Joseph Sullivan Carpet Cleaning

I wanted to drop off my rug, but they told me pick up only. They came and took my rug and the follow week told me it was ready. When I called to set up having my rug dropped off, some «picked up my rug»… interesting someone picked up my rug when it is drop off and pick up only.
They tried to «find my rug» on Wednesday I was told they would send me a check ASAP. I asked what ASAP was to clarify and was told if a money order was ok, they would get it that day and put it in the mail no later than Thursday am if not I would have to wait for the owner to come in on Friday. I said a money order was fine. I agreed to $ 200, even though I thought the rug was worth a lot more.
I checked my mailbox every day waiting for the check and no check. Finally on Wednesday I called back and was told that they could not get a money order and that the owner would be in that day and they would get a check to me (funny how he was supposed to be in the week before).
I expressed how disappointed I was and reminded them how calm and patient I have been, how they could have at least called me to let me know there was an issue and that I agreed to amount less than what I thought the carpet was worth. I was then assured that the woman would speak to the owner and then PROMISED to call me the next day– Thursday– guess what– they never called.
It took multiple phone calls on Friday to finally get someone and finally spoke to the owner… who hung up on me 3 times when I was trying to confirm my address «because I was saying bad things about his business»… So you lose my rug, don’t reimburse me for what I thought it was worth, don’t send the payment and don’t call me and I’m the bad guy for saying ‘bad things”?
It’s easy for a company to be nice when everything is going well, however their true colors show when something goes wrong… «Losing» a rug is one thing, not handling it appropriately is another…

Update on business:
No longer located in Roxbury. They are somewhere in Weymouth.
No longer taking drop offs — but pick up & drop off included in price.
Jamie came by relatively soon after speaking to him to get my rug — which was great since I had a tight time frame. And, when he collected the rug he dropped his price 25.00 off of his phone quote — amazing!
Jamie ran a little bit late with the estimated drop off time but it all worked out fine. He carried the clean rug upstairs and collected the cash (not sure if he deals with other forms of payment).
All in all an easy & pleasant experience. Jamie was very pleasant to deal with and thankfully my rug no longer smells of dog urine (from a visiting canine who will no longer be a welcome guest!).

The carpets so needed a good cleaning and after Joe’s magic, they look brand new! Highly recommended!

Jaimee from this company literally just left our apartment after shampooing our carpet and I just had to write them a review. He was so nice, helpful and professional. Most importantly, our carpet looks brand new and smells so good. Our carpet definitely needed that!
Jo Sullivan was also a pleasure to work with over the phone to set it up. He scheduled the cleaning when I was available and he was flexible with dates and times.
I had a large area rug that I had them clean and they picked it up a few days before they came to clean our carpets so that they could bring it back to us cleaned today. So convenient!
This was soooo worth it!!!

We have been here twice, and both times we have received excellent service. The work is of high quality, and with the new entrance on Tremont St. it is easy to drop off and pick up your rug.
