling my car out of the snow while simultaneously receiving a lecture from a neighbor about putting snow on the sidewalk! I digress. Back to this awesome car service AND customer service… They got a car to our door 15 minutes after I called them, I put my shovel down. I know you are dying to know whether or not they got us to the airport in time, they did! However a bag needed to be checked and we were there 20 minutes before the flight, we missed it. The point is, this car service was so accommodating and so so lovely! I love them and will always use them and HIGHLY recommend them!

This was a terrible experience. I called requesting a ride to the airport and they came early. Not the end of the world but I has to rush leaving work. It was a beat up silver mini van that picked me up and the woman beeped to let me know where she was (she did not get of of the van to help me with my bags!). There was no meter, no sign of this being a legitimate company at all. Then when I arrived to the airport she quoted me a higher amount than when I reserved the pick up! Never again!

Making a reservation took me a good part of ten minutes on the phone.
The car arrived on time but the 15 minute advanced call never made it.
My carry on had to go on the trunk on top of a dirty full spare tire.
The driving was fast and furious, very shaky; the driver never gave me a greeting.
Upon arrival to Logan he would not accept any credit cards, a question I had clearly asked on the phone.
(I asked him to tell the office to call me home next week to get payment, sorry).

Asthar was so responsible and kind! They were perfectly on time to pick me up and even waited when I got stuck at work.
Strongly recommended — nice to have this great service in Dorchester!

They have never failed me yet. Very reliable. The only thing is I wish there payment system was more organized

Driver arrived right on time, service was prompt and polite. It looks like you can prepay with a card but if you don’t prepay you need to have cash on hand. I had enough for the price (which was very reasonable), but not enough for tip. The driver, Dennis, was very understanding, so I figure the least I can do is give him and the company a good review!

I read great reviews for their airport transportation soon to learn they don’t pick up at the airport. They should not be categorized under airport transportation.

I had an early morning flight and needed to get a cab to the airport. When I’m in Boston, I stay down in Dorchester in the Savin Hill area. I contacted a Cambridge-​based cab company, but they wanted $ 50 and seemed reluctant even then.
Asthar was happy to accommodate. I was able to schedule the cab the day before. They called 15 minutes before pickup to confirm I still wanted the cab, and then arrived on-​time. The ride to the airport was pleasant and only cost $ 35. I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

I have an uncanny ability to book flights that leave Logan at 6:00 a.m. Entirely too early for the T. And waaaay to early to ask even the bestest of friends to take my sorry ass to the airport. So, relying on the notoriously unreliable Boston taxi cab drivers is what we end up with.
We had been using a livery service based out of Cambridge, but last January they forgot us and we nearly missed our flight to Florida. This time we stayed more local. Asthar is located right around the corner in Egleston Square. Yeah, it looks a little sketch, but I called, spoke to a lovely woman who was more than happy to arrange a driver for 4 am the next morning.
And, unlike the Cambridge service, they are staffed 24 hours a day– so instead of leaving increasingly agitated messages on some dude’s cellphone we’d actually be able to reach someone if there was a problem.
Luckily no problems! At 4:01 my cellphone rings, the driver is right out front. He doesn’t speak a lick of English, but I’m not exactly up for small talk that early in the morning. He takes us to the airport quickly and safely. Cost? $ 35. Not bad. Not bad at all.
I’ll definitely be using them again for airport trips and am looking forward to trying them out when our drunkass friends need to get home and no other taxi service will head up to our little spot in JP.
