Venus Nails & Spa

I am really sad about this place. It used to be so awesome. When I started going there years ago, they never spoke to each other in a foreign language, talked on cell phones, or hurried through services. They either sold the place or got new management but it is slowly getting worse and worse.
The last time I went will be the last time I EVER go. I needed to get my eyebrows waxed. This is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly, in my opinion. The woman answered her phone and had a 2 minute conversation while applying hot wax to my face around my eyes. I might accept there was an emergency, but after that she proceeded to make two more calls. I don’t think anyone should be allowed to have their cell phone while dealing with a client. It is very rude. I believe I would be fired if I stopped to take a personal call while handling a client at my job.
Leave the cell phones in the back and handle clients. There isn’t anything that important. If there is, then have your loved ones call the salon and have them relay a message.
Ridiculous!!!

Been here more than a few times throughout this year because it was more full service but service has gone downhill. Just rather got to a simpler place with nicer people.

Diane is amazing Sue Ann is so welcoming and sweet! Best pedicure I’ve ever had… thanks Diane! I’ve been going here for over a year now and have referred several people who will only go back there for pampering! Trust me, you won’t be sorry! When I walk in there everyone makes me feel like I’m part of the family!

1^st time visit! Very clean and nicely decorated! Quiet and calming! I had the basic pedi but it was very involved. I had a male tech and his foot and calf rub was FANTASTIC!

I made appointments for my bridal party in the night before our wedding. There were 10 of us. The Staff at Venus Spa were very accommodating. They place is very clean and Staff is friendly. They got us in and out all around the same time.

New owners in September 2011. Prices skyrocketed and service declined. No more hot rock massage with a pedi, unless you want to pay $ 35. No more callus removing unless you want to pay $ 30. My fill and my pedi went up. Total for both = an increase of $ 20 from last time. $ 70 total. I will be shopping around for better service for my money.

Great service & price! I have been looking for a nail salon in the Rowlett area for a few months now that offers great service at an affordable price. I found both and then some at Venus Nails & Spa. The facility is very nice, clean, relaxing and modern. The nail technicians are friendly and efficient. I love that you get to chose your scented lotion. A mani-​pedi combo is $ 35 and totally worth it!

Very clean. They offer complimentary wine or bottled water. Karen did my pedi and it was nice. Water could’ve been warmer, but not a big deal. She wasn’t overly chatty, which I really enjoyed. Another girl did my mani, but she didn’t have a name tag. Nice experience as well. I ended up here because two very nice ladies at mcallisters down the road recommended it. They had just come from oscars nails and said it was way overpriced and not that good.
Side note… the manicure only lasted one day. I didn’t do anything overly exciting, but the polish chipped anyway. Pedicure polish lasted a full week, which is what I usually expect.

Love this salon! Have always had great service, very clean and sanitized equipment. Took a few of my bridesmaids here to get mani/​pedis before my wedding day. They even gave me a few dollars off of my mani/​pedi because I was the bride :) They do a great hot stone massage on the hands and feet. Definitely recommend this place! =)

Really clean place with a great atmosphere. 12 pedi chairs so there’s never too long a wait, and if you’re getting a mani they will do it at the same time if there’s a nail tech available. The girls who helped my sister and I were really sweet and did a great job. Manicures are $ 12 and pedicures are $ 25 and include your choice of scented lotion, reflexology massage and hot stone massage. I think it’s a great pedicure for the price and will definitely be going back!
